The high level of customization allows us to manage spaces used by multiple business units on our campus, each with different operational needs, all within one product. **What do you dislike about Accruent EMS?** The Exchange integration is very difficult to use. The customer support is not good. Support should be more responsive, timely, and transparent in sharing issues. The initial setup was very difficult and frustrating. **What problems is Accruent EMS solving and how is that benefiting you?** Accruent EMS consolidates all our spaces and events into one view, easily accessible by administrators and public safety. Its customizability supports various business units with differing needs. ### 2. I’ve been able to teach some coworkers how to use the system. ### 3. It was reliable. **What do you dislike about Accruent EMS?** It was not easy to use. It seemed clunky and slow for what I needed it for. **What problems is Accruent EMS solving and how is that benefiting you?** I was just a consumer of the tool. It didn’t change my job much, but I am sure it made someone’s job easier. ### 6. Was helpful with pulling event records. **What do you dislike about Accruent EMS?** Dean Evans is very clunky and outdated. Its interface is in need of a major overhaul. It is also pretty difficult to customize, meaning that custom event set ups or needs are hard if they are not part of the software from the get go. **Recommendations to others considering Accruent EMS:** If you are looking to customize your event management platform, look elsewhere. Dean Evans EMS will do the job for standard event needs, but is not the most flexible option out there. **What problems is Accruent EMS solving and how is that benefiting you?** Scheduling events in 16 room conference center. Pulling daily plans for setup staff to use when setting up room arrangements. ### 7. Some companies charge additional fees to create a query. **What do you dislike about Accruent EMS?** The inability of programmers to create set and strike times in addition to their standard reserve and event start &end times. That they "support" nelnet and various other payment systems but have no way to integrate them. This software is still a single platform system (windows sql). We should be in an era where software is platform agnostic for ease of use of the client. There is a lot of potential in the software if support listened to their customers. I recently attended a conference where many people were using the software and the universal complaint is that the company does not listen to client suggestions for improvement. **Recommendations to others considering Accruent EMS:** Make sure that the actual product meets your needs prior to purchase. EMS promised that our needs would be addressed in future upgrades which has not been our experience. **What problems is Accruent EMS solving and how is that benefiting you?** Multiple facilities are using EMS enterprise for conferences and events on my campus. The only locations that have great success are facilities that don't have multi-function spaces such as a standard auditorium or a classroom.
