## About VICIdial
VICIdial is an enterprise class, open source, contact center solution with predictive dialer capabilities. It can handle inbound, outbound, and blended phone calls, as well as inbound email and customer website chat, all within the same agent screen. VICIdial can be installed on your own hardware or you can use our hosted service. It is extremely flexible and scalable. A large VICIdial installation can handle over two million(2,000,000) phone calls per day, with over five hundred(500) agents handling calls and internet communications from customers. There are also over two thousand(2,000) settings and configuration options, allowing easy customization of distinct call flows, agent permissions and other settings.

**What do you like best about VICIdial?**

I like that VICIdial is a light solution, scalable, and free to use. The reporting services are great; I can see the agents' daily engagements and minutes on call, which helps me oversee the prices for my GSM gateway and the SIMs use.

**What do you dislike about VICIdial?**

- The knowledge curve: It's difficult to use on first instance. - An intuitive UI: Needs improvement to be more user-friendly. - A better UI, visually: It looks pretty old. - Initial setup: It was pretty challenging.

**What problems is VICIdial solving and how is that benefiting you?**

VICIdial fulfills my contact center needs with reporting and database integration features. I like seeing the agents' daily engagements and minutes on call, which helps me manage GSM gateway costs and SIM usage.

**What do you like best about VICIdial?**

Vicidal is having all nessaray module which require to run a contact center. Its light asterisk and better CRM integration makes it complete solution for my Customer service and sales process very convenient at one single server.

**What do you dislike about VICIdial?**

Bug and setting malfunction handling and  is bit tough because of very less support available from the community forum. Sometimes in critical situations we end up reinstalling/resetup the server.

**What problems is VICIdial solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Calling through VOIP with VICIDial has solved my Manual dialing work. It created efficient , less maintaince , and cost free environment for my contact center. New cloud versions of VICIDial has provided new tools for new age dialing works. Its auto working functionality keeps me concern free and less involving.

**What do you like best about VICIdial?**

Almost everything! I've been using for more than a decade now. The best feature so far has been the ability to customize it (if you have fair knowledge of core PHP and the Asterisk ecosystem and telephony like SIP/webrtc). It has all possible methods of dialing (manual, progressive, preview and the best - predictive/auto dialing). There are a plethora of other features such as call scripts, ACD, IVRs, remote agents, etc. that are conducive to a productive work environment, especially in call centres of any size.

**What do you dislike about VICIdial?**

Much of the resources online that used to help with customization has either been taken offline or have been converted to paid solutions. Documentation is fairly good, but was way better earlier.

**What problems is VICIdial solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mainly at our call center business, we often face the need to reach out to a large audience for various purposes (order lifecycle management, customer support, etc.). With the right headcount and automation coupled with Vicidial's features, it is usually a breeze. Running voice broadcast campaigns with remote agents is another recommended feature!

It has capability to support predictive dialing that saves lot of time and provide huge productivity . It has very help full features like Integrated CRM, USER management and asterisk in one server.

Vicidial is little tough in terms of troubleshooting. Some time i felt very hard to find soluttions for some problems. Since its open source software hence no support is available.

Easy to reach Offshore customers through Voip services which easlity gets integrated with Vicidial. Bulk dialing is possible with Vicidial. Predictive dialing makes it very helpfull for my contact center.

The autodialer is as simple as they get, There's not much to personalize and for the end user it is very straightforward, I also like that it is compatible with pretty much every browser and computer on earth

**What do you dislike about VICIdial?**

The user interface leaves a lot to be desired, it is as spartan as it gets, there's no customization, and the call in, call-out sounds can feel very outdated. VICIdial could definitely use a facelift after many years.

It has helped my organization in the cold calling front, reaching out to leads based on a list, and keeping records of interactions: Who, when, and how they were made.

Tool can be used in different platforms and can be easily integrated with other home designed tools. Easy management of calls, status, queue, everything in one place.

Some parts can be optimized to be more user friendly, if you are totally new to the LOB or to the industry, you will struggle because it was designed for people with experience.

**What do you like best about VICIdial?**

We are using Vicidial for our overseas calling process for client handling & management. We have configured Vicidial with SIP Trunks so that we can get secure VoIP services. We have created a dial plan according to our business requirement & also added a few auto-responses. Vicidial provides an easy to configure & manage environment over GUI-based function. We need to add the data in excel sheets & then need to import it into Vicidial to fetching the data. It also provides an admin dashboard so that we can manage & configure user-based roles & policies easily.

Vicidial needs to improvise their user-interface functions & also need to add more third-party tools for a smooth workflow.

**Recommendations to others considering VICIdial:**

Vicidial is one of the best open-source solutions for your Voice over IP needs. It provides easy to manage & configure interface & works on a Linux environment on the backend. I recommend it to everyone looking for VoIP solutions.

Vicidial helps us a lot in a smooth VoIP system set up to easily communicate with clients with softphones. We have integrated it with a softphone Zoiper as well. Also, Vicidial helps us in providing easy to manage user interface for data management for calls.

This has the potential to be a good service if the customer service wasn't so lacking.

**What do you dislike about VICIdial?**

For one year, we did not use the product due to Covid-19 and being shut down. We asked if we can receive a credit and were told no. We asked to pause and we were told no. Our only option was canceling. Once we canceled, a few months later we asked to re-activate. We were told a $1000 reinstatement fee needed to be in place for us to continue. I asked if that can be waived and their accountant Stacey was very unprofessional. 

Her exact words in an email "My boss has hired me specifically to keep deadbeats like you at bay.  What do you think?  He wants to lose more money because of your company?  With that ultra-sweet offer of 1 month of service?  Pass."

The fact an employee would email someone that is unprofessional. I called today to speak to a manager and nobody will return my call.

The ease of use is wonderful. It's easily designed to be switched from auto dial to manual dial, its easy to make calls and keeps track of the lead's phone numbers and contact info all in one place.

Sometimes it can glitch out and you have to log out and log back in but that may honestly just be my computer.

- Ease of use, both on the user and administrative side.
- Users manual is great, covers everything you need to know. Support forum is really helpful. I have zero knowledge about call center suites before  switching to Vicidial. It greatly increased my skill as an IT professional
- Cluster setup make it really easy to add/remove servers as needed.
- Most of all, it's FREE

**What do you dislike about VICIdial?**

Not a dislike but merely a suggestion. Add lists priority option where I can set which lead list have higher priority over other lists. I know there is list rank but i can only set it during uploading of list.

Paginate List Listing, User Listing, Phones Listing, Add search functionality and other items that tends to get long. It's a bit hard to find things when there are so many on the list(lead lists, phones, users, etc..)

This is the best software solution for a call center.

**What do you like best about VICIdial?**

VICIdial is free, open-source, and regularly updated.  It has a very active support forum which is pretty easy to find answers to many common issues you may come across.  The majority of settings have easy to read descriptions. The community is extremely helpful and encouraging.

**What do you dislike about VICIdial?**

The GUI is pretty dated, but admittedly that really doesn't matter to me too much, stable and "it works" , beats "pretty" all day long.  Plus it could be much better and I don't know as it works so well for us, I have no need to try and upgrade to the latest version as I have years of custom integrations I don't wish to break and/or rebuild for minor improvements.

Buy the manual, use the support forum - then help others as you gain experience.

Lead generation, customer followup and support.  Inbound and outbound call center.

By using Vicidial we have been able to support many more clients which would have been impossible with the costs of other paid proprietary software. We have grown much faster as a company and learned how to integrate many things with VICIdial.

I like all the Suite Modules, but honestly the most i really like the easy way to adapt to any kind of customer requirement. And if You like programing as i do, You will not have a limit, you can use almost any programming language to interact with the system and create any kind of solution for any kind of company.

I really don't dislike anything, but if i have to suggest something i will do in the interface, may be using some framework like bootstrap but, honestly it is not a must.

If You are searching for a complete suite for a Call Center i'm almost sure this is the solution you need.

In most of the cases i solved the problem caused by the slow dialing and errors in the numbers dialed manually. Call Centers with autodialing or an automated voice reminder have many advantages vs their competitors.

It is simple to use. We relatively use it for outbound calls. There is an option to view the status of each person logged in. Every person logged in has a different randomly generated dummy phone number assigned.

It lags a lot. There are frequent system issues. You need a separate dialer to use this CRM.

Find another CRM to use.

It gives you the basic CRM format. It is workable. Not the best, but adequate.

Make sure you hire a consultant, don't set this up yourself if you have no experience with the software.

We are able to efficiently blend inbound and outbound calls, allow callers to be called back automatically, capture leads from our websites, write our own reports and mods that integrate with Vicidial.

Biggest upsides to me is how robust, well written and how well supported the project is including the community who all offer advice and support to one another.

To me, the downsides that since it's open sourced, there are bad actors out there that utilize the power of VICIdial for nefarious purposes that violate regulation and make the guys that are doing the right thing look bad.

If you are looking for call center software to run your room with for your agents, don't waste your time looking elsewhere. Use VICIdial, there's no competitor that comes close.

**What do you like best about VICIdial?**

What I like the most is that Vicidial is perhaps one of the most complete programs for the management of a CallCenter with OpenSource license. It allows managing incoming calls / campaigns and outgoing calls / campaigns; As PBX uses Asterisk (version 1.8.X). Vicibox is the version of Vicidial that comes in an ISO. The latest version available is 6.0.4 and installation on a Vultr VPS of 8GB of RAM, 4 vCPU and 150GB hard drive. With this type of configuration, according to the document that accompanies the ISO, we can use a maximum of 15 Agents in outgoing call campaigns or 25 Agents in incoming call campaigns. Vicidial can also be installed in a group of servers composed of 4 machines: Database, Web part, Asterisk PBX, Server to archive calls recordings.

**What do you dislike about VICIdial?**


Sometimes the program Remove the agents from the system and send them to a screen that says ''click here for login again'' , the softphone hangs up, the web takes time to unfold, calls are crossed, Realtime shows many agents in dead when they are actually on call, it pauses automatically, it has a deface when the agent already has the client on the screen and with the data it takes to unfold.

VICIdial provides contact agents with a Unified Agent Screen. This feature allows them to handle inbound and outbound phone calls, as well as inbound emails and website customer chat sessions without having to open multiple screens and change views from one screen to another.

It's open source, robust, flexible and easy to use. It has all of the features needed for a production contact center environment, with active or receptive operations, with enterprise grade stability.

The end user GUI should be better looking.

Read the manual, and follow the specified hardware e environment recommendations.

We used VICIdial as a contact center software for several projects. In all of them it worked very well, and we achieved all of our goals. It's robust, flexible and easy to use. The predictive dialer works like a charm. It's capable to manage complex active campaigns.

Its simple to understand and use. The interface is very user friendly and almost self explanatory. It also allows my calls at work to be easily listened in on and finding others in the network is quite easy as well.

I don't really have anything to say about disliking it.

We use VICIdial to randomly dial calls and use specified calling lists. The benefits I have noticed working with VICIdial is it allows for easy monitoring of my agents calls and records all calls that are made so we can run them back. Very convenient

I have used this software on 4 different deployments for nearly two years now. I love it because its free, stable, reliable and extremely flexible to build new features on top of existing tons of features.

I would like to see better agent screen and off site synchronisation between two call centers

Its fastest growing and free. I would recomend it to every user

**What do you like best about VICIdial?**

ITS FREE, yes believe it or not it’s an extremely complete call center software and its free, its mainly for outbound calling and it has a nice dialer and is 100% adaptable to any operation, it allows you to tailor reports and manage your staff and times.

**What do you dislike about VICIdial?**

If I could find 1 thing against vici dial it would be to install it, although is free, the company charges for installation, you can do it yourself but be ready to spend at least a couple of full time weeks to get it started.

**Recommendations to others considering VICIdial:**

There are several installation methods, I would recommend looking them up and see which one fits better your needs, also get the required servers for your operation in the future otherwise when you scale it it will be difficult, finally I highly recommend you buy the user manual (it’s not that expensive) it will help you with the setup and management.

**What problems is VICIdial solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I I was looking for an affordable software to run a Call Center and I couldn’t find anything really good, most were generic , however I was able to find ViciDial and although setup took me a long time, it helped me a great deal, I had all the reporting and management I wanted.

**What do you like best about VICIdial?**

I absolutely love this dialer.  Out of all the dialers I have used in my years as a telemarketer I have found that I like this one the most.  It is the easiest to use and the easiest to train someone on.  If I had to pick a dialer for a business that deals with telemarketing it would be this one.

**What do you dislike about VICIdial?**

Sometimes it does have a lot of dropped calls and sound issues.  But we solve this by logging out and back in again and that usually fixes the issue but at times it can't be rather annoying.  That is the only issue that I can think of that I dislike.  Like I said i love this dialer.

**Recommendations to others considering VICIdial:**

If you need an auto dialer this is the one that you definitely want to use.  It is the easiest to learn and teach from.  I have worked with other dialers and this one I have found is the best

**What problems is VICIdial solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I recieve incoming and outgoing calls from the homeownerproject so that I can provide the credit repair to their clients.  They transfer clients to us on Vici dial and we work with those clients on vici and sign them up for credit repair so that in the end they can purchase a home.

May run slow or have system delays. There are times when you have two or more calls at the same time when a number is dialed.

The ease of the dialer it is one of the easist ones I have used.  The sound quality is usually pretty good also which makes for another plus with vici.

**What do you dislike about VICIdial?**

When it does mess up it really messes up.  In the almost three years that I have used Vici there has been times where it has gone down for hours.  It has gotten better but that is definitely something they still need to work on.

**Recommendations to others considering VICIdial:**

It is a great auto dialer.  If you want something that is fairly easy to train people on this is the auto dialer you want to use.

We use this software as our automatic dialer to be able to receive incoming and outgoing calls all day long.  Our goal is to get people to sign up for credit repair so that they can eventually purchase a home.

I'm using at work with manual dialing and its very easy. You just need to click manul dial and enter the number or dial the next number

One thing i noticed sometimes when you click paused and active.. one call will enter and another one two. Two voices in one call and its just really unable to manage
