Unlike some other platforms, forecast provides data and reports that influence the whole business from finance to the delivery teams. The project management team have seen huge reductions in admin since moving to Forecast. The team at Forecast are always working on improvements and new features. **What do you dislike about Forecast?** A few 'quick fixes' on the UX could be implemented that would make the user journey much easier. It's the best tool we've ever used for running the agency. Sometimes the dependencies between the features and reporting can be a little difficult to get your head around. Becky & Andrea have been amazing answering my many questions on how to best use the platform to fit our needs. They are always very prompt & highly knowledgeable. Forecast has tons of features & they continue to roll out updates to better assist their clients. **What do you dislike about Forecast?** They rolled out quiet a few updates without giving any heads up or explanation of the new features last week. I would've liked to receive a guide on new features and any impacts they might have. **What problems is Forecast solving and how is that benefiting you?** We've just implemented a new resource management process that would be impossible without Forecast. We're still waiting on a few things: 1. When resource planning, task allocation only allows even time distributions across the selected dates. (ie. If you assign an 8 hour task for Mon-Tues, it evenly distributes it instead of being able to allocate 5hr Mon, 3hr Tues.) You can distribute time this way in project allocation but this method doesn't communicate to projects or time registrations in this mode. I would also love for them to add communication between the people schedule & timesheets but don't expect this for a while. 2. It also gives me the option to add notes to tasks so that I can remember how time was spent if later asked. **What do you dislike about Forecast?** I don't like that I do not have access to see the rest of my teams calendar, I do not need access to amend the calendar, I would just like to be able to view it. If there was a chrome extension or mobile app where you could start and stop time tracking, and immediately allocate it to a project, this would be useful. It covers a fast array of functionality related to project management, both resource wise, scope wise and financial wise. Overall it povides a solid basis to run your projects and related business on. **What do you dislike about Forecast?** The current direction Forecast is moving, means it is outpricing itself to competitors sadly. At the start they where very price competitive, but now more general useful features dissappear behind the Enterprise level (that were first available to all) . Furthermore, they got too focused on growth and developing new (paid) features, losing sight of their customers and core problems that need solving. We've been with Forecast for ~3 years and cycled through 4-5 "customer success managers" that are your focal point for feedback. This became a huge issue, because everytime you have to go over everything again, all open issues/requests. It takes time for a customer success manager to understand your operation and the nature of certain feedback. Core issues we reported, were not solved, even after years. The 4-5 months we've been dealing with a buggy/unreliable workload planner which was acknowledged as a bug but not fixed... while it's one of the most important features of a PM system. It's very unfortunate, because the tool itself had a fresh look and a lot of potential. But priorities seems to be all wrong at the moment, losing touch with their customer base and blinded by fast growth. All in all, this whole situation led us to move away from Forecast to Teamwork.com last June. **Recommendations to others considering Forecast:** Forecast is a good tool to start with when you are smaller in size and then grow-up together. It will not have the full majority of enterprise oriented software yet, but it's being actively developed. A good change for anyone to hop aboard and make it useful for the companyies of the future together. See it as a chance to have a fresh take on how such a tool should support your modern business. **What problems is Forecast solving and how is that benefiting you?** At this moment none anymore. As stated above, we've moved away from Forecast, due to its issues and unreliability in the data it displayed because of some core bugs.
