Customer Support is great, they are very quick to reply and help you to resolve any issues or doubts. The attention from Customer Success Manager is great, with structured monthly meetings and personalised approach. Abacum is very open to any feedback and develop the product very fast making it much more easier to use. The tool is quite flexible, so if a certain funcitonality is not yet developed there is always a way around it to serve our needs. The flexibility of creating models, structures, and reports is impressive. The way new items easily flow into the dimension structures and aggregations is remarkable. A static - or even a dynamic - Excel structure can hardly ensure this. The implementation team was super supportive of all matters and came up with creative workarounds when needed. As of today, we have completely cut off our highly complex Excel-based planning and forecasting model and switched to Abacum, with the key stakeholders also on board. Although the implementation team provides high-quality support, you also need to have at least a basic understanding of the system's logic and limitations to transform your old modeling structure to Abacum. Otherwise, you may have to rebuild certain parts again. Several dynamic items are still missing: dynamic filters like Excel slicers, formatting limitations on spaces, and handy solutions to switch between planning scenarios. Abacum is an extremely powerful, easy-to-use, FP&A platform that can cover all of your budgeting and reporting needs. It has been very easy to implement and their support team has been top notch to work with. We have been able to integrate with all of our major platforms, pull in all necessary data, prepare dashboards (which they call "spaces") for leadership and department heads, and establish a much better budgeting process. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What do you dislike about Abacum? We did an extensive search before choosing Abacum and are very pleased with our choice. Some of their competitors warned us about a portion of their team being based in Europe (we're a US-based org) but that has not been an issue at all. Our implementation team must work crazy hours because they've been very available to us despite the time difference. Also, we were warned about the need to write formulas in their modeling process but just as we were assured by our sales team, their formula syntax is very intuitive, easy to learn, and has not been a burden at all. All that to say - we have no concerns about Abacum at all. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What problems is Abacum solving and how is that benefiting you? Our initial purpose for finding Abacum was to get a better platform for our bottom-up budgeting process. Obviously, when we found Abacum, it is so much more than that. Not only will it make budgeting so much easier for our department heads, but will also provide really excellent reporting, dashboarding, and communication about all things financial. Abacum is a modern planning and reporting software with a flexible approach to integration, modeling and usability. The platform is clean and easy to use by users. What do you dislike about Abacum? As they are a new software company, some features still don't exist. They try to accommodate the best, develop as fast as possible and work on workarounds, but sometimes it's just not possible if it's an immediate/urgent need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com. What problems is Abacum solving and how is that benefiting you? I had three main problems that Abacum is helping me to solve: 1. Distribution of information and internal customers interactions Now I have a simple place to share information, request explanations from business areas, produce reports and execute budgeting and forecasting in a participative manner; 2. Modelling and budgeting process complexities done manually My company is from Brazil, and we have very complex payroll regulations. Also, the number of internal customers I need to attend has been growing very fast and we could not keep up with manual file sharing with SoD to everyone. Now with Abacum, I can do both of those things easily. 3. Monthly reporting done manually All the financials reports, KPI's, SaaS metrics and some OKR's were built manually by my team. This process would take several days; now, with Abacum reporting, integrations and modeling capabilities, my goal is to reduce this time by more than half. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
