I have worked with outer providers that required uploading the same evidence for SOC2 and ISO in different areas. The way the tool works cuts the workload down significantly. **What do you dislike about A-LIGN?** If I had to list a downside, it would be in the way sorting happens. When viewing all the evidence tasks and click into one of them and go back, you have to reapply all the filtering then. **Recommendations to others considering A-LIGN:** Look at your process for submitting evidence, most other vendors require separate submissions for each compliance framework. **What problems is A-LIGN solving and how is that benefiting you?** A-SCEND helps us manage our evidence submission tasks for the yearly compliance program. Without the tool, the whole process would be significantly more challenging to manage. We have three different certifications to process each cycle, so this benefit is huge. ### 2. From the moment I logged in, I was greeted with a clean and intuitive layout that made it straightforward to access various features and functions. This is a big advantage, especially when dealing with time-sensitive audit tasks. Effortless File Upload: Uploading files onto the platform is a breeze with A-Scend. The tool supports a variety of file formats, and the drag-and-drop functionality makes it convenient to quickly add relevant documents. This feature has significantly streamlined the process of compiling and sharing audit evidence. **What do you dislike about A-LIGN?** Evidences Visibility: One aspect that could use improvement is the organization of evidences between the Upload and Download sections. While the Upload section makes it easy to add files, it's not as intuitive to locate specific evidence when you need to reference it later. Some sort of categorization or tagging system for uploaded files could greatly enhance the tool's usability. Lack of Timestamps on Downloads: A significant shortcoming I noticed is the absence of timestamps on the files in the Download section. Timestamps are crucial for maintaining a clear audit trail and establishing a chronological order of events. Adding timestamps to downloaded files would enhance the accuracy and credibility of the audit process. **What problems is A-LIGN solving and how is that benefiting you?** A-Scend is solving the problems of cumbersome evidence collection, inefficient tracking, and collaboration challenges that were common in audit processes. The user interface is straightforward and easy-to-use. **What do you dislike about A-LIGN?** It used to be challenging to link to evidence that was already uploaded but improved search and filter features have addressed this issue. I do wish you could delete comments prior to submitting evidence. **What problems is A-LIGN solving and how is that benefiting you?** Ascend streamlines the evidence submission and assessment process for our HITRUST certification. The expanded functionality of Ascend will facilitate our preparations for our SOC 2 audit in 2024 and provide us with a centralized hub for managing multiple assessments. ### 4. It's clear which controls, clauses and audit items overlap between different frameworks, regulations and standards. Engagement between audit team and end users is seamless and clear. **What do you dislike about A-LIGN?** There could be a better way to view the comparison between previous year's engagements in terms of evidence, compliance status for a given set of controls and nonconformities. Currently there isn't and results in the user having to go back and forth between selecting between each engagement. Also could use a JIRA integration for end users' org to facilitate evidence management, tracking and submission. **What problems is A-LIGN solving and how is that benefiting you?** A-SCEND is supporting our current audit processes with A-LIGN and is allowing clear and quick submission of evidence year after year. ### 5.
