"Multiple Tabs Help a Lot, but Some Options Still Feel Rigid"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Access PeopleHR?

i like the multiple tab option that was introduced as it was a pain before Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Access PeopleHR?

Some areas are rigid.

I don't like that you can't amend some options e.g. the planner for sickness. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Taryn Schutzler of Access PeopleHR

Thanks for your feedback, Rhiannon. It’s great to hear the introduction of multiple tabs has made a positive difference and improved the day-to-day experience for you.

We appreciate your comments around rigidity within certain areas of the platform, particularly the planner and sickness functionality. That’s really valuable feedback, as flexibility is important for supporting different ways of working and business requirements.

It’s also great to hear the system is helping make reporting and employee information searches quicker and easier when completing tasks outside of the HR system.

"Intuitive and Well-Structured HR Solution"

What do you like best about Access PeopleHR?

I love that Access PeopleHR is easy to use and the navigation around the portal is straightforward. It makes managing my team and requests through the system simple. I appreciate the clear navigation which makes it quick to find exactly what I need. Managing holidays, sickness, and approvals in one place gives me a good overview of my team at all times. Having documentation stored centrally adds real value as everything is consistent, accessible, and well-organized. The initial setup was straightforward and easy to follow, making it simple to get the system up and running. Access PeopleHR supports day-to-day people management effectively with its well-structured features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Access PeopleHR?

Reporting and customization could be improved as more flexibility would be helpful when extracting data. Reporting could be improved by offering more customizable report templates. Having greater control over fields, workflows, and approval steps would make the system better suited to different team structures and processes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless HR Management with Comprehensive Features"
5/5
What do you like best about Access PeopleHR?

I like how everything I need is all in one place on Access PeopleHR. It allows me to track sick days and holiday requests easily. It also helps us know how many days off people have had and identify any patterns, which prevents us from being understaffed. I appreciate that it lets other managers see if someone is on annual leave or sick. I use the employee section, ATS, and Access EVO. I find ATS really good for managing job vacancies as they are all under one tab. It's easy to view resumes and sort them for interviews or rejections. The initial setup was very simple and easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Access PeopleHR?

When putting out a job vacancy, it would be more beneficial to have templates to click through or when you have an interview, there should be a list of agendas to follow. If there was a dropdown list of each job description to go by and modify as needed, it would help. Similarly, having interview agendas to guide you through the process would make it easier to lead the interview confidently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Taryn Schutzler of Access PeopleHR

Thanks for your feedback, Kirsty. It’s great to hear PeopleHR brings HR, ATS and leave tracking together so effectively and supports better staffing visibility. Your suggestions around vacancy templates and interview agendas are really helpful and are informing future ATS enhancements. You can follow upcoming updates via our PeopleHR roadmap hub.

I like the AI chatbot. It's really useful when I'm stuck on something to give me a quick response. I also like the help guides as well. I like how easy it is to pull a report on employee information to help with reporting internally. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Access PeopleHR?

At the moment, there's only a way for me to have male or female. It would be good to have a third option. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Clunky system, non-existent support, immoral company!"
0/5
What do you like best about Access PeopleHR?

It looks colourful, it's bearable from an employees usability and view point Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Access PeopleHR?

For employers it's clunky:

1. It doesn't always show every employee in the employee scheme.

2. In all areas, fields don't mandate that they are completed in the same format, making analysis difficult when extracted.

3. Reports and report creation is basic, not user friendly and time consuming.

4. Add on modules aren't very good and expensive (which is why we don't have them - I've used PeopleHR previously and inherited it with this company).

5. The company is incredibly poor at supporting clients and the service disappears fast once on-boarded. Our requests to resolve issues often only has sales people trying to sell us more and they never attend meetings to fix the issues we have. Complaints are rarely resolved.

6. It's incredibly expensive for such poor usability and outputs.

7. Annual contracts tie us in to a terrible system and create further resentment when we are not supported. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Taryn Schutzler of Access PeopleHR

Thank you for taking the time to share this — I can tell this has been a really frustrating experience, and I’m genuinely sorry you’ve been left feeling this way.

While I’m glad to hear the employee-side experience has been at least usable, it’s clear that from an admin and business perspective the system hasn’t delivered what you need. The challenges you’ve raised around reporting, data consistency, visibility of employees and overall usability are all valid concerns, especially when they’re impacting your ability to rely on the system day to day.

What’s most concerning to read is your experience with support. Feeling unheard, not getting issues resolved and being approached with sales conversations instead of solutions is not the experience we want any customer to have. I completely understand how that would lead to frustration, especially when you’re tied into a contract and relying on the system to support your operations.

I’d really value the opportunity to properly understand what’s been happening here and see if we can help turn this around for you. If you’re open to it, please reach out to me directly at taryn.schutzler@theaccessgroup.com. I’ll make sure this is looked into thoroughly and that you’re connected with the right people to address these issues.

Thank you again for being so honest - feedback like this is incredibly important, even when it’s difficult to hear.

"A Product with a roadmap for success and innovation"
4/5
What do you like best about Access PeopleHR?

The most helpful elements to PeopleHr are the queries and hotsheets, this enables flexibility with analytics and metric monitoring that suits the needs of our organisation. Additionally the introduction of new modules and streamlining of the system/increased efficiencies. We use the system constantly its been a pleasure to work with since 2017. The implementation was tricky due to initially working paper based to digital but this has been something the support team were a great help with. We have had really good customer support from the LMS and Care sections of access too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Access PeopleHR?

There are limits to the system such as integrations to rota software within the access platform. This is something we are hopeful will change down the line. Additionally the return to work element is quite rigid still it would be good to have this more customisable to business need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Paula QuinteroRubio of Access PeopleHR

Thank you for your thoughtful review, and for being a loyal customer since 2017! We'll take your suggestions on board as we work on improving the product integrations and features.
