ABBYY FineReader Engine provides a very sleek, stripped down, easy-to-use solution for scanning of physical documents. Setup on modern computers can take a bit of time. Our IT department set us up, though we have had some difficulty trying to set up the scanners ourselves without training. ABBYY is one of the best OCR tools because it supplies many languages and it can deal with complicated languages such as Arabic. The OCR results are not accurate in some languages and I hope they can work on the output accuracy in some languages especially the Arabic language as it is used a lot in many countries. In my company, a construction company, we receive many PDFs that need to be converted to excel to make some calculations, so we use ABBYY to convert those PDFs to excel. I like the OCR results of ABBYY especially because it supports many many languages more than any other PDF or OCR software. I used ABBYY a lot because it supports the Arabic language to convert PDF files to excel or word. Also, the results are great even if the quality of the PDF is somehow low. I used ABBYY a lot and did not find any problems, I wish that they can enhance the results of some languages like Arabic because it used a lot in many countries. ABBYY FineReader Engine's accuracy, multilingual support, and wide range of document formats make it a beneficial tool for Intelligent Automation Implementations. But, out of all the good features, there are two essential elements: Customization and Scalability. The engine can be customized to meet the specific requirements of a particular application or project, such as font and language recognition, image processing, and output format. Also, the engine can be scaled to support high-volume document processing in enterprise-level applications, making it a reliable choice for businesses with significant document processing needs. A few things which can be improved in the ABBYY FineReader engine is its cost, which may be prohibitive for some users or small businesses. The majority of the usage is with Invoice related processes. The app allows you to easily convert files into various formats, including pdf, pptx, excel, etc.. You can easily extract information in an image and edit it, which not many apps can do. The conversion output, the way a mirror image of the source is being copied to the converted version. Detection of proper text within a document and the language support.
