We needed both frontend and backend testing, and all the scheduled tests needed to run locally on our own servers, due to safety concerns for customer data, and AccelQ could give us that. Been easy to learn, and little technical insight is needed to also cover more detailed and backend testing on my own with predefined commands. Whenever I've run into problems or needed assistance on how to solve a task, I've always gotten quick help from support to find a solution. Used to miss a recording option, but that is also now covered, and I like the easy switch between recording and not recording to be able to better change where in the test I need to continue working. Context-Driven Approach: While ACCELQ’s context-driven approach to test automation is powerful, it requires careful planning. Without a well-structured approach, the element repository can become messy, leading to confusion and inefficiencies in managing test assets. I worked on a Proof of Concept (POC) for use cases specific to the Salesforce platform. ACCELQ proved to have great potential in automating test cases for a dynamic platform like Salesforce. To my surprise, I was able to automate the test cases faster than expected. When the test scripts were revisited, they were found to be stable, requiring only minimal maintenance, which was effortless to handle. I efficiently utilized ACCELQ's locator-free identification feature, which added to the ease of automation. Another standout feature was the tool’s intuitive nature—there was no significant learning curve. As I started using the tool, its user-friendly design made it easy to get familiar with its features. For execution, I used a local agent. The execution process was not only fast but also unattended, requiring no separate effort or enablement. Best thing about ACCELLQ is its codelss approach to generting test cases/scripts, it has helped me a lot in achiveing quicker design/creation of test cases for out product, it is easy to use and integrate with JIRA which again helped as I was working with JIRA at the point of use. Only problem I can see is it's itegration with lot of other new tools which are there in modern product designs and also when someone wants to write custom test cases for specific application test case then it may not be advisable to use it. It is resolving the problem of deeply learning Langauge which are require in coding test cases which is immense feature considering it removes a whole lot in terms of learning for new testers, now one can learn to use tool and use it's feature of codeless approach to writing test cases. it will remove cost/time of learning indepth coding knowledge and also will improve througput of SDLC of a product.
