"User-Friendly with Diverse Reporting Features"
4/5
What do you like best about Absorb LMS?

I think the reporting features of Absorb LMS are great. Their staff has been wonderful, and the software has a lot of diverse functionality, which is useful since we have really different needs depending on the different people in our team. It's working for all of us, which is hard to achieve. Once you start to learn and understand it, I think it's really user-friendly and easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Absorb LMS?

I found the contract and billing to be really confusing, and it took a while to figure out. It seemed like it was written in a weird way. There are some things I wish we could set up differently, like having different rules or configurations. Also, the system has some interesting quirks, like with our Rise courses—it's a bummer that we can only see the percentage correct and not the number of attempts on quizzes. The visual presentation is also not as snazzy as I'd like. The landing page could use more graphics and increased functionality to make it look nicer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Absorb LMS: Strong Out-of-the-Box Core LMS with Good ROI"
4/5
What do you like best about Absorb LMS?

Absorb LMS is a strong platform to use "out of the box" in terms of their Core LMS. We have explored other products in the past from Absorb and, while we have not used any of them in our current implementation, I can see how they would be valuable for other companies or businesses. Absorb has gotten much better at clearly and consistently communicating about updates, changes, patches, and other notes which is a plus. The platform itself may have some hiccups here and there in terms of performance and reliability, but overall, it is consistently available for our customers. While the UX/UI feels a bit dated in the administrator experience, more recent developments are aimed at addressing these issues. There is an active community of administrators who use the Ideas portal to share best practices and tips. I would say that this platform is a good, bordering on great, ROI in terms of pricing and what you get with the Core LMS experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Absorb LMS?

As long-time customers of Absorb LMS, we have been here for the ups and downs of this platform for about 15 years now. During that time, we have worked to implement several of the integrations that were created by Absorb and have had varying levels of success. While this was a challenge, it also gave us the opportunity to build up our own capacity and knowledge on creating custom-build integrations that leverage the API. Support has been overall consistently helpful over the years, with the usual "rocky" instances in more one-off scenarios where our issues did not get addressed to the degree that was warranted. This has largely been corrected in the last 2 years and I can report no continuing issues in this regard. I am seeing more A.I. pop up in the platform, which I suppose is helpful to some extent, although, I have had very little success in getting these tools to understand what I am looking to do/accomplish. "Intuitive Workflows and Excel-Style Reporting That Boost Admin/Learner Productivity"
5/5
What do you like best about Absorb LMS?

Both the admin-side and learner-side workflows are highly intuitive and straightforward, which makes it easy to navigate the platform and manage tasks efficiently. I especially appreciate the customizable, Excel-style reporting interface, since it supports flexible data views and seamless exporting to Excel or CSV formats. This noticeably strengthens my reporting and analysis capabilities.

The platform is also very well organized when it comes to setting up courses, users, and other features. Its categorical structure makes configuration simpler, and the quick-access tabs at the top are a much more efficient alternative to clicking through multiple layers of course settings. Overall, the design meaningfully improves usability and boosts administrative productivity. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Absorb LMS?

While the platform offers a wide variety of reporting formats, there is still room to strengthen the reporting capabilities. For instance, department-level reports could be more robust by providing clearer, more detailed insights for all employees in a department; such as how many courses have been completed, are currently in progress, or have not been started.

The mailing system is highly effective overall; however, there are limitations when it comes to customizing certain automated emails, which can reduce flexibility in communication.

In addition, the observation checklist feature has some gaps. For example, learners do not receive email notifications when reviewers provide feedback, which feels like a fundamental function that is currently missing from the LMS.

Overall, when weighing the strengths against the limitations, the advantages clearly outweigh the drawbacks. The issues noted are relatively minor and do not meaningfully affect the platform’s overall effectiveness. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Streamlined Learning with Stellar Support"
5/5
What do you like best about Absorb LMS?

I really like how easy Absorb LMS is to use and that it's very customizable depending on the organization. I like that it has single sign-on, and it automatically connects to our HRIS system. I have been able to work really closely with a customer service agent who has been very helpful in making it work well for the things that we need. The initial setup was easy from an integration standpoint, and we had a lot of support from the Absorb side to ensure that everything went smoothly as we transitioned. What do you dislike about Absorb LMS?

Some of the add-ons cost a little additional money, but honestly, the base product is good enough for us and is working really well for what we need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Absorb is easy to use but needs more modern features and looks"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Absorb LMS?

Very easy to navigate and easy to use and learn! I also like that its easy for learners from their homepage Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Absorb LMS?

Some features are slow to come by even when there's a demand, and also some of the features can be better such as testing and question banks. I wish there were more easy to use reporting for managers and admins Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Very Easy to Use for Both Admins and Learners"
5/5
What do you like best about Absorb LMS?

The platform is very easy for both admins and learners to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Absorb LMS?

One area I'm looking forward to seeing develop is the upcoming AI functionality. It'd be great to have AI capabilities that allow learners to ask questions and be directed to the most relevant training automatically; or even use it to customize the admin dashboard widgets and reporting. "Modern, Easy-to-Manage LMS with Strong Branding and Learning Paths"
5/5
What do you like best about Absorb LMS?

Learners can quickly find courses and track their progress, and admins don’t need deep technical skills to manage the content. The interface feels modern, especially compared with many legacy LMS platforms. It’s also easy to fully brand the platform and build structured learning paths for onboarding or ongoing development. I like that you can tailor the learner experience by role, location, or group, which helps keep training relevant. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Absorb LMS?

There’s limited flexibility when it comes to advanced or custom reporting. It’s difficult to pull cross-course information or more complex data sets, and the reporting experience can feel inconsistent or end up requiring a lot of manual work. Some workflows, such as enrollments or scheduling, also feel incomplete. Overall, there are missing features compared with more enterprise-focused LMS platforms, and even some basic tasks still require workarounds. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"New to Absorb LMS"
4/5
What do you like best about Absorb LMS?

As a new intern at JEO, I have not had much experience using any LMS systems. When I realized that I was going to start learning Absorb and all of its workings, I was a little worried, but as I have gotten to use the training that our CSM, Maggie Stillman, has recommended to me, I have loved how easy the system is and how many features we can use.

Julie McCandlish and Maggie Stillman are amazing. They both help us with whatever we need and are happy to do so. As someone who is new to the company, they were both so friendly and so happy to answer any questions that I had. I feel confident and excited to continue to learn the Absorb LMS, knowing I have a great support team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Absorb LMS?

What we have encountered to be the least helpful about Absorb LMS is some of the reporting features, which we have found a little confusing. Our CSM has been able to help us fix those problems, but we did find the reporting to be confusing at some points. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
