After an intensive round of comparisons with different vendors - the price V feature set we went with Accelario.

Having been involved working for some of the largest companies in US over 20 years, and the evolution and use of many products to facilitate business transformation and value driven solutions we are very happy with out investment.

We are able to on demand using a simple set of REST API calls - thin provision a copy of our production database over NFS in less than 1 hour for use by anyone.

We use this for

1) Fixing production performance problems and testing production fixes with almost Realtime data to have confidence of production impact

2) Run all production code fixes after QA validation via GIT pipeline into a cloned environment to ensure safe/non impactful release to business

3) Spin up as many cloned environments to developers as we need on demand to do POC or any troubleshooting work

The things we are looking to move forward with are

1) Utilizing the Data Masking tool to automatically scrub ingested data from the GI and provision PII compliant data to our environments rather than now a very manual and tedious set of scripts across 100s of tables

2) Providing scans and reporting to our security team with console direct access so they can pull security scan reports on all of our environments for both security and compliance reasons, PII, PCI,SOX,GDPR etc. The inbuilt functionality is great.

3) Automate FULL production rollout of tested QA code into production by separate pipelines - so we can do silent releases of code to the database without impact - and not requiring support of engineers.

Finally - the support and partnership with Accelario has been top tier. The times we have had bugs/issues have been turned around quickly and communicated well - and we are a small customer relative.
