"Amazing Tool and Amazing Company"

What do you like best about Accelo?

The tool is so versatile and covers so much of what we needed. We were able to ease ourselves into the tool and adopt features as we needed them. Accelo also integrates with a lot of other external tools like Quickbooks, Hubspot, and Office 365. I have even used the Power BI integration to build my own custom reports. The support for the product has also been top-notch from the implementation team to support the product.

What do you dislike about Accelo?

Accelo does take time and effort to learn. However, any tool that is this robust and has this much functionality will take time and effort to learn. Some of the functionality is not super intuitive, but once you learn more about the tool, you understand why everything works the way it does. I wish that the Power BI integration allowed you to use the client version of Power BI versus just the web application. You cannot do a lot of things in the web application version of Power BI, like linking data tables together.

Recommendations to others considering Accelo:

My company, Vest Technical Solutions, is a technical solutions company that offers services for applications. We work with numerous applications doing implementations, migrations, administration, training, and documentation for many companies. Being super familiar with applications and my past in software development, I feel like I am very qualified to review applications. I did a ton of research and tried multiple other applications. From all-in-one options and separate apps that specialize in the specific area, they were built for. Accelo is one of the best applications I have seen that does a remarkable job in covering all the functionality it promises to deliver. Do be prepared to put in effort and time to make the tool work properly. As I tell all of my clients, the more effort you put into implementation and learning the system the more you are going to get out of it.

What problems is Accelo solving and how is that benefiting you?

We are using Accelo all the way from a CRM to sales to project management and timecards, to communicate with clients, invoicing, and reporting. I would say we are using Accelo to solve 80% of the problems we had before implementation. If we had not implemented Accelo when we did, the switch would have been challenging and possibly impossible. Being able to condense numerous tools into one has been a lifesaver.

"Getting things done made easy"

What do you like best about Accelo?

Accelo gives us the ability to bring intelligence and flexiblity to our workflows and meet the needs for our comapny or any company. The customisation and automation is what brings this product to life. You can automate workflows, emails, triggers for reminders on just about anything. The capacity inside of each module to fit your process, your language and your requirements really brings this product to the top of our list for projects, tickets and retainer. The integration to G Suite and Xero are like magic. Easy, fast and flexible.

What do you dislike about Accelo?

If there was a dislike, it would just be the time to plan and think through how to customise and work through your business processes and develop the automation without creating too much noise in the environment. Having said that, the time required, helps streamline your business workflows.

Recommendations to others considering Accelo:

If you are looking for a CRM that manages Projects, Retainers, and Ticketing, this would be by far the best system I've used. The time to setup is worth the automation and integrational benefits. Find a great partner to help with the implementation.

What problems is Accelo solving and how is that benefiting you?

We have been able to improve responsiveness from staff and customers through the use of the automation and the client portal.

The tranpareancy and visibilty between Accelo and G Suite lifts the capacity to see what has been happening with our staff and customer interations.

"A Mostly Awesome Solution"

What do you like best about Accelo?

Automations, Implementation team, UX, UI

What do you dislike about Accelo?

Quote templates, no QB Desktop integration

Recommendations to others considering Accelo:

The automation tools are fantastic, but there are some limitations in the integrations and templates. Most of these limitations can probably be overcome through using APIs, but that is beyond the skill of our team. The cost is also a bit higher than some competitors, but we thought it was worth the cost as it meant that some processes in the project workflow could be automated and would require fewer hours to manage the workflow.

What problems is Accelo solving and how is that benefiting you?

Managing project workflows without a project flow manager has been fantastic. It's helped us boost efficiency without needing to add any kind of supervisor just to babysit the projects.

"Complex Practice Management, but Incredibly Valuable and Unparalleled in the Market"

What do you like best about Accelo?

Task and email management are built into the ecosystem, with seamless time logging and billing. I haven't seen this offered anywhere else. Rather than just integrate with your email, you can work from within the program all the while recording your time and billing rate for each task automatically.

What do you dislike about Accelo?

It can be very daunting when first starting out due to the sheer amount of capabilities and options available. Everything is connected so a simple mistake early on in your workflow such as how you set up your tasks can show up eventually when billing. I recommend working with their professional services team to get your workflow set up properly and avoid the headache of the trial and error approach. I worked with Siobhan and she was very adaptable to my learning style and schedule, which is very rare in the consulting space! I highly recommend this option rather than stumbling through it as I first did.

Recommendations to others considering Accelo:

If you aren't already working with a proper workflow, I recommend setting these up first for your company so you can do an organized implementation. I recommend splurging for the customized setup and training, it's really worth it. I know they're working now on their training and ease of onboarding so this should only improve.

What problems is Accelo solving and how is that benefiting you?

My biggest problem has been that after my workday, even if I've completed a full day's work, I'm never able to relax. Due to the number of clients I work with, each with their issues and details to keep on top of, my evenings and weekends consisted of reviewing my work in my head to make sure that I didn't miss anything. I'm very organized but still had too much trouble trying to see all my current work right in front of me to where I can confidently shut off for the day. Learning to use Accelo properly means that I can now be sure that I record an issue correctly as it happens. Almost as important, I can now recall these notes very quickly, even if I'm jumping from one client meeting to another, or just picking up a call and being able to catch up on the situation. I've barely scratched the surface as I'm only using a few tools so far and I'm working on perfecting them. I used to dread when clients called with a new issue as this is another thing that I have to keep on top of. I always felt like I needed to finish all of my work to be able to stop. Now I can just schedule new tasks immediately and let the client know then when I'll be able to complete this for them. So I don't have to always play catch up or do the work from the client who's shouting the loudest.

"Thorough Tool and Excellent Onboarding!"

What do you like best about Accelo?

Accelo provides our team with all the bells and whistles we need. From retainer management, project management to customer relationship management, we have better visibility to where our time is allocated throughout our organization.

What do you dislike about Accelo?

Accelo is thorough in its features, providing many ways to accomplish a particular goal. Luckily for us, our implementation manager walked us through these various approaches and best practices to keep us working with the same methodology.

Recommendations to others considering Accelo:

Don't fret about the onboarding — Accelo's implementation process is best in class!

What problems is Accelo solving and how is that benefiting you?

We can better understand where our time is allocated and can easily track hours against retainer periods. It also provides a level of resource visibility that we haven't been able to access historically.

"Accelo cloud based CRM an excellent fit for professional services companies"

What do you like best about Accelo?

A great experience during implementation. First of all during the sales cycle the Sales person (Anthony Garrett) took the time to understand our business and what we were trying to achieve. The implementation manager (Pat Doyle) was very thorough, patient and methodical. After the process was complete the Director of Implementation checked in with us to confirm everything was to our satisfaction. Overall, we have found the software intuitive and very flexible and quite easy to configure to our processes.

What do you dislike about Accelo?

Nothing so far. Accelo is one of the best kept secrets in the CRM space.

Recommendations to others considering Accelo:

Sign up for the 14 day trial. Best way to see if the solution is a good fit for your organization.

What problems is Accelo solving and how is that benefiting you?

We are solving the problem of keeping track of all communications with client prospects by sales and marketing teams. Additionally, we have full integration with our accounting software (Xero) for invoicing.

"The Sky Is the Limit"

What do you like best about Accelo?

Accelo is really exciting, all-in-one platform. There are plenty of "tools" out there, but they always seem to fall short. Accelo is a true system and it has already helped our team immensely. I would absolutely suggest that you check it out.

What do you dislike about Accelo?

Honestly, the only frustration I have with the platform is the fact that my team and I haven't allocated enough time internally (yet) to complete the implementation. With that said, we will slowly but surely work to wake up this real beast of a system over the next few weeks!

What problems is Accelo solving and how is that benefiting you?

The first thing that comes to mind is the Client Portal. As part of our management services, we actively serve 100+ properties and systems. The Accelo Client Portal allows us to receive, prioritize, and track customer tickets and requests all in one place. This feature is mission-critical for us to continue to scale our operation.

"Game changer for our Professional Service business"

What do you like best about Accelo?

Accelo provides a CRM, sales funnel, statements of work (quoting), active work (projects and ongoing), time tracking and invoicing -- all in one fully integrated platform. The tool is quite user-friendly if set up properly for your business.

What do you dislike about Accelo?

The integration with QuickBooks Online needs some additional features.

Recommendations to others considering Accelo:

Accelo is very robust and has a lot of features. We recommend putting a heavy focus on implementation. Also, parallel testing with any other system (e.g. parallel invoicing) was very helpful for us - it helped us identify configuration mistakes we had made. Also, we chose to implement some features over time, we prioritized which features to use right away versus later.

What problems is Accelo solving and how is that benefiting you?

We are able to see our workload by staff member. We are also able to ensure that all committed work is scheduled and assigned to team members. All activities (e.g. emails) related to that work are stored in a common platform. We also are better at tracking our time to associated work -- so we are able to bill our clients for accurately and effectively.

"Good system with some excellent time saving and organisational features"

What do you like best about Accelo?

-Organisation

-Increase in productivity

-Planning

What do you dislike about Accelo?

-Not really the right system for engineering departments within a company as some limitations are avoiding us from sharing the system with Sales Team.

-Some more flexibility needed in date moving.

Recommendations to others considering Accelo:

This is an excellent system. You would need some training and setup for your specific company. The implementation and customer support was very good. Our company got a collaborative approach. Accelo is an excellent system but there should be more flexibility in how reporting data is used and extracted from the system. Something such as CSV files of the hours spent on projects was not provided by Accelo. A different company had to setup an API which cost an additional $400 a month just for simple data to be extracted from the system.

What problems is Accelo solving and how is that benefiting you?

-Increase in productivity

-Planning

-Excellent in organising large teams

"One-stop shop for all your project management and communications needed. SUPERB support."

What do you like best about Accelo?

Accelo can take a project from initial contact to sale to project to invoicing. It functions as a CRM, project management tool and communications platform. You can use the tool as simply (assign tasks and due dates) or as robust (dependencies, triggers, templates, automation) as you like. It is a one stop shop for everything you need to move work, communicate among the team and with clients and assess staff and company performance.

While I really like the software, what I like best about Accelo is their support team from our customer service manager to the front-line support to the engineers we've worked with. I have felt heard, that my suggestions, requests or issue reports are not going into the "we'll put that into the suggestion box" black hole. Suggestions I've given or issue reports I've made are taken seriously and addressed, often on screenshares. I have never seen a software company so attentive to its users.

What do you dislike about Accelo?

One of Accelo's strongest features - its robustness - is also something that takes some getting used to if you want to use it to its full potential. It can do A LOT for you, but time spent learning and figuring out consequences of changes to settings is required. I would not put this down as a "dislike", but there is a learning curve - and that learning curve is worth it. Our particular implementation involved analyzing and reconfiguring our internal processes as we used very simple tools for time tracking and task assignment. Accelo's robustness actually facilitated those changes, so it's hard to say that is a true dislike, more like something one should know.

What problems is Accelo solving and how is that benefiting you?

Having a full client CRM. Being able to allot time to tasks and have it tracked properly to the task, milestone and project. Internal team communication and visibility of that communication with the Stream feature. More detailed management of work, clearer view of what's done and what's to come on a project. Clearer analysis of how time is spent and what is profitable. Improved sales process. Clarity on task schedules.
