User-Friendly Navigation: A-Scend's user interface is refreshingly easy to navigate. From the moment I logged in, I was greeted with a clean and intuitive layout that made it straightforward to access various features and functions. This is a big advantage, especially when dealing with time-sensitive audit tasks.

Effortless File Upload: Uploading files onto the platform is a breeze with A-Scend. The tool supports a variety of file formats, and the drag-and-drop functionality makes it convenient to quickly add relevant documents. Evidences Visibility: One aspect that could use improvement is the organization of evidences between the Upload and Download sections. While the Upload section makes it easy to add files, it's not as intuitive to locate specific evidence when you need to reference it later. Some sort of categorization or tagging system for uploaded files could greatly enhance the tool's usability.

Lack of Timestamps on Downloads: A significant shortcoming I noticed is the absence of timestamps on the files in the Download section. Timestamps are crucial for maintaining a clear audit trail and establishing a chronological order of events. We just completed our fifth SOC2 TYPE2 audit with A-LIGN this month. As such, we've seen quite the transformation of A-SCEND over the last few years, and this portal keeps getting better. Evidence submitted from our prior engagements is readily accessible, which is a huge benefit. The proffesionalism and the responsivnes of all people we interacted with during the assessment process, starting from their sales department, auditors and managers. The tool allows us to effectively keep track of where we are in the evidence collection process and the additional "Align Guidance" dropdowns per request help provide better clarity as to what is being requested in instances where we are not 100% sure of what type evidence would satisfy that the control is effectively being performed. Although we have recently seen the added automated tools that can come with the portal and its use with regards to data extraction from Azure, we have not had the proper insight to determine how effectively the tool would save us time in the data extraction exercise without exposing our environment beyond a level that we would feel comfortable accepting in our Cloud operations. A-scend portal has a very intuituve and easy to use interface. I am easily able to delegate any audit tasks to my team members easily. Very easy to navigate between previous year audits and re-use evidences. For any ongoing audits its quite easy to use use saem evidence for multiple questions instead of re-uploading. I wish that questions submitted via the portal also linked alert me if/when my question or comment was responded to. Ended up using email to communicate between the engagement manager and auditor as opposed to using the portal for an intended use.
