## Reaper Reviews
  ### 1. REAPER! - The only DAW that you need to fulfil all your audio needs.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Simon M. | Chief Content Creator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 02, 2021

**What do you like best about Reaper?**

Reaper was one of the first software that I started using as a student. As time went on and my business started to scale up, I was able to switch to a commercial license. The best thing about Reaper is that there are no limitations placed on anyone using the software for the first time. All installations come with a 60 day evaluation license that does not limit the software even after the time period is over. The folks at Cockos even offer a discounted license for students that is a fraction of the cost you would pay for a full copy.

**What do you dislike about Reaper?**

Honestly, there are no downsides. There are constant updates that help with this.

**Recommendations to others considering Reaper:**

Go with your eyes closed. It simply is the best

**What problems is Reaper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Scaling up business. This is one of the most difficult things to do when there are huge upfront costs associated with starting a business. Reaper allows the flexibility of not having to pay a huge amount upfront.

  ### 2. My DAW for editing podcasts

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ramiro A. | Host, Entertainment, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 19, 2024

**What do you like best about Reaper?**

The flexibility to configure absolutely all the available functions in the program, from shortcuts, function combinations, aesthetics, changes are implemented quickly and effectively, they present updates constantly correcting minor details and implementing new functions. I haven't used the technical support but it has a very active user base that helps with corrections or advice.

**What do you dislike about Reaper?**

Visually, sometimes it is not very attractive and coming from another program, it can be somewhat confrontational due to previous shortcut habits.

**What problems is Reaper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I needed a program that was lightweight yet robust at the same time, reliable, that wouldn't fail and would update constantly, and also, that would allow me the freedom to install multiple plugins and configure shortcuts, functions, paths, etc., to my liking and needs. By being able to completely customize everything in the program, I can create multiple workspaces depending on the occasion and my needs. However, at first, the program can be somewhat confrontational and not very intuitive.

  ### 3. Versatile DAW strong enough for client work but light enough for the bedroom engineer.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bryan M. | Marketing Strategist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 16, 2022

**What do you like best about Reaper?**

Reaper has many different advantages over other DAWs. The price is unbeatable starting at the unlimited free evaluation, to $60 for the discounted license, to the commercial license which is $225 at the moment. It's lightweight; I was able to handle a lot more plugins on a chain than I could have on FL Studio. It's also extremely customizable almost to a fault but not. Also, every action within the software can be mapped to a keystroke. You can customize your screen to include these actions as buttons so that you don't have to reach for your keyboard or go layers deep in your menus. The web midi interface lets you control your daw using a browser on a phone, tablet or additional computer and these can also be customizable. I've never seen that in any other daw. I could really go on and on because there are 10 or so features that make Reaper pretty powerful if you have the time to learn and customize it.

**What do you dislike about Reaper?**

The main weakness that Reaper has is that it doesn't come with any virtual instruments and the sampler is pretty basic (though very functional.) Luckily there are many free virtual instruments out there including Vital, Keyscape, etc to have enough to get started if funds are very tight.

**Recommendations to others considering Reaper:**

Be sure to look up the reaper stash, google Analog Obsessions and install SWS extensions. You'll find a free plugin, (oftentimes better than paid alternatives) for just about all of your mixing needs between the Reaper stash and Analog Obsessions. SWS extensions will give your DAW more capabilities.

**What problems is Reaper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I've consolidated my beat-making, production, vocal tracking, mixing, and mastering into one workflow within one software. This saves me space since I'm not having to bounce trackouts from other software just to mix.

  ### 4. One of The best

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Music | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 29, 2020

**What do you like best about Reaper?**

Takes less CPU power. And also can run fully any time in trial mode. Easy yo use. User friendly.

**What do you dislike about Reaper?**

Not like protools. Two many features

**Recommendations to others considering Reaper:**

Cost effective and it gets the shit done

**What problems is Reaper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A mac book pro is enough to run reaper with no much upgrades. And run 32 channels simultaneously with no issues

  ### 5. Simply the best audio production/recording tool you can consider

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alex B. | Game Tester, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 30, 2021

**What do you like best about Reaper?**

I don't know where to start, honestly!
It's easy to use, has so many features, the user interface is pretty modern and user friendly, at the same time containing all the features. You can record and work on actual full songs in the studio quality. It's so generous that such software is available for evaluation license for people who want to make music at home.
Reaper is the first audio recording software I tried to record my guitar. It blew me away how easy it is to record and master tracks nowadays in excellent quality. It just works.

**What do you dislike about Reaper?**

I can't find a single thing that I dislike. Reaper is just genuinely perfect, and I don't know what could be better at this point. I'm so happy with Reaper and the features it provides.
There was not a single moment when I thought, "What a pity, I want that feature, but it's not there.".

**What problems is Reaper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I record my guitar, adding multiple tracks and virtual instruments. I master my tracks and record all with Reaper and feel no limit in that. At this point, there are too many abilities available, so I'm just doing what I need, I might play around sometimes with spectrum graphs (just for my interest), but usually, I also record and master while looping the items.
When I first started recording my guitar, I used VSTs and looper, and it wasn't so good. Then I found Reaper, and it's just so much easier to use Reaper to both play, record and master everything.

  ### 6. Reaper, a light weight solution for windows users

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mafdy M. | Android Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 17, 2020

**What do you like best about Reaper?**

Reaper is just a lightweight fast working software, you just launch it and it works fast, just adding tracks and start making music, the UI can be a little complicated to first timers but it's easy to get used to it, supports most types of plugins which are easy to add, and it can add plugins and effects to either the input of the track or the track itself which i find super handy sometimes while recording and live monitoring, using search for finding any plugin or instrument is a super handy feature, working with midi is different that other DAWs but it's not complicated, and the functions are great as well, the software handles the audio driver very good and very few issues occurred due to audio interface problems, the software is very reliable and rarely crashes, i consider reaper to be on of the most stable DAWs out there, you can rely on it to record really long multi-track sessions with no problems, i love the integration they have done with ReaRoute ASIO, it made going live with software like OBS possible, which i found this is to be very hard to do on Windows because of the way how Windows handles audio devices

**What do you dislike about Reaper?**

routing audio between tracks is so complicated, audio editing is not a strong area for this software, creating aux tracks for routing audio or for adding effects like reverb or delay is complicated as well, i don't like the way it handles recording as files to save and especially when recording twice in the same area in the grid

**Recommendations to others considering Reaper:**

you can start getting your musical ideas fast using this software and get started at no time

**What problems is Reaper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

i wanted a fast working solution for doing some music after i get a simple musical idea OR if you want to record yourself and your audio using screen recording or by doing live streams this DAW is for you

  ### 7. The most contemporary and feature-full DAW is also very cheap!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Media Production | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 24, 2020

**What do you like best about Reaper?**

The Reaper digital audio workstation, has something that no other sequencer has, which makes a lot of difference in many sectors of the program and its user base. Ask anyone that uses Reaper and you will get a different question why they love it. But all answers have something in common.

Reaper is open-ended and engineered with love.

The team behind Reaper are not salesmen and public relations experts, to be able to create promotional material that shows what is in essence music production porn. They focus on making a program that performs the same in all major operating systems used for media creation and scientific research on sound. They focus on maintaining this program, by continuously updating the quality of their already awesome codebase. They focus on interacting on a daily basis with their community. Finally, they focus on the arts of sound themselves, so they remain true to the vision.

Engineered with love, means that Reaper not only features quality on the technical side (has the highest quality pipeline by far), but it also features "quality on use" as it is called, or perceived quality as I like to call it. Quality in use, is the holistic quality in all domains, from having smoothly calculated faders that perform intuitively for the user in any screen resolution, to behave so transparently as a program, that it's never going to stand between you and your creations.

The open-ended nature of Reaper, stands for the extensive support of programming languages and sockets for other people and the community, to create tools and interact with the program's internal functions. The publicly available effects and extensions is massive and well documented. Just check on the thousands JSFX plugins that come for free with the installation and many more that can be downloaded from open repositories (http://reaper.fm/sdk/js/js.php), and the same goes for tools and extensions that even have a community driven tool to manage them and update them called ReaPack (https://reapack.com/).

Really, to write about all the features that make Reaper a unique audio tool, I would need several volumes of text-heavy books.

To give you an idea, here are some sectors that Reaper excels: film sound, sound design, scientific measurements, multichannel and ambisonics, efficient use of system resources, skins, slot for room correction plugins that don't render, interoperability with game audio engines like Fmod and Wwise, the most advanced exporter on the market bar none, and many-many more.

**What do you dislike about Reaper?**

There is nothing to dislike, I'm sorry, you won't find information here. You have to ask someone to dislike Reaper, or even better, get on their website and download Reaper which offers a completely open version for one month, so you can see for yourself if it fits your psychology.

Things that you may dislike are not because there are bugs or bad functions, Reaper is excellently engineered. It's just that not everyone likes the same things. Some people like Reaper, some Logic, some Cubase. It's the same like any other tool we use or the choices we make on our home decoration and utilities.

Give it a try, and pay a visit at the forums. You can find me too there as Joystick.

**Recommendations to others considering Reaper:**

Give it a try, see if it fits. It's free and fully functional for a month. Also for the price of some coffees you can own it even if you like to use it here and there to do things that no other DAW does.

**What problems is Reaper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Reaper to keep an extensive audio production pipeline for my audio assets providing company www.soundfellas.com. We create next-gen features for our products that creative sectors like games and film need to create immersive experiences. We also feature free lifetime updates.

I'm saying all that, not to advertise my pipeline and products, after all, the this review will probably be read by sound designers and music producers and not game developers and filmmakers.

I'm saying all that, because without Reaper, it wouldn't be possible to have a completely non-destructive pipeline that features continuous development for sound libraries.

Also, due to the way Reaper works with open text-based project files, and extensive template and shareable preferences system, I am able to establish a very detailed quality controlled production pipeline, that all my team works, to achieve granular control and fast high-level output.

Reaper is incredibly accessible and has all the inbuilt modules to create a professional experience. It can do everything that you expect it to do.

**What do you dislike about Reaper?**

At first, using the reaper was a bit daunting, needs getting used to it.

**What problems is Reaper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The benefits of reaper is the quality of output. It helps me to get my sound tracks up to the standards which I hold for my music.

**What do you dislike about Reaper?**

Price of product, it's a bit steep for Serbian wallet

  ### 10. The most customisable DAW that works the way you want to work.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Viswa M. | Freelance Audio Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 23, 2020

**What do you like best about Reaper?**

The ability to create custom actions to do things faster.

**What do you dislike about Reaper?**

The sheer amount of customisation might be overwhelming to new people.

**Recommendations to others considering Reaper:**

If you prefer a certain workflow and would like to make it faster by customisation, then reaper is the best choice.

**What problems is Reaper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Stability is unmatched, light on resources.

  ### 11. Very easy to start as a DAW novice

**Reviewed Date:** May 27, 2020

**What do you like best about Reaper?**

it is not complicated on what you should do to rec or add plugin etc

**What do you dislike about Reaper?**

A little hard on how to record a second take on the same line, or how to glue two takes and where to move them. Alsi the timestamp is only movable on metronome beats

**What problems is Reaper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helped me recreate my basslines in a live performance record that there was a problem with my bass and everything was recorded dirty

  ### 12. The Most Bang for Your Buck

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Camden C. | Disc Jockey, Performing Arts, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 23, 2019

**What do you like best about Reaper?**

I cannot say enough good things about Reaper. It has been my go-to audio editing solution for nearly a decade. It is extremely robust, flexible, and incredibly well priced. I find myself getting more accomplished more quickly than friends who are still using ProTools and I'm paying a lot less!

**What do you dislike about Reaper?**

If you had asked me a few years ago what I dislike about Reaper, I would have said integration with other products. Sometimes bringing in VSTs and other plug-ins could be a bit of a chore. But at this point there's just about nothing it can't talk to seamlessly.

**What problems is Reaper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Whether it is editing bumpers and commercials for radio broadcast, producing music for local musicians, or using it as an audio notepad for my musical theatre composition projects, Reaper is what I use for all audio projects - big to small. It cannot be beat on flexibility to price ratio.

  ### 13. A necessary daw for fast production

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Victor J. | Music producer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 20, 2018

**What do you like best about Reaper?**

I like how fast, easy to use, and LIGHT in comparison with other software/daw from the same category reaper is, it can load almost anything available on the market(vsti, plugins, rewires) really fast and consuming a tiny amount of ram space, which is something we always need to do when we are recording, mixing, or working on audio edition.

**What do you dislike about Reaper?**

I dislike the fact that the internal audio edition its a bit clumsy, like, its a bit complicated to chop and export one tiny amount of audio without having to render it instead of just exporting the selected piece, aside from that the program works marvelously.

**Recommendations to others considering Reaper:**

I would recommend to use it in adition to other daws like adobe audition or audacity, if you are having trouble cuting an audio file.

**What problems is Reaper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When you have a computer with not much enormous capabilities but you still need to record, mix or edit audio, you can rely on Reaper, the fast render of audio and the easy interface to use makes it a number one option when it comes to audio workstations.

  ### 14. Reaper

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Beth M. | Beth McPherson, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 22, 2019

**What do you like best about Reaper?**

Reaper allows users to try the product for a limited time before they are required to buy it, allowing users to learn how to use the software and determine if it will meet their needs and if they enjoy using it. It is an excellent recording and audio editing tool.

**What do you dislike about Reaper?**

Reaper is a step above GarageBand in terms of recording and editing audio. However, it does not have the MIDI editing capabilities of GarageBand and does not include a MIDI sample library like GarageBand does. It still does not have as many MIDI editing and audio editing capabilities as other digital audio workstations, such as Logic Pro X and Pro Tools, and therefore is not often used by professional producers and audio engineers in the music industry.

**Recommendations to others considering Reaper:**

Reaper is more challenging to use than GarageBand, but has more audio editing and recording capabilities. It, however, does not have quite as many audio editing and recording functions as more professional and higher quality digital audio workstations that are more frequently used by professionals. This product is recommended for amateur audio engineers and producers and people who do so as a hobby rather than a profession.

**What problems is Reaper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reaper is a more challenging digital audio workstation to use than GarageBand and has more of a learning curve, and is a good transition tool for users who have begun learning to record and edit MIDI and audio tracks and GarageBand and need or want to move on to something more professional and more difficult to use with more recording and editing functions and capabilities.

  ### 15. ease of use

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jordan C. | Bassist/Vocalist, Music, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 03, 2018

**What do you like best about Reaper?**

What I like best about Reaper is that the interface is extremely easy to use - just like my review of garageband, I enjoy softwares that are easy to use and to understand as a beginner in recording. It is affordable and I enjoy how the interface is customizable, and I can change the toolbar, layouts and appearance to fit my agenda.

**What do you dislike about Reaper?**

I dislike that using this on a PC is easier than using the software on a mac because of the storage it takes up on macs. I don't like using PCs as much, but with software like this - it seems you almost are forced to.

**Recommendations to others considering Reaper:**

Customize and take advantage of the price point, learn everything you can until you can move onto something better!

**What problems is Reaper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The benefits of this program are that for the price of Reaper, you get what you pay for and more. You are getting a lot of customizable options that solve the problems of EASE. Ease is the biggest benefit of this program and the affordability cannot be beat considering entry level musicians don't have much extra cash lying around.

  ### 16. Reaper is a solid recording platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Internet | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 24, 2018

**What do you like best about Reaper?**

It quite amazing how easily you can add effects and various additions including simply recording. But what's even better is that the software itself is easy and clean.

**What do you dislike about Reaper?**

We disliked that ts ease of use is not so easy. We would prefer that a users manual came with the software because, at times, it can be confusing.

**Recommendations to others considering Reaper:**

No recommendations at this time.

**What problems is Reaper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating videos and audio for short commericials in a marketing and insurance company.

  ### 17. This is a good software to record and edit audio, but consider a different product for fixing or res

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Arts and Crafts | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 24, 2018

**What do you like best about Reaper?**

Reaper has a user-friendly interface that allows you to record an unlimited amount of audio tracks per session. The layout is intuitive and customizable, with a wide range of editing and effects plugins. For a $60 investment, you get a full-fledged digital audio workstation (DAW) instead of an entry-level audio editing software. There are better programs to restore a noisy recording or remove clicks and pops from a vinyl conversion. However, if you plan to record and edit multiple sources simultaneously, this is one of the best options, especially for less than $100.

**What do you dislike about Reaper?**

This program lands near the bottom of our ranking due to the lack of restoration tools. You can build a proper restoration suite by adding multiple editing tools together, like EQ, gates and filters, but that’s a daunting task for novice users. We were able to remove a decent amount of room noise, and edit out some microphone pops from our test podcast segment, but it took significantly longer than programs like Adobe Audition that have a one-click repair or restoration tool.

**What problems is Reaper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This software is compatible with almost all third-party plug-in formats, including VST, VST3 and AU, but you may not need to buy any additional plugins because the included package is extensive. The EQ and compression plug-ins sound natural and are easy-to-use. Reaper also includes all the mastering tools to make sure your finalized recordings are at a proper volume to post online or for physical copies. We added more than 10 plug-ins to our test project and saw no signs of latency or crashing.

  ### 18. The best recording platform for voice and studio projects:

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marco D. | Independiente desde casa, E-Learning, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 05, 2017

**What do you like best about Reaper?**

What amazes me is the how clean and easy is to start and finish a voice project with this software, cause you just have to open it, click on record and then do what you do best, which is recording your voice. After that, it's just a matter of stopping the audio file and exporting it, which is also very easy to do. I have to say that it also amazes me how easy is to add any type of additional effects, such as echo, reverb, delay, etc., within seconds.

**What do you dislike about Reaper?**

Once I bought a pack of additional effects for some voices and sounds in order to make my recordings more appealing to the ear. But I have to say that I really struggled to make them work inside Reaper. This is what I hate about the software, cause there should be an option where one could just select a pack sound, add it, and then start using it. What I mean to say is: if this is the way Reaper works (it lets you do most things automatically, with a couple clicks), why wouldn´t they add this function for pack sounds?

**Recommendations to others considering Reaper:**

This software is very easy to use, and the quality of the final output you´ll get is great and can be even better if you know how to use the production and mastering tools inside it.

**What problems is Reaper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Most of the work I do for my home business is creating audios and videos for helping my customers learn in engaging ways. Reaper helps me do this task easily by giving me the tools to make and edit audio for videos and the own courses I sell, all with just a few clicks. I think that this software is the easiest to use.

  ### 19. Produce and mater songs with Reaper

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mario S. | FREELANCER GRÁFICO (HOME BUSINESS), Graphic Design, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2017

**What do you like best about Reaper?**

I´ve been user Reaper for a little while and I like three things about this software: the first is that record with it is very easy, because mainly you just need to have your microphone or guitar plugged, and then just click the "record" red button. The second is that it´s also easy to add VST effects and instruments by pointing them to the Reaper folder. The third and last thing is that adding reverb, as well finishing and mastering the song, is quick and easy if you use the upper panel and the left-side edit options.

**What do you dislike about Reaper?**

The one thing I dislike is that the software should come with a detailed user´s manual; I´m saying this because even though the software is easy to use if you have an idea of how to use recording software, it can get to be very confusing and a bit hard to learn if you´re just a musician wanting to start recording your own songs and sell them on the internet. Really, people at Reaper should include a detailed user´s guide.

**Recommendations to others considering Reaper:**

Reaper will help you record, master and produce your own songs and the quality you´ll get is great. And as with everything, you must spend many days learning to use it the right way, but I think it´s totally worth it. Also, the price is low compared to other recording software.

**What problems is Reaper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Well, what can I say? Reaper allows me to record, produce (very easily) and master high quality jingles and short songs so that I can sell them to independent entrepeneurs that want nice audio for their own video presentations and many other purposes. This is one of the easiest ways to make some money online.

  ### 20. REAPER IS ONE OF THE BEST RECORDING SOFTWARE I´VE FOUND

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Erik S. | Freelancer de Páginas Web, Program Development, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 13, 2017

**What do you like best about Reaper?**

Reaper is one of the best recording software you´ll found out there. Mainly, I use it to record songs and sell them to users on Fiverr (using my voice and an acoustic guitar), and they come out with great commercial quality. What I mostly love of this software is how easy it is to link the recording hardware with Reaper (by only clicking the software a few times); I also enjoy its click and cut tool, which allows me to erase and cut any part of the recording I dislike, in an easy way. The most amazing part is that I can easily export my files in any known audio format I choose (like WAV or MP3).

**What do you dislike about Reaper?**

As this software is a bit more complex than free tools like Audacity, its initial learning curve is a bit lengthy: if you want to get the most out of it, you need to spend many, many hours learning how to use all of the tools that Reaper has to offer, and this might be a bit discouraging for some users. Nevertheless, if you have the time and patience to do this, you won´t regret it because you´ll be amazed at how easy your recording sessions will become (and you´ll also be amazed at the high quality you get from your audios).

**Recommendations to others considering Reaper:**

The first thing I´d like to tell you is: thank you for giving the world a nice recording tool. The price you charge for Reaper is also great (and it´s great that you trust people so much that you allow us, users, to keep using Reaper because you´re sure that most of us will pay for it). Nevertheless, it would be useful if you created a special discounted price for students

**What problems is Reaper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When I record songs in order to sell them online, my main obstacle is to find professional software to gets the job done with the highest quality. Reaper solves this problem: I can record songs and audios with great commercial quality. You´ll really be amazed at the quality of sound you get: really, if you record a song in a professional studio, and then you use the same guitar and microphone to record the same song with Reaper, you won´t be able to tell the difference.

**What do you like best about Reaper?**

I enjoy the customization options and all of the built-in software in Reaper. The small amount of video editing capability is a nice bonus, as is the VST compatibility.

**What do you dislike about Reaper?**

I cannot load the platform into windows operating systems pre-XP on my oldest machine in my home studio, or into Mac pre-Operating System 10.5.

**What problems is Reaper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Simplified engineering workflows. Digital Audio Workstation MIDI sequencing solutions that save time, hard drive space, processing power, and my bandwidth.

**What do you like best about Reaper?**

Reaper (or REAPER as they like to say) has never disappointed me with its stability, performance, feature set, and flexibility. It does everything I could ask for, and much more. As my usage has gotten more advanced over the years, Reaper has kept pace just fine. And the price can't be beat!

**What do you dislike about Reaper?**

There is honestly almost nothing I can think of. I've had a couple tiny features that I've wished were included, but they were SUPER niche ideas so I'm not disappointed that they're not included. (And at least one of them was covered when I discovered SWS Extensions; look it up if you're a Reaper user!)

**Recommendations to others considering Reaper:**

The free trial is unrestricted and I don't think it has a time limit either. Download it and try it!

**What problems is Reaper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I've mixed and mastered music. I've produced podcasts and online audio-based products. I've generated assets for music instruction web apps. Like I said above, Reaper has always delivered!

Reaper allows you to evaluate indefinitely and at some point, you'll be happy to pay the measly fee to get rid of the reminder when you open the program! very powerful software and allows you to tailor it to your personal style and needs completely! very impressed.

**What do you dislike about Reaper?**

Given the amount you can customise, it can occasionally be a little confusing exactly how to perform a certain task.

**Recommendations to others considering Reaper:**

Considering the price tag, I'd definitely recommend Reaper to anyone looking to start working with audio software.

**What problems is Reaper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A great bit of software to get any one started or business in Audio editing or productions

This is the best priced, full feature DAW I've come across. I did a lot of research before I decided which DAW to purchase, and Reaper had the most features at the best price.

**What do you dislike about Reaper?**

I haven't run across anything I don't like. However, I'm not a power user. I primarily use this for recording and editing podcasts, as it is more than capable of doing that (and more).

**Recommendations to others considering Reaper:**

Reaper has full features, is constantly making improvements, and is a relatively low cost product, especially compared to many competitors.

**What problems is Reaper solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Reaper to record and edit podcasts. I can record direct to my hard drive, edit, then export as a WAV or mp3 file.
