I like that we can basically customize ANYTHING within the app to make it work for us.

I don't dislike much of anything at this point. We have, so far, had a great experience with AccountingSEED. All of our questions have been answered, all of our problems to date have been solved when we bring them up. The teams are very quick to get back to us if there's help requested.

Make sure you figure our ALL of your paths before implementing. There are so many caveats that need to be filled before you go live.

We found easier ways to keep track of our books, as well as making sure that all our billing is now streamlined and fairly automated. We also used to do most of our accounting in Quickbooks and now everything sits within our Org in Salesforce. It's awesome!

I am a "power" Salesforce user and have always wished accounting could be managed in Salesforce, and now it finally can. I love not having to have a separate software to list accounts, contact, etc. I've already entered it in Salesforce once. Why have to enter it again somewhere else? I also like being able to slice and dice data based on custom fields and objects, combined with revenue. So now I can make reports that show revenue info, for example, and zooms in on specific categories / client types that I already created in Salesforce

Take a little bit of getting used to compared to Quickbooks and other accounting systems, but if you like Salesforce, you'll pick it up pretty quickly.

Creating reports can be frustrating and difficult, and support can only occur via email, unless you upgrade to phone support

It's a great program, easy to learn and use, and integrates perfectly with Salesforce. You won't regret changing over to AS, especially if you're switching from Quickbooks

We mostly use AS right now for Accounts Payable. It's a great system, and has prevented more than once the entering of repeat invoices.

We have recently implemented Accounting Seed and it was a huge improvement from our previous system. We love that the system is built off of Force.com which allows us to make simple changes. If Accounting Seed is missing a field that better suits your business you can add it without writing code. If you have a good understanding of how Salesforce works Accounting Seed only enhances it.

We would like to be able to have a little more control over buttons such as Post. One of the Post buttons is stored within a managed package and we currently cannot disable this button for standard Accounting users. This issue is really the only thing that we do not like. The remainder of the program works well.

I would strongly recommend that you hire a third party consultant that has implemented Accounting Seed. Our consultant was able to help us through the entire process because they understood the full picture. Accounting Seed did an excellent job with training us during the implementation process.

We were able to speed up the sales releasing process, we were able to free up resources for two people that had to enter orders from Salesforce into our legacy system and we were able to provide them with a new role using Accounting Seed. Our previous sales releasing process took about 10 minutes to complete it now takes 2 minutes.

We have 100's of projects going at any one time and we are easily able to track all the projects individually as well as accumulate that data into a total when necessary.

Accounting Seed is made to function within Salesforce, a CRM package. Due to that, I think it is as intuitive from an accounting standpoint as a stand-alone accounting package.

Learn all the functionality of Accounting Seed that you can. There are probably things I would like AS to do, that it actually does, but for which I haven't learned how to do yet.

As I said, set up and tracking of individual projects is quite simple with Accounting Seed. We are a non-profit and these projects are the bulk of what we do (our program expenses). The projects are tied to SalesForce campaigns, so when a campaign is completed and a final evaluation is received, we know we can mark the Accounting Seed project as complete too (as long as there is a zero balance). It all works together quite well for us.
