Ease of use. Everything you need is in one platform so you don't have to figure out how to connect all these others tools. We used to use Cvent which was fine but it felt like everything was disconnected. In Accelevents, everything from the mobile app to the badge printing works well together and feels like one experience. It kind of reminds me of using HubSpot. The support is also top notch. They're available whenever you have a question. Even at 1am the night before the event. We host 8-10 events per year. Our largest event is between 3,500-4,000 attendees. We used the Kiosk functionality and badge printing for check-in. We had 20 kiosks configured since everyone shows up within about a 90 minute window. Everything went perfect. No lines. Accelevents allows us to set all of our branding which keeps our design team happy. When we used Cvent, we would constantly have to ask Cvent support to implement changes that we could not do ourselves. With Accelevents, we can do everything on our own. When we started working with Accelevents the mobile app left something to be desired but they launched a new version of the app about a month ago and it is MUCH better. We hosted our first-ever virtual conference on Accelevents (March 2023). As a founder and moderator of the event, my biggest goal was to 'not fail'. Everything else was secondary. I've seen the horror stories of speakers encountering issues joining sessions or users being locked out of a platform. The entire time we planned our event, the Accelevents team supported us and assured us that the event would go perfectly. They answered our questions, talked through pain points, and even walked us through features we didn't realize existed. They entirely removed the uneasiness we had planning our first-ever virtual event. The alternative to Accelevents we considered was to use a platform that could stream content to LinkedIn and YouTube live. For our event, we wanted an experience where attendees could block out distractions and learn about data for 4 hours straight. Accelevents provided the exact experience we were looking for. Here are some of the favorite features highlighted by our team and by attendees (in the post-conference survey we sent out): - Hands-on support - Speaker profiles + images - Main stage sessions that are easy for users to transition from talk to talk - The chat (I didn't expect this to be used, but there was a VERY active conversation taking place the entire time) - Surveys and emails (I didn't realize you can't send emails to 800 people from your inbox... Accelevents has native capabilities to help) - An easy-to-use API to power dashboards while the event occurs and after. Accelevents is a very impressive solution, and I would highly recommend it. There were two paths: 1) Stream content live (so people could join sessions live) via LinkedIn or YouTube as they happen 2) Create a conference-like experience where people need to sign up beforehand, log in, and participate We chose the second path, and the feedback from participants and speakers was great. That being said, it does mean you need to do more marketing for the event upfront, and you might see less engagement on the day of the event vs. streaming live on social. The ways we are making up for this is by: - Taking the session recordings directly from Accelevents (super easy to download) and uploading them to YouTube - Creating shorter clips (1-2 minutes) that we share on LinkedIn that we can use to push people to our YouTube channel As a CEO or marketing team, you need to know which path you're taking. One thing that stood out was the ability to customize almost everything, down to HEX colors, imagery, etc. So many other platforms seem to lock things down and give significantly less creative control. I am struggling to understand why the default event times displayed on our "landing page" shows EST when the events show CST. It may be because I am in EST when creating them, but I cannot figure it out. It would also be helpful if I could customize the "footer" link colors. We do not host many events, and what events we host are free to our customers. We could not find a platform that helped us set up registrations and send confirmation and reminder emails while giving us any ability to control the creative as much. When you learn about the platform, you realize that there are many ways to accomplish your goals, which gives the user multiple opportunities to meet the needs of your specific event. I am not explicitly tied to the standard workflow, and this is an invaluable feature for anyone with picky stakeholders. Additionally, the support we receive goes above and beyond many other vendors I work with regularly. They help me find ways to accomplish what we need and are very quick to offer assistance. It's challenging to identify the dislikes for this platform because whenever I have a concern or displeasure, they are quick to get on a call with me. They offer workarounds, or they are quick to add them to their product roadmap. Some platforms had overlapping functionality or limited capabilities that fit our requirements.
