Our application required up to 5 verifications to be done in a short frame of time - we could only send 3 verification requests per second without the platform returning an error - so we had to sleep our application (and delay the UI) for a second after 3 verification attempts in a window of time. This to add to the unexpected doubling in price that was done for some reason - we didn't find out about it until they threatened to disable our API key, as we have spending limits set on our card. Subsequently, we had to find a new platform to replace this one within a moments notice. **What problems is Abstract API solving and how is that benefiting you?** Abstract API offers a number of API's for various functionality. We had been using the email verification platform - our application has contact forms for over 50 sites that the user leaves an email address that needed to be checked, along with emails that we were routing their requests to be processed needing checking as well. ### 2. I like how easy it is to integrate it and I also love the "Live Test" option straight from the dashboard. I could immediately see the results I'd get before even subscribing. The actual integration in our product was also as simple as copy-pasting the provided code example, straight from the Dashboard. Also, initially I had mistakenly subscribed to a different API product which I didn't need. Once I contacted support I got almost immediate reply and was issued a refund immediately. **What do you dislike about Abstract API?** It can possibly have a somewhat better UX when it comes to allowing users to subscribe to a specific API product. Since they have a lot of different APIs with different names (which is amazing by itself), it may sometimes become confusing for someone which product are they looking at on the screen. This is how I mistakenly subscribed to a different product, but like I mentioned, I got an almost immediate refund. **What problems is Abstract API solving and how is that benefiting you?** We are using the IP Geolocation API which is fundamental for us in order to decide which "version" of the app to serve, based on the user continent. We also provide translated web pages based on the location. ### 4. It would be interesting to have more flexible rates on demand for each user. **What problems is Abstract API solving and how is that benefiting you?** So far we have not had any problems with the tool. ### 5. I was up and running in almost no time! Because I can license exactly what services I need, Abstract API is also very cost effective for my startup. As our needs evolve, I will likely pick up more of the services they offer. Glad I made this choice after a bit of research. **What do you dislike about Abstract API?** I have not encountered any downsides so far. We decided to introduce IP location awareness so that we have the ability to observe access patterns and implement protections as needed. ### 6. Want to automatically set your customer's location? There's an API fo that. Want to automatically load public holidays in your customers' locations? There's an API for that. Simple sandbox to use on the website and the API is straightforward to implement into a web application. **What do you dislike about Abstract API?** There is nothing I dislike about Abstract API. **What problems is Abstract API solving and how is that benefiting you?** My application relies heavility on user location and rather than asking users to set this themselves, I use Abstract API to suggest a location based on IP address. ### 12. Im using it daily on automation through make.com and zapier.com **What do you dislike about Abstract API?** The bulk upload CSV tool needs improvement to acccomodate more culomns other than just a phone number, and reordering the cells in the result CSV, is annoying. **What problems is Abstract API solving and how is that benefiting you?** Verifiying the submitted phone numbers in my CRM to have a clean outgoing communication. ### 15. They have integration with several platforms and support many pogramming languages. **What do you dislike about Abstract API?** Not a downside but it's sort of a limitation in acquisition. AbstractAPI subscriptions do not support payment by PayPal. Banks rates are abit higher so the lack of payment flexibility is sort of a limitation in comparison to the existing alternatives. **What problems is Abstract API solving and how is that benefiting you?** Easy to query IP Geolocation Information, Email Validation, etc ### 16.
