"Effortless Remote Work and Seamless Integration"
5/5
What do you like best about 8x8 Work?

I love that 8x8 Work allows our users to connect from anywhere in the world, which is fantastic for our hybrid users as they no longer need to use any third-party systems to connect. The mobile app is great too. Since we started using 8x8 Work, support tickets for connection issues and poor speech quality have reduced significantly, which means our IT administrator can focus on more business-critical tasks. The roll-out was effortless with all software being customer-facing and easy-to-follow guides for every aspect of deployment. Our staff have had nothing but good words to say about 8x8 Work and mention how much easier it has made their day-to-day jobs. We can administrate the system ourselves, allowing for quick changes, which was challenging with our old system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?

The amount of software updates can sometimes be too frequent. We have deployed the .msi installer, which means our IT administrator needs to check for software updates and push these out to Users. It would be good if we could be notified via email when a new version of software has been released so that we don't need to be checking for a later version. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Alison Stewart of 8x8 Work

Hi Chris, Thank you for the glowing feedback! We're thrilled 8x8 Work has streamlined your hybrid operations and reduced IT support tickets. Your suggestion about email notifications for software updates is excellent — we'll pass that along to our team. We truly appreciate your recommendation!

"Stable and Intuitive, Enhances International Calling"
5/5
What do you like best about 8x8 Work?

I like using 8x8 Work for calling customers from work. It allows us to have a German office number even if we're not there, which is a great feature. The system is fantastic; you just put the phone number in, and it dials straight away. Even when you put the international dialing code, it reduces it, which speeds up the whole process of doing an international call and makes it much quicker and easier. It's a really good phone system, and we've also integrated it with our CRM, so we can press the call button from our CRM, and it links straight into it. I would recommend it 10 out of 10; it's a superb product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?

Setup was a little bit faffy. It wasn't straightforward to install, unfortunately. Maybe a messaging feature could be added. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Alison Stewart of 8x8 Work

Hi Alan, Thank you for the 10/10 recommendation! We're delighted that 8x8 Work has streamlined your international calls and CRM integration. We appreciate your feedback on the setup process and will work to improve it.

"Centralized Management with Room for Improvement"
3/5
What do you like best about 8x8 Work?

I like the centralized management and ease of administration that 8x8 Work provides. It saves time on day-to-day telecom work, allowing me to manage users, roles, and phones on a single platform. I appreciate being able to use it for monitoring as well. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?

It needs to do a little bit more. For instance finding ring groups people are in is a bit cumbersome. Right now, when someone reports that their phone isn't ringing, I can check their account which might be set up correctly. But when I dial their DID, it will ring to their phone, yet in the ring group, which I just spent 20 minutes finding, they are not logged in. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Alison Stewart of 8x8 Work

Hi Vance, Thanks for the detailed feedback! We love that centralized management is saving you time. We appreciate you sharing the specifics about ring groups; it helps us build a better experience!

"One Platform That Handles Team Communication Well"

What do you like best about 8x8 Work?

Business communication, team chat, Managing calls and meeting become more easier. It has been useful for remote coordination because the call quality is generally reliable Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?

One main issue is that, internet connection is unstable, due to this issue, it takes few second to reconnect, specially in the meeting time. Apart from that some setting in the admin panel feel hard to find than they should be Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"User-Friendly with Great Features, Needs Improved Call Queue Management"
4/5
What do you like best about 8x8 Work?

I like the mobile app, it's great. The desktop app has a nice interface and is easy to use for the most part. I appreciate the ability to quickly look a user up and call them directly. 8x8 Work has nice features and is easy to use overall. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?

It's really just the call queues. 'My assigned queues' is blank. But, I am a member of multiple queues. If I view 'Call Queues', I can see them. I don't know what the difference is between these. It has potential to cause confusion to other users if I were to force them off a physical phone and over to 8x8 Work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Alison Stewart of 8x8 Work

Hi Rus, Glad the mobile and desktop experience are working well for you! The confusion around "My Assigned Queues" versus "Call Queues" is a valid UX point, clarity there really matters for wider team adoption. We'll flag that for our product team, and in the meantime our support team can help clarify the difference!

"Comprehensive Communication, Needs Smoother Video Experience"
3.5/5
What do you like best about 8x8 Work?

I find the chat feature incredibly advantageous, as it allows us to communicate without needing to pick up the phone, getting messages across to staff and various groups quickly. I also think the video works great, providing a positive experience. Chat is one of the top uses for us, and it works great, making it a pretty much all-around good experience for me and my team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?

I think the video could be easier to use, similar to a Zoom or a RingCentral. Also, I won't say the initial setup was that easy. There's a lot of work to be done moving away from an on-prem system to a cloud-based system. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Alison Stewart of 8x8 Work

Hi Joe, Thanks for the great feedback! We love hearing that chat is keeping your team connected and productive. We hear you on video usability and migration complexity — we're always working to make both smoother. Appreciate you sharing your experience!

"8x8 Work - Simple, Effective and Reliable"
5/5
What do you like best about 8x8 Work?

As a day to day user of 8x8 Work, it just acts as second nature to work with. All aspects of UC are covered within the program, messaging, video calling and conferencing. Simple to use and any issues generally remain as part of firewall programming, rather than app bugs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?

When deployed within a strict FW environment, sometimes updates do not get pushed out and therefore the user experience degrades. This could possibly be overcome by an auto emailing to the end user to remind them to upgrade. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Alison Stewart of 8x8 Work

Hi Ian, thank you for the great feedback! We’re thrilled that 8x8 has become second nature for your team and improved your field efficiency. We appreciate the suggestion regarding update notifications for strict firewall environments; it’s a valuable insight as we continue to refine our user experience.

What do you like best about 8x8 Work?

It doesn’t fail like other systems. I can use WhatsApp, and that’s a big plus for my operation. It’s also very easy to use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?

There are no reports, so I have to manually count how many calls I make per hour, and that ends up taking a huge part of my time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Alison Stewart of 8x8 Work

"Seamless Integration, Clear Calls"
5/5
What do you like best about 8x8 Work?

I like having all my work contacts in one place with 8x8 Work, which lets me make and receive calls on both my desktop softphone and my personal mobile phone. The interface is easy to navigate, and calls are clear on both mobile and desktop, making it really easy and stress-free to adapt to the system. The initial setup was seamless and easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?

On the mobile application, I am unable to see past history of my SMS messages. I'd like to have historical data available to view on my mobile softphone, in the same way I can see the historical SMS messages on my desktop softphone. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Effective Call Management but Needs Backend Simplification"
3.5/5
What do you like best about 8x8 Work?

I like that 8x8 Work is cloud-based and can be accessed through an app on my phone. This means I don't have to give out my personal number when I'm out and about on the road or carry a second phone. It allows me to have work hours set and only carry one phone with me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?

The back end of 8x8 Work admin is overly complicated and not particularly user-friendly. It's not logical as to where to go to change something. It also doesn't integrate with any of our software, which would be very beneficial. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Alison Stewart of 8x8 Work

Hi Tenielle, Thank you for your feedback! We're glad 8x8 Work's cloud-based flexibility is keeping your personal and work life balanced on the road. We hear your concerns about the admin backend and integrations and will share your valuable feedback with our team for improvement!
