The tax group design doesn't apply to those countries where sales tax is included in the price. For this part, XERO is doing a better job for users to identify each billing is VAT included or excluded, and it will do the rest. My country is generally VAT included, so I need to calculate the VAT amount by myself and create a separate VAT line for each transaction. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Overall, Accounting Seed is NOT an accounting software by any stretch of the imagination. I am a fractional CFO for many clients. One of my new clients had implemented Accounting Seed and was in month 6 of implementation. The toll it took on the team to migrate from QB Desktop to Accounting Seed was noticeable. During my first six months I watched the organization struggle on every level and finally made the strong recommendation to abandon Accounting Seed altogether. After 18 months of a nightmare experience, my client is finally off of Accounting Seed!

My fractional CFO firm employed over 50 professionals, including accountants, financial controllers, and CFO's. None of them had ever heard nor worked with Accounting Seed. Thus, trying to find people who can actually use Accounting Seed is another reason to not move to Accounting Seed. Financial reporting was abysmal and Accounting Seed's promised updates always fell short of expectations.

Do NOT use Accounting Seed even if you hear there are efficiencies to be had with Salesforce. Is not worth it! We spent over $100K to force Salesforce to talk to Accounting Seed. Upon asking for some financial concessions from Accounting Seed after this disaster, they answered, "...we have decided not to increase your subscription rates this year." Unbelievable.

That you have to log in to their support portal now to submit support cases and I don't get email replies when they reply so I have to log in to see what they said. They built their support portal using Lightning Community and it's not very good. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
