Everything at your fingertips, the user interface is intuitive. We have written our own integrations using the people HR API to fully automate on and off boarding of staff. The site runs very smoothly and the mobile applications gives you just enough information whilst remaining un cluttered for when your on the move. The AI chat and help feature works really well for getting to know the platform and providing guided information. the system as a whole enables us to maintain a low footprint for HR Resources keep us efficient and smooth running. Absence and holiday management is genuinely one of the strongest parts of the system — it's straightforward for managers to approve, easy for employees to self-serve, and the visibility we get across the workforce is excellent. The employee records and self-service side has also taken a lot of admin pressure off the HR team; people can update their own details, request time off, and access documents without needing us to intervene. The layout shifts more than I'd expect between updates, and the system displays quite differently depending on whether I'm working from my laptop or my external monitor — menus and buttons don't always sit where I expect them to. The system is easy to use from both an employer and employee perspective. It provides a great central place to store company documents, such as handbooks and policies, while also allowing employee documents to be stored within their individual profiles. The reporting functionality is one of the strongest features. Reports can be downloaded into Excel when needed, but it's also useful being able to view data directly within the system through dashboards and analytics. The AI support tool has also been helpful. I have found it particularly useful when setting up or streamlining processes using ripples, as it guides you through the steps clearly and makes the process much easier to follow. What I like least about the system is the performance module, which is currently quite basic and lacks the flexibility to fully customise it around individual company processes. Whilst it covers the core functionality, it can feel restrictive if you have more tailored performance management requirements. However, Access does have an Ideas Portal where users can suggest and vote on enhancements, so it is positive to see customer feedback being taken into account, and I hope this is an area that continues to evolve. Access PeopleHR has helped us move away from relying on multiple spreadsheets and manual processes by bringing our HR data and workflows into one place. It’s made it much easier to manage employee records, documents, absence, and reporting, while also giving managers and employees self-service access to the information they need. As a result, we’ve reduced the amount of administration for the HR team, improved the accuracy of our data, and gained better visibility of key people metrics through reporting and dashboards. This made it hard to track historic changes and when they were made. Annual leave was especially difficult as that was done via paper requests at each site across the group. Leave was tracked by each manager at each site, and the paper copies of leave approved was emailed to payroll to track as well. I find it really useful for checking my holiday balance, submitting leave requests, viewing documents, and keeping track of employment information in a clear self-service dashboard. It is not difficult to use, but a cleaner layout or slightly better search function would make it smoother.
