Accessit makes it easy to be an effecient and effective librarian. From the cataloguing system to the Web App for student usage, Accessit is the librarians best friend. I am able to track overdues with a click of a button and send notifications to students automatically to ensure that circulation stays current. Students can look up books of interest, place the books on hold by dragging and dropping the items they want. They can create lists for course-work or books they want to read in the future. Accessit is truly a great software platform. In addition to the ease of use, the Accessit customer support team is wonderful. This is a difficult question to answer as I do not have anything specific that I do not like about Accessit. I would love to see a feature in Accessit that guides students to book reccommendations based on their check out preferences. However, there isn't anything that I can pinpoint as a dislike. I do not like the way it does reports. They are not user friendly and I miss the ease and presentation of reports from desiny/ follett that we used to have. I also hate that there are necessary multi- buttons that must be pushed for nearly everything. Seems like I am being chased by a fox the way I have to run all around to find what I'm looking for. Coming from a public library to a school environment was a bit of a shock; I was used to robust software that allowed for intense filtering and powerful searching, and I inherited a program that left me struggling to do basic things. I then implemented another clunky but powerful LMS instead, which everyone without public librarian experience hated. When I demoed Accessit for the first time, I was ready to make the jump immediately. Here was the power and multi-tasking capability, seamless shifting between tasks, and flexible cataloguing opportunity I needed in this environment. Accessit is so intuitive that someone with no library experience should be comfortable subbing in; it's also robust and capable enough to satisfy the most detailed, intense users.

I love the global modify options, the synchronization with my single-sign-on service, the ability to individually edit copy records and fields within records from multiple screens, the ease of creating multiple, flexible loan policies, and the many customization options for my web catalogs. Accessit is a sleek, modern LMS for 21st century librarians with a powerhouse under the hood.

My absolute favorite feature is the write-off option. As someone loathe to delete records, because the second I do that item that has been missing for fourteen months shows back up and has to be completely recatalogued, I have already made heavy use of Item Purgatory, which is how I'm referring to the write-off feature. Things are deleted from the catalog, for all intents and purposes, but should they make their way back home I can have the whole record back with one button click. It's a truly delightful function.

Customer support has been fantastic -- thorough and speedy in response content and time. Onboarding was well-paced, and I loved the individualized trainings my team members received. I also love the in-depth, varied, and well-crafted tutorials and help articles, as well as the online community of fellow Accessit users, who crowd-source amazing ideas and uses for the software.

I haven't had an offline day, so I can't attest to that feature yet, but I'm hopeful that it will be as intuitive and painless as the rest of our switch has been. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Our implementation process was unique and we did hit a few hiccups; while that was a bummer, Accessit's team was communicative and present throughout the delays and snags, so I have no complaints.

If anything, the worst thing about Accessit is that it's made me greedy -- with all the customization options, whenever I run up against something it *can't* do, I think how great it would be to see that feature added! But then I remember I had zero fun options with my old software, and I'm grateful all over again.

There are a few functions that are buried in odd ways; for example, you can't create and print a label from a record on demand, you have to open a new window or leave the one in which you're currently working and navigate to the label editor, which I can never seem to remember how to find, and create a template for the kind of label you want. The design of the management interface - it's hard to see, too small, has too little contrast - it hurts my eyes. The system's complexity and many menus and components sometimes makes it overwhelming and difficult to navigate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

There are so many steps to get things done. It feels like there should be a way to get things done that is much more efficient than this. If a book is scanned and is already checked out or maked lost, it should tell me, I shouldn't have to jump through hoops to remove fines and such, it's such a pain! There are so many features I love about Accessit Library. We only switched at the beginning of the school year. The transition was seamless. The customer support is extraordinaire! All you have to do is send an email and the response is usually the same day and so helpful. They ALWAYS provide solutions and add visuals that makes it easy to figure out. The visual searches and dashboards make it so visually appealing as well as user friendly. All users being able to access their accounts and review what they have checked out, what they have placed on hold as well as being able to renew one's book/s is so outstanding. I tell students that putting books on hold is like Door Dash or Uber Eats. I refer to the ability to place holds and doing interlibrary loans as Book Dash or Uber Books. From a cataloging point of view being able to work on a MARC record and not lose one's place if a student comes to check out a book. Doing inventory has been easy and again stopping or having to switch to do a different task does not lose anything and having the reports to see what is checked out and missing. It is NOT very user-friendly. Anytime I have to do something, especially if it has been awhile, I have to go look it up and even then sometimes it is difficult to find the answer. Reports are difficult. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Accessit Library makes it very easy for me to create dashboards for my library guests, teachers, individual classrooms, etc. I can cater their digital library catalog to fit their unique needs. I can create an interactive website (essentially) . It was easy to find help when I wanted to implement a new database connection. The learning curb was very steep when I migrated from Follett Destiny. My library catalog did not integrate very smoothly, but that might have been because the catalog was in poor shape when I first took over my library. Many books were coded as "unassigned" collections, which makes actually locating them very difficult. Opening digital books is also a nightmare. The first year was about learning the system and setting my dashboards up. Now, I can easily navigate the system, run reports, send notification to staff and patrons, etc. If I do encounter problems, creating a ticket is easy, and assistance is very quick. The web interface is nice for the patrons, however, the back end that is used by the librarians, leaves much to be desired. Students like the connectivity with MackinVIA, but find it difficult to navigate with the submenus on the left. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Almost everything about Accessit is difficult. Too many clicks and not enough ease of use. Books remain "marked for write off" even if I scan the lost book in. Shouldn't that automatically reset it? There is just nothing easy about the program. Constantly flipping from one area to another to do one simple task. I counted a minimum of SEVEN clicks just to get a lost book reset. How is the even possible? Do the designers even know how a library functions? Who has time for that?????

Even keeping the barcodes organized requires keeping a separate excel sheet. There is no report for unused barcodes. The system wasn't even built for MARC records, which is the standard, so local subject headings are unsearchable. Just a plain piece of junk in my opinion!!!!!
