"Good solution for managing multiple business numbers"
4/5
What do you like best about 8x8 Work?

What I like best about 8x8 Work is its flexibility and ease of use for managing business calls across different regions. It allows our team to make and receive calls using both UK and US numbers from a single platform, which is extremely helpful for supporting our international operations.

The ability to assign numbers to specific users makes call handling more organised and efficient, especially as our company grows. It’s simple to set up and use, even for team members who aren’t very technical.

Overall, it provides a reliable, centralised communication system that helps us stay connected with customers and colleagues across multiple locations without needing separate tools or systems. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?

The setup can be confusing at first

You often need to configure extensions and settings before you can even start calling.

For new users, this can slow things down and feel complicated. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Alison Stewart of 8x8 Work

Dear Customer, Love hearing that one platform is powering your UK and US operations seamlessly — that's exactly the kind of connected flexibility we build for! We hear you on the initial setup complexity and are always working to smooth that onboarding experience. Thanks for being part of the 8x8 community!

"Simple, reliable meeting platform"
3.5/5
What do you like best about 8x8 Work?

I like how easy it is to join meetings without creating an account. The browser-based experience works well, setup takes only a few seconds, and being able to host meetings with up to 50 participants is convenient. Audio and video quality have been reliable, making it a great option for both personal and work meetings. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?

Overall I've had a positive experience. One improvement would be to add more customization options for meeting layouts and backgrounds, along with additional collaboration features during meetings Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Alison Stewart of 8x8 Work

Hi Chris, thank you for taking the time to leave a review about 8x8. It's fantastic to hear how we are helping you to teach your students.

"Seamless Communication Across Devices"
5/5
What do you like best about 8x8 Work?

I like that 8x8 Work is easy to use and that I can access it on all my devices like my phone, computer, and iPad. This flexibility makes communication a lot easier for me. It's really convenient to be able to pick up calls and make calls from my phone, especially since I'm not always at my computer or with my iPad. It just makes using 8x8 Work the easiest way to communicate. Also, the initial setup was really easy because I could use the Microsoft button to sign in. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?

Sometimes I miss some notifications or calls. For some reason, when the API is open on the computer, it's not notifying on my phone or iPad. It would be better if I could see the call on the computer, iPad, and phone. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Seamless and Intuitive VOIP for Business"
4.5/5
What do you like best about 8x8 Work?

I use 8x8 Work as the VOIP service for our business's phone provider. I love that the 8x8 Work app works flawlessly on both desktop and mobile with an easy, intuitive interface. This really helps reduce the minimal time our team spends on IT support as users find it simple and effective to make use of the application. Our switch from EvolveIP to 8x8 Work was driven by finding it to be a superior product, and the setup was easy enough for a small IT team to accomplish the cutover from one provider to 8x8. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?

We receive a lot of spam/robo calls, but I don't know if that's a reflection on 8x8 Work or just the industry in general. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Alison Stewart of 8x8 Work

Dear Mike, Hearing that the switch from EvolveIP was smooth and that IT support time has dropped — that's a win we love! Spam calls are an industry-wide challenge, but it's something we take seriously and continually work to combat. Thanks for choosing 8x8 Work and for the great feedback!

"Unified Communication Platform with Intuitive Interface"
4.5/5
What do you like best about 8x8 Work?

I really appreciate 8x8 Work for bringing all our communication channels under one roof, which makes handling calls, messages, and voicemails efficient. I find the intuitive and easy-to-use interface particularly beneficial as it requires minimal training, making it super easy to implement in an enterprise environment. The call queue feature is fantastic because it ensures we don't miss any calls, as there's always someone available to assist our users, and the voicemail option when calls go unanswered is really helpful, especially when the team is busy. It supports our tech team in providing help to over 2000 employees efficiently. Our Customer Success Team members also find it straightforward to use, even without much tech knowledge, and they've shared positive feedback. The initial setup was a breeze, as it didn't require much training. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?

One thing that can be improved would be licensing, they have three different licenses which provide different levels of access to the users. It would be a great deal if we could integrate it with Azure and manage our licensing from there. While the user interface to 8x8 is really intuitive, the admin console is a different story. They have different licensing tiers that can only be managed by the 8x8 admin console. If we could integrate it with Azure, we could provide licensing using Azure groups and manage access using policies. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Alison Stewart of 8x8 Work

Hi Sandeep, Thank you for the detailed review! We're thrilled 8x8 Work has made managing communication for 2,000+ employees seamless. Your feedback on licensing and Azure integration is noted — we're always working to simplify the admin experience. We appreciate you sharing this with our team!

"Great Option for Companies with Remote or Traveling Employees"
4.5/5
What do you like best about 8x8 Work?

We love all the options for usage: desktop phone, cellphone app, and computer app--plus even the web app. Our employees have different needs, and some have multiple needs. We love that there are so many ways to use 8 x 8. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?

We would love the ability to block phone numbers for the whole system! We get so many repeat spam and phishing calls from the same numbers. We would love this integration. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Alison Stewart of 8x8 Work

Hi Kelly Ann, Love that the flexibility across desktop, mobile, and web is meeting your whole team's diverse needs! System-wide number blocking for spam and phishing is a popular request; we'll make sure it's on our product team's radar. "Scalable Solution, but Pricey for SMBs"
3.5/5
What do you like best about 8x8 Work?

I find 8x8 Work to be a dependable solution, used across departments for enhancing customer experience and keeping work and personal life separate. The contact center is valuable as it allows customers to call one number, which routes to whoever is on shift and ready to assist. I like that managers can evaluate call recordings, ensuring correct care and accountability. This feature helps us identify top performers for promotions and provide additional training for others. I also appreciate how 8x8 Work has grown with us, as we expanded from a small team, adding more contact centers and managing phone numbers effectively. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?

Their pricing is a little bit steep, and a bunch of their features are costly at scale for SMBs. Besides the cost, I see that their AI can be improved to assist with basic issues like placing supply orders. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Alison Stewart of 8x8 Work

Dear Adam, Thank you for such a thoughtful review! We're thrilled 8x8 Work has scaled alongside your business and is driving accountability and great customer experiences. We hear you on pricing and AI capabilities — your feedback is valuable and helps shape where we invest next.

"Intuitive Design with Responsive Support"
5/5
What do you like best about 8x8 Work?

I really find 8x8 Work intuitive. I like that a lot of our employees enjoy having the 8x8 Work desktop option, which they can use either on a phone or a desktop desk phone. It's great that they can choose either option. The texting via the app on the desktop is also something I appreciate. I find it easy to contact support if needed, and they're very responsive. The desktop is very simple to use, allowing me to manage contacts, see who I've been calling, and how long I've been on calls. The desk phone option, which some people prefer for its physical feel, is another feature I like. Additionally, the support is very responsive, whether it's managing phone numbers or solving any issues. They are quick to respond when reviewing payments, billing, or calls, which I appreciate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?

i think that 8x8 is pretty solid and there are not a lot of features that I would second rate. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Alison Stewart of 8x8 Work

Hi Eriberto, Thank you for such a detailed and thoughtful review! Flexibility is everything — giving your team the freedom to work from a desktop app or a physical desk phone is exactly the kind of choice we believe people deserve. Thrilled our support team has been there when you need them. We appreciate you!

"Streamlined Communication, Superior Usability"
4.5/5
What do you like best about 8x8 Work?

I like that the platform is very easy to use, both on phones and computers, allowing for mobile and flexible use. Being able to quickly grab my phone instead of relying on a computer or landline is handy. As an admin, I can easily change user specifications, which is important. I appreciate the ability to quickly respond to customer inquiries and facilitate interaction between employees internally. Having features like ring groups and answering calls after hours is very helpful. I also like the ability to do instant messaging between employees and track phone calls, as well as the ease of contacting support. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?

not all admin features are available on my phone and i have to log into the portal. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Alison Stewart of 8x8 Work

Hi Diann, Thanks for the glowing review! We love hearing that flexibility across devices is making such a difference for your team. Your point about mobile admin access is noted. Great to know 8x8 Work is keeping your customers and team connected!

"Efficient and Easy to Configure, but Needs Enhancements"
4/5
What do you like best about 8x8 Work?

I really like how easy 8x8 Work is to use, it makes handling calls and managing our site across different departments straightforward. The configuration options are beneficial too, as they make it easier to manage sites from a distance. One of the reasons we switched to 8x8 Work from Spectrotel was because it's a cloud system that's easier to manage. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?

I find scheduling to rotate users in a ring group or call queue lacking, and the AI automated answering for calls before they get to the person in a ring group or call queue could be improved. I'd like an option to add blocked numbers in a call queue or ring group. Also, having the ability to duplicate call holiday schedules to avoid re-entering holidays would be beneficial. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Response from Alison Stewart of 8x8 Work

Hi Jesus, Thank you for the thoughtful feedback! We're glad 8x8 Work has made managing calls and remote sites so much easier. Your suggestions around ring group scheduling, AI answering, blocked numbers, and duplicating holiday schedules are valuable — we'll make sure they reach our product team.
