Once training was completed it was not difficult to learn how to use the software and make sure it communicated to the compounding machine. **What do you dislike about Abacus Pharmacy Plus Software?** It was not integrated in the EMR at the time I used it, which meant you were inputting all the TPN ingredients in one place for compounding and then putting the order for patient care in another place. **What problems is Abacus Pharmacy Plus Software solving and how is that benefiting you?** It allowed us to more easily and efficiently compound for our patients ### 3. Abacus was one of those to review and we really liked the user interface and overall design of the platform. We ended up choosing Preferred Rx instead because of it's versatility to integrate with a number of different software systems. **What do you dislike about Abacus Pharmacy Plus Software?** At the moment wwe reviewed the software options we were unable to integrate with our ERP and CMS software systems. However now that I have moved on from the team I'm not familiar with product upgrades, etc. **What problems is Abacus Pharmacy Plus Software solving and how is that benefiting you?** We wanted to purchase software that benefited our initiatives to provide patients with efficient refill of prescriptions while saving on cost. It’s easy to make adjustments to the ingredient amounts. There is a warning screen to check the calicium and phosphate level, it generates an alert for out of range osmolarity as well. It is easy to add a new patient, the program has inputs for appropriate patient data also. User can have different privileges- administrator settings within the software. **What do you dislike about Abacus Pharmacy Plus Software?** It is difficult to add new ingredients to the compounding formula. It takes some trial and error to get the correct chloride:acetate ratio for TPN formulas.
