Recommendations to others considering AbacusLaw by CARET:
In concept, the AbacusLaw/AbacusAccounting program would be very good. If you are a larger operation with in-house accounting or the wherewithal to outsource the finance function, I suspect it would work very well, since it is fully integrated (document generation, storage, timekeeping and billing). In practice, for a small firm (2 attorneys and one staffer), none of whom is trained in accounting or bookkeeping, it doesn't work well. Way too complex and unwieldy. AbacusAccounting is very difficult for a non-CPA or bookkeeper to use. We have not implemented the document creation feature because we don't have the time to do it ourselves, and cost for Abacus to do it is outside our budget. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
