"Scalable, Seamless, and Cost-Effective Data Warehousing"
What do you like best about Snowflake?

I really enjoy Snowflake's scalability and performance, which have streamlined our data analytics process. The way it handles large volumes of data without compromising speed is impressive. I appreciate the seamless integration with our existing tools, making life so much easier. I also really enjoy Snowflake's automatic scaling, like having a super smart assistant that adjusts resources based on demand. The data sharing feature is a game-changer for collaboration with partners and internal teams; it works seamlessly. Snowflake's solid integrations with tools like Tableau and Power BI make visualization and gaining insights a breeze. The initial setup was pretty straightforward thanks to their solid documentation and helpful team, allowing us to start loading and querying data within a day. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Snowflake?

Honestly, one thing that can be a bit of a pain is Snowflake's cost management - it can get tricky to optimize costs, especially with complex queries or large data volumes. And sometimes, the learning curve for advanced features can be a bit steep, especially for new users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Analytics and Fast Scaling with Snowflake"
What do you like best about Snowflake?

Snowflake is very easy to use and quick to implement compared to traditional data warehouses. I like how compute and storage are separated, which makes scaling simple and cost-efficient for different workloads. Integration with BI tools and cloud services is smooth, and query performance is consistently strong. Because of its simplicity and reliability, it’s used very frequently for analytics and reporting. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Snowflake?

Cost can become difficult to track, especially with frequent queries and multiple users running workloads at the same time. Some advanced features require a deeper understanding to optimize properly, and debugging performance issues isn’t always straightforward. While support and documentation are good, fine-tuning usage to control costs takes effort. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Scalability with Stellar Performance"
What do you like best about Snowflake?

I like the separation of compute and storage in Snowflake, which allows for independent scaling and helps to avoid query conflicts while improving concurrency and controlling costs. I appreciate Snowflake's high performance with minimal tuning, as it automatically manages optimization tasks like indexing and query planning, allowing complex queries to run efficiently. The ease of handling different data types, including the ability to work with structured and semi-structured data like JSON, is another plus for me. I enjoy the low maintenance nature of Snowflake, as it eliminates the need to manage servers and indexing. Its strong integration ecosystem with various data storage and analytic tools makes it a versatile choice for data warehousing. The quick provisioning process, smooth data loading from cloud storage, and straightforward database management using SQL commands greatly simplify setup and operation. What do you dislike about Snowflake?

Cost management can be tricky. While the pay-as-you-use model is powerful, it requires close monitoring. In our project, long-running or poorly written queries could quickly increase compute costs if warehouses were not managed properly. Snowflake abstracts most performance tuning, which is usually a benefit. However, in some complex scenarios, the lack of deep control made fine-grained optimization difficult. Basic usage is simple, but advanced concepts such as time-travel, zero-copy cloning, and secure data sharing took time for teams with strict latency or connectivity requirements. "Effortlessly Scalable Analytics with Snowflake"
What do you like best about Snowflake?

I like the ease of use combined with powerful scalability in Snowflake. The platform handles performance optimization automatically, making queries run quickly without needing manual tuning. The separation of compute and storage offers great flexibility and cost efficiency. Snowflake’s secure data sharing and seamless integration with BI and data tools make collaboration and analytics highly efficient. The initial setup was very easy and straightforward, with minimal time required to start. The intuitive interface and clear onboarding steps facilitated quick connection to data sources and running queries swiftly, even for first-time users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Snowflake?

Some areas that could be improved include cost visibility and optimization, especially for teams new to Snowflake, as usage-based pricing can take time to fully understand and manage. The platform is very powerful, but advanced features have a learning curve, so better in-product guidance or documentation for new users would be helpful. Additionally, more native monitoring and cost-governance tools could make it easier to track and control spend across teams. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Good decision for cloud data warehousing"
What do you like best about Snowflake?

Depending on the size of your warehouse, we can handle a large amount of data without performance issues. This would be very difficult with an on-prem server.Further, the separation of storage and compute helps with resource management.Additionally, we're a Tableau shop, and Tableau has a built-in connector with Snowflake that is reliable and efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Snowflake?

Cost management can be challenging. This is where the size of the warehouse comes into play (see What do you like best about Snowflake?). If you optimize the size of your warehouse small, costs will be smaller. Along these lines, it's best to understand credit usage early to make sure you're managing effectively. But overall, few negatives that can't be managed with some forethought. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effortless Scalability and Integration for Fast-Paced Analytics"
What do you like best about Snowflake?

Snowflake stands out for its ease of use and instant scalability—we can right-size compute in seconds without complex infrastructure, while maintaining strong governance and encryption for sensitive safety data. The multi-cloud flexibility and tight integrations with BI/ETL tools mean our data engineering and analytics teams move faster with less friction. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Snowflake?

Everytime, we load the data for analytics purposes, it has to be loaded completely. It is not good for few use cases like Sensor data wherein realtime decision making is required. Also, it has cost structure which is complex. We don't know we are really spending money on. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Outstanding Performance and Simplicity for Modern Data Platforms"
What do you like best about Snowflake?

Snowflake’s performance and simplicity stand out. Features like automatic clustering, micro-partitioning, and zero-copy cloning reduce operational overhead while still delivering high query performance. The platform is easy to manage compared to traditional data warehouses.

Finally, Snowflake’s strong ecosystem and cloud-native capabilities—including secure data sharing, time travel, and seamless integration with tools like DBT and cloud services—make it highly effective for building modern, scalable data platforms. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Snowflake?

What I dislike about Snowflake is primarily related to cost predictability and control. While the platform scales very well, it is easy for costs to increase unexpectedly if warehouses are not carefully managed or if inefficient queries run at scale.

Another limitation is reduced transparency and control at the infrastructure level. Compared to open-source or self-managed systems, debugging deep performance issues or understanding low-level execution behavior can be challenging.

Lastly, for certain use cases, vendor lock-in can be a concern. Snowflake’s proprietary features and SQL extensions make migrations to other platforms more complex, which requires careful architectural planning upfront. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Intuitive Framework, Needs Script Flexibility"
What do you like best about Snowflake?

I use Snowflake for pulling, cleaning, and required functions, and I find it easy to use and implement SQL queries with this platform. I appreciate the framework, which is easy to understand, and the layout it displays is great, with the left side full of tables, the center for queries, and the bottom running the query and displaying the output. The initial setup was pretty chill, and I would rate my likelihood to recommend it as a 9 out of 10. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Snowflake?

I will say, for dynamic scripts especially columns - it won’t automatically add new columns in dynamic scripts. We can only do this for rows, not for columns. It should be flexible in the script to allow these kinds of dynamic scripts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Snowflake makes data work easy"
What do you like best about Snowflake?

I use snowflake almost everyday to work with big datasets cleaning, querying, and analyzing. What i really like is how easily it connects with tools like tableau and looker for reporting, and even google sheets when someone just. The interface is clean and and easy to use, and bring able to run queries right in the browser makes my work faster. Getting started with it was very straightforward too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Snowflake?

Honestly, the toughest part with snowflake is keeping costs under control. If a query isn’t optimised just exploring data can get expensive fast since uo’re charged gets processed. Snowflake is that it feels a bit easier to mange costs you only pay for the compute you actually use, and it can auto suspend when not in use. That makes it less stressful to dig into data without constantly worrying about the bill. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
