The automation of mandatory training for new hires is a big plus. The reporting is easy, and the site is intuitive. It's very easy to use, and the support we receive from both our client success manager and the support team is commendable. **What do you dislike about Absorb LMS?** When we update departments in our HRIS, it does not automatically update the filters in the courses, so it will have to be a manual process. When the HRIS is updated, it should automatically update any of the fields that are dependent on the efficiency and effectiveness of the LMS. **What problems is Absorb LMS solving and how is that benefiting you?** Absorb LMS automates mandatory training for new hires and has intuitive reporting. We work directly with Dave Mullan, who has continuously provided timely and quality help for myself as the lead and our organization. Dave has helped us troubleshoot issues, ensure efficiency, and has kept us up to date and has demonstrated and suggested functions as Absorb rolls out new features. As we look to expand our offerings further, Dave has helped strategize for the best approach, which has helped our workflow and the end-user experience. Dave has always been patient and helpful in getting and keeping us on the right track. **What do you dislike about Absorb LMS?** As we continue to expand education there have been a few instances where functions were limited or not available. In these instances, Dave has been responsive about capabilities and options, and has helped troubleshoot and shared feedback with his team to work on solutions. As an example, I very much appreciate the ability to use AI voices as part of our trainings, but there are instances where medical language is mispronounced. There have also been some instances where the functionality of quiz questions have not worked or resulted in errors. They also implement AI in an intuitive and meaningful way, avoiding unnecessary integration and supporting this with beta tests. Absorb Academy is a resource for system admins, enabling them to understand and creatively use the platform for different purposes. I also love the access and support we have to our wonderful CSM Tamar Lupo. She has been instrumental in getting us the answers to many of our questions (though with Absorb's great knowledge-base articles, they do great with that too!). She has been really helpful with our questions around edge-cases and how to really customize the platform to meet our needs, and informing us of new feature rollouts and how we can tailor them into our platform. Whenever she may not have an answer to our questions, she makes sure to loop us in directly with the person who does, or does her additional research and comes back with us without any reminders. She's a rockstar! **What do you dislike about Absorb LMS?** I think the growing pain of it is sometimes it's not consistent in how reporting features in the back end work. This is mostly just on the admin side. It doesn't impact the learner experience at all. We're switching things were a bit more consistent and the analyze add-on we have for extra dashboards was a bit more built out. **What problems is Absorb LMS solving and how is that benefiting you?** Absorb LMS solves access issues to training, eliminates scrambling for links, resolves expired links, enables tracking of training completion, and cultivates a learning culture by providing resources for employees. ### 5. There are ways to do almost anything you would need to do to provide courses and curriculum to groups of people. The customization is really helpful and robust, with each toggle and option clearly describing the outcome. The support has continually improved since implementation - now it is within a few hours! **What do you dislike about Absorb LMS?** There aren't any big things I dislike about Absorb. Little things we noticed shortly after implementation have been addressed with updates and new feature releases. **What problems is Absorb LMS solving and how is that benefiting you?** Being able to have a single place for all our learners to access training content, no matter the type, with a single login. We have internal learners that need to track completion for certification requirements, and we are expanding to host end customer training through eCommerce and enrollment keys. We've been able to have comprehensive data on all our learners, courses, and other metrics. In my opinion its not comparable to any other LMS on the market. **What do you dislike about Absorb LMS?** There are still some things in absorb which could eed some work or rethinking. But even here, i cant really complain since the feedback / request or update release process is extremely transparent. Since we implemented Absorb, it became really easy for us to just upload courses and provide them to our learners. Admins can very easily and comfortably program the courses, set up the rules, and manage the data related to the courses and activities. From the learners' feedback, we've seen that they found the platform to be pretty straightforward, clean, and neat. They know exactly where to go and what to find, which makes it user-friendly. Additionally, the inclusion of quizzes and other gamification functionalities, along with the offering of credits, makes the platform interesting for customers, encouraging them to return for more courses. The straightforward setup process, except for some specific compliance and privacy policies, also stood out for me. **What do you dislike about Absorb LMS?** One thing that has been challenging is the integration with Veeva PromoMats. We store all our technical information in a Veeva Vault, and each course content has to be approved there before being transferred to Absorb. Unfortunately, the integration hasn't worked so far, creating a lot of manual effort for admins to download approved material from one platform and upload it to the other. Also, the number of available custom fields, which is 25, 35, or 45, isn't sufficient for us moving forward. Due dates associated with courses versus enrollments cause issues. The reporting included with the system is subpar. We pay extra for a BI package, which is excellent though. Absorb is not only a fantastic repository for learning resources, the built in tools make creating new resources and experiences for our teammates so much easier and more streamlined. We use the Absorb Create authoring tool and have had great luck in course creation using many methods (Ai, templates, etc.). We also absolutely loved both our sales representative, Mike Kuphos, and our Implementation manager, Joe Zizian. Joe has been a great help even since we went live with our LMS and were moved into the maintenance stage! We implemented the LMS in 4 weeks due to his guidance and willingness to move along at a quicker pace. **What do you dislike about Absorb LMS?** There aren't any downsides I can think of! It can be tricky to find certain things at times, but I find the search feature to be very helpful within the Admin view. **What problems is Absorb LMS solving and how is that benefiting you?** The previous LMS platforms we used were clunky, difficult to navigate, and we had to purchase content to put in the LMS (no authoring tool). Absorb, while pricier than our previous options, contains so much added value. We love Absorb Create and have use it to author over 75 courses since our implementation 6 months ago! It has cut down the time to create learning resources significantly, while still maintaining a high quality. We needed to be able to track learning (which wasn't really possible in our previous LMS's) so the admin experience solved pretty much every problem we had in that regard - we love the ease of use of the reporting feature. It is like a one-stop shop for Evidence of education. The initial phase of the Absorb set-up was crucial, and we had received tremendous support from Britnney in the initial phase to the live rollout, and this support continued with Anup coming on board as well. From a learner's experience, the Absorb set-up allowed us to track all the activities of training and also allowed us to access all the available training on the LMS. Despite having our own specific mandatory training, access to other educational resources was made accessible. As a Learner and an Admin user, I can say that I use the Absorb platform every day, whether I am completing a learning on Absorb, building a curriculum, setting up an ILC session or even generating reports from Absorb. Absorb is user-friendly once you get used to the system. Through the constant education and awareness of Absorb integration, our report of difficulty in accessing or utilising Absorb has dropped drastically, which means that staff are becoming familiar with the system. Absorb has undoubtedly altered the dynamics of learning within a healthcare system, particularly at Health Care Fiji. **What do you dislike about Absorb LMS?** The inability to troubleshoot changes in the admin requires a process to make the changes. For example, for the tracking of CPD Points, you can not separate 2024 and 2025. All points for 2024 and 2025 will be added together. My curriculum is heavily scientific so I already knew going in that it wouldn't quite have the right level of detail and I wouldn't expect it to. For that reason I have been using the Create tool which works wonderfully. The software has allowed us to go from potentially having to outsource to me being able to build it myself. The course builder is robust and the timings mean animations are quite easy to create in the site itself without having to use any software (although I have also used Canva to create some graphics). I don't have a background in LMS content delivery, and this is my first time creating learning modules, so that should tell you how easy it is to use. The course and user management are done in a way that we can manage our education and users how we want to, and the customisation on home pages means they will get a professional experience. **What do you dislike about Absorb LMS?** The one thing that is missing for me in Create is the ability to use super- and sub-script text. Being scientific content, there is a LOT of this in my curriculum and I have to create separate text boxes each time, line it up and leave space in the main text. This is not difficult, but it is time consuming compared to being able to toggle superscript for a letter or two every now and then. Previous LMS hosts I’ve used were a hassle and took a long time to learn how to use. Most other LMS products are so complex, they required a separate role to be Learning tech support so that I could get help with my tasks as a Learning Designer. I love that the user-friendliness of Absorb allows me to poke around and find my own solutions easily. It’s very intuitive, so I find it easy to navigate. But I also find the search bar and suggested tags to be very clever- they seem to know exactly what I need based off my previous interactions. Absorb’s LMS makes me feel empowered. Before, I had to schedule time weekly or monthly with another person to get a simple report or upload a SCORM to the LMS. Now, I can assign courses, pull reports, and upload content in a second without anyone’s assistance. That makes me feel like a useful member of Talent Development and I feel confident that I can save my company money by taking on the tasks that would normally be allocated to a separate job role. I cannot say how much I appreciate Absorb Create as an add-on to the LMS. It is seamlessly connected for easy upload and updates but it is also an incredibly simply but powerful authoring tool. Create can produce similar content to that of Articulate Storyline without the oldschool layout or hours upon hours of training. I think it’s an amazing tool for beginner Learning Designers as well as experienced ones who want to pull off projects quickly and with ease. Above all, the constant support and attention of our Account Manager (Kayla C) and Client Success Manager (Olga M.) is what makes Absorb so great to partner with. They always respond quickly and keep up a regular cadence to check in on functions and things we want to achieve. They never shy away from complicated programs and are always eager to find a way to make Absorb work for us. Their implementation team did a great job providing training and support. It was the smoothest, most stress free, and trouble free implementation I have ever gone through. This included an integration with our SSO provider and HRIS system. Their support is exceptional as well. We have a dedicated Client Success Manager, Tomislav Crnkovic, who is the best CSM I have ever had the pleasure of working with. He is knowledge of the platform is deep and broad, he is incredibly responsive, and provides extensive answers to our questions. The platform itself is easy to use and intuitive. We did very little end user training, and have had very few requests for user support. Users are able to navigate the system easily and without trouble, which reduces support tickets. **What do you dislike about Absorb LMS?** From an administrative perspective the system is click heavy. Absorb is doing a great job to reduce this with the addition of AI powered filters and other enhancements. Additionally, the basic reporting functionality leaves a lot to be desired. Absorb wants you to purchase their reporting add-on in order to create custom reports and dashboards. That said, the basic reporting is sufficient for most of the reporting we need to do. **What problems is Absorb LMS solving and how is that benefiting you?** We use Absorb to provide compliance training, soft skills training, instructor led courses, safety training, and use their Create add-on for content creation. We chose Absorb because of the development roadmap, consistent improvements, ease of implementation, and the ability for our field employees to download courses, complete them when they don't have service, and then upload completion when they are back online. Absorb has improved our ability to offer courses to our field employees, and it supports our ongoing efforts to provide training that is accessible to any employee at anytime. ### 41. We're using the platform to train and educate a global network of resellers so we have many thousands of users on the system who successfully log in and complete courses. We also use the same system for our own internal training of staff. The support we receive from our CSM (Anup) is great and the responsiveness from the helpdesk whenever I put a ticket in is also very good. I find the help articles and instructions very clear also. I think the product has so many features that we are not yet using it to it's full capability - it is always evolving and providing more functionality to help us reach our learners. We've fully customized the user interface with our own branding and put our own style on as much of the learner interface as we can. **What do you dislike about Absorb LMS?** Sometimes I want to do things that I can't on the system, though this is often because we haven't purchased the additional components needed to do this e.g. Absorb Engage and Reporting modules. However, more often than not I find that Absorb is able to advise a solution and I also once put in a feature request to add a field to a report that was adopted which was great. Having some more of those additional features, especially the reporting, in the core product rather than having to buy the additional modules would be great though! **What problems is Absorb LMS solving and how is that benefiting you?** Absorb allows me to load up and share course content in the way I want to. We run a certification system for our resellers so Absorb is managing who is certified in what courses and when their certificate expires. We also have the system integrated with an email account to send out automated reminders and messages so that is a great help to my workload! There is so much that you can do with this platform - from the reporting and analytics, to the course creation tool, the engagement toolset and the design. It really is a very powerful platform that perfectly meets our needs and never fails to impress. As someone who has never managed an LMS before, I was pleasantly surprised to find that it is user-friendly and intuitive from both an admin and learner perspective. Whenever we give tours of our platform to partners or prospective partners, they are always blown away by the look and feel and the ease at which it can be managed. It is definitely helping us to win business and achieve company goals. Don't get me wrong - there's a lot going on with this platform and sometimes the answers to issues or questions aren't super obvious, but I find that it's a matter of just understanding how everything is working together to be able to troubleshoot. And thankfully, our client success manager, Greg Law, has been an excellent resource to helping us solve any questions that come up and learn how to effectively manage the platform as we move along. -- I'm coming back to add to this review months later and can still say that the above rings true - this is an extremely powerful platform that has only gotten easier to manage as time goes on and as I learn more about how everything is working. The support that our client success manager, Greg, has given throughout my experience has been invaluable and it's because of the work he has put in to our account that I feel as positively as I do. At so many different turns, he has been there to provide answers, troubleshoot and help me to think about the business long-term. I'm extremely grateful for his expertise and patience on a daily basis. **What do you dislike about Absorb LMS?** There isn't a lot that I dislike about Absorb. We did not have a great experience with our implementation PM but everyone else that we interacted with was super knowledgeable, responsive and patient with us and our millions of questions while we worked to understand whether it was the right solution for us, and from there, how to manage it. I will say that there have been some silly limitations to managing the platform. One of the issues we found early on was that the courses provided by Absorb in the Max content library did not automatically have languages designated to them, and in order for them to be searchable by language, you have to manually input this information. This is an issue if you're dealing with over 20,000 courses. We did eventually have the team at Absorb populate those languages for us, but it was tricky and outside of the team's usual work. I hope this is something they can solve in the future since it doesn't seem like something you should have to ask for! However, there was another issue that we had which had to do with being able to perform mass updates to the course library. For example, we wanted to be able to change the category of a large amount of courses at once. Unfortunately, you were required to make updates to the courses one-by-one. But soon after our implementation was finished, Absorb released an update allowing mass updates on multiple areas within the LMS. So, a pretty good end to an annoying functionality issue! -- I've had additional issues which all have to do with the need to perform mass edits. Recently, we have decided to whittle down our course offerings. Currently, we have over 20,000 courses available to learners. We need to remove all foreign language and other courses which are not relevant to our users and will hope to end with something more like 2,000 courses available. Unfortunately, there is no way to make mass deletions. So each day, I am spending much of my time manually deleting courses one by one which is not only a headache but a waste of my time. I am also performing mass edits to the availability rules attached to every course that is available and unfortunately, there is no option to select all and change things. As a warning to future admins: be very cautious when converting courses to be live on your LMS. It was not communicated to me by the Implementation PM when I was originally converting courses that I should set the department availability rule to "Include all Subdepartments" rather than "is Only," and I stupidly didn't think to do so. So, once we started building subdeparments for our partners, I discovered that none of the 20,000 courses I had originally manually converted were available to users assigned to subdepartments. This means that I now have to re-access all 20,000 courses and make these changes (which is a big reason for the mass deletions I previously described!) and delay work with partners because of this. The good news is that once completed, I should not have to worry about this again unless converting new content. However, it is a really poor use of my time day to day and I wish I knew this before all the work I already put in. I really hope that in the future Absorb considers making more mass edit functionality available to admins! **What problems is Absorb LMS solving and how is that benefiting you?** Our previous platform was created and managed by a third party. We had very little control over the platform, our content or the speed at which anything was accomplished. We were also stuck paying insane prices any time we wanted to make updates or add new courses. All of those issues together really held us back from achieving anything with our previous platform. We opted for Absorb because we needed to see a major change, and it has been one of the best decisions we made! We now have complete control of our future with this platform, and for a slice of the price we were stuck paying before. ### 45. Extremely easy to use.
