I have gained extensive experience working with HDP, CDP, and ODP. In my rigorous evaluation, I have found that ODP, despite being a recent entrant into the market, possesses the capability to effectively compete with CDP, primarily due to its exceptional stability. The installation and upgrade processes are remarkably straightforward, enhancing the overall user-friendliness of the platform. The seamless integration of the monitoring tool Pulse with ODP provides comprehensive statistics of components and alerts, which I find to be remarkably impressive. Furthermore, the dedicated expertise and prompt support from the ODP team are notable strengths that I highly value. It is worth highlighting that we recently completed an upgrade of our operating system from RHEL 7 to RHEL 8 with minimal downtime and encountered no issues, thus demonstrating the robustness of ODP. Onboarding our data into Acceldata was very quick and simple. WIthin 24 hours all production data was loaded and trends were easily established. We were able to take immediate actions on inidcators and flags that we were unaware of and identify global trends that fueled strategy enhancements for our compute models. Acceldata has openned quite a few doors for us at Nestle. We have started with the Data Reliability features of the product and moved into the Cloud/Cost Optimization aspects. The Data Reliability aspects have been able to satisfy all of our traditional Data Quality requirements so far, with the additional benefit of measuring as data moves between multiple environments. We are starting to already see gains from the optimization engine in the short time that we have been using it. Acceldata does seem to have a Data Engineer in mind when they were designing their UI and not a non-technical Data Steward type of person. With that, you do have to train the user a bit more (especially if they are not technically focused) but it has not been anything we haven't been able to overcome.
