"Acquia DAM Provides Powerful Asset Management Backed by Excellent Resources and Support"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Acquia DAM (Widen)?

Acquia DAM (Widen) is an excellent platform for storing, organizing, and managing digital assets at scale. The user experience is intuitive and well-designed, offering both list and icon views that make it easy for users to browse and locate content quickly.

The platform provides flexible configuration options for asset groups, categories, metadata, and user roles, allowing organizations to tailor the DAM to their specific needs. Search functionality is powerful, helping users find assets efficiently even within large libraries. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Acquia DAM (Widen)?

Overall, Acquia DAM has met our needs very well. One enhancement that would be valuable for administrators would be the ability to preview the assets from the perspective of different user roles before publishing configuration changes. This would make it easier to validate permissions, navigation, and user experiences across various audiences.

In addition, while Acquia provides a strong knowledge base, more role-specific training resources, practical use-case examples, and video tutorials would be beneficial. Content tailored to how organizations are using the platform in real-world scenarios would help both administrators and end users maximize the value of the DAM and accelerate adoption across teams. "Acquia is Committed to Continuous Improvement"
4/5
What do you like best about Acquia DAM (Widen)?

I like that Acquia is eager to find ways to improve their product line with improvements that matter to their customers like hosting the summits. They help Acquia staff and customers stay in touch with each other, while learning about the different ways we can use the software to improve our work lives. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Acquia DAM (Widen)?

There seems to be a steady flow account reps changing out since we began using the software in 2024. We understand that although they were all friendly and helpful, there is sometimes a lack of understanding about software issues and questions we had, and either they sent us an article or sometimes there was no response at all after they offered to look into things. I see there has been an effort to improve this recently, so it's not so bad now. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Revolutionized Asset Management and Team Collaboration"
5/5
What do you like best about Acquia DAM (Widen)?

I love the Paths feature, using it to help solve an issue of a broken process which took up manual time. The support team Acquia has built is extremely helpful. They are excited about helping and talking about new features and benefits, and they seem to love hearing feedback and building on those feedback. It's truly a supportive team. What do you dislike about Acquia DAM (Widen)?

Some features on the portal side could use more work. Like the feature banners, being able to add multiple buttons and editing the template on the portal pages would be nice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Organized Portals that Boost Asset Downloads"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Acquia DAM (Widen)?

I love the dynamic filtering feature in Portals, it helps keep the Admins accountable for the correct tagging and releasing of assets to make sure they populate in the Portals. I also like how clean Portals are for presenting materials for Campaigns, it makes for a much easier landing point for our users to download assets and has increased downloads overall. What do you dislike about Acquia DAM (Widen)?

I wish there were more web building/customization options when it comes to creating portals or home pages, such as adjusting padding for text or images, or being able to drag around tiles/buttons for easier updating. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined Asset Management, Minor Filtering Hiccups"
4/5
What do you like best about Acquia DAM (Widen)?

I love the fact that I can have portals, so I can create individual collections for our distributors and partners. And they can all be very specific to different brands or companies. Another thing that I really like about it is that given the fact we have so many product numbers, I can upload a LUT from NetSuite that has all of the product numbers, with the item descriptions, make, model, all of that stuff into Acquia. And just based on naming conventions, the metadata fields will be loaded with the correct information based off of only a few keywords. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Acquia DAM (Widen)?

Sometimes the filtering options on the sidebar care not ideal to keep updated. I seem to struggle occasionally with providing updated filters on the side, showing make and model, device types, vehicles, and all that kind of stuff. Even though the search function works really well, I would still like the filters to work just as well. Streamlining how those filters are updated and work with our current auto-tagging would be great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Well-Organized Asset Management with Strong Search and Metadata"
5/5
What do you like best about Acquia DAM (Widen)?

I enjoy using Acquia DAM (Widen) overall. It provides a well-organized and centralized system for managing assets, which makes it easy to quickly find what I need. The search functionality and metadata structure are especially helpful in streamlining my workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Acquia DAM (Widen)?

One of the downsides of using Acquia DAM (Widen) is that the interface can feel unintuitive at times, especially for new users or when performing more advanced tasks. Certain workflows—like bulk editing, metadata updates, or asset sharing—can be more time-consuming than expected. Additionally, search results can occasionally be inconsistent if metadata isn’t perfectly maintained, which can make it harder to locate assets quickly. Performance can also lag when handling larger files or high volumes of assets. Overall, while it’s a powerful system, there are usability and efficiency improvements that could enhance the experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Highly Configurable Permissions Make It Stand Out"
4/5
What do you like best about Acquia DAM (Widen)?

Roles and asset permissions are highly configurable. Rarely are there any technical issues or does the site go down. Features are well tested. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Acquia DAM (Widen)?

Features are SLOW to roll out. It's been taking 2+ years to get feature parity for analytics, search, etc. The system is better geared for smaller companies. Many of our requests are based on larger volume of assets and high number of user accounts. We also get a lot of user feedback about how the user interface is not intuitive. Need more work done on the APIs, too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

AI Facial Recognition, new interface, and the new rollout of the Natural Language/NLA search, to assist users with semantics. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Acquia DAM (Widen)?

Letting features be more granular, instead of global vs none at all. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Acquia DAM Streamlines Asset Organization with Powerful Search and Collaboration"
4/5
What do you like best about Acquia DAM (Widen)?

What I like best about Acquia DAM is how effectively it centralizes and organizes digital assets while still being easy for teams to use day-to-day. The advanced metadata tagging and search capabilities make it simple to quickly find the right files, which saves a lot of time across marketing and content workflows. I also appreciate its strong collaboration features, version control, and ability to maintain brand consistency across teams and channels. The platform is scalable, intuitive, and integrates well with other marketing tools, making it valuable for both content management and cross-functional collaboration. What do you like best about Acquia DAM (Widen)?

The Insights dashboard is a great way to monitor usage across several different colletions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Acquia DAM (Widen)?

Many of our portals have different sections. It would be great if I could add sections and then have the ability to also edit the settings for all the sections once instead of having to do it in each individual section. This would be a big time saver. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
