## 8x8 Work Reviews
  ### 1. 8x8: Rock-Solid Cloud Telephony with SMS and an Intuitive Admin Interface

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David H. | Director of Network Infrastructure, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2026

**What do you like best about 8x8 Work?**

8x8 seems to be a very solid cloud-based IP telephony provider. Over the past four years, we’ve had very few issues and practically no downtime. I really like the SMS capability and the configuration options available. The admin interface is also fairly intuitive and easy to navigate.

**What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?**

I can’t really think of any downsides, since 8x8 uses multiple redundant data centers that are strategically located across the United States.

**What problems is 8x8 Work solving and how is that benefiting you?**

8x8 phones seem to be much more stable connectivity overall than another part of our company utilizing MS Teams phones. Because our 8x8 Phones utilize a SSL certificate to authenticate to 8x8, it is easy to keep a phone working, as opposed to the competition Teams phones having to be constantly logged in to Teams in order for a physical phone to work. 8x8 work app works well, and provides a lot of functionality for the end user. Voicemail, and current status, as well as switching between physical phone and mobile/computer phone is as easy a clicking a button. Logging into call queues is also super simply with the flip of a switch either in the Mobile 8x8 work app, or within the desktop 8x8 work app.

**Official Response from Alison Stewart:**

> Hi David, Four years of rock-solid reliability — that's exactly what we aim for! We love hearing that our redundant infrastructure, SSL authentication, and seamless device switching are making a real difference compared to the competition. Thanks for the detailed and thoughtful review!

  ### 2. Seamless Multi-Device Handoff, But Inconsistent Admin UX

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bernard G. | Network Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 01, 2026

**What do you like best about 8x8 Work?**

The ability to use the product across multiple devices seamlessly. Signed in on a mobile as well as my work device. Great for handing off between them.

**What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?**

The admin section of the back end is inconsistant. There are screens where the tables are filterable, this isn't the case across all screens. Seems basic UX experience is not considered.

Simple things like a block of a telephone number across an organisation requires a user license and a clunky workaround to get this to work over multiple pbx's. This should be bread and butter simple stuff. But the web interface is quite limited on features like this. It should be controllable globally on the numbers assigned to our organisation.

The performance monitoring screens for calls never seems to fully capture what the end user is experiencing.

Exporting devices is the only way to see the mac address and ip address of a device. This page should be filterable. Instead it is limited to 60 devices until you scroll. Export is the only way around. Which is rubbish as you then have a saved doc with all device passwords not locally in the product in plain text. Security risk everytime we have to export. We have raised this via the support channels or requests but not seen any improvement in this. Again this goes back to the UX should be the same across all screens, even rarely used screens. A table page should have some mechanism to filter.

**What problems is 8x8 Work solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has eased the setup of the IVR experience heavily using the ai voice generated prompts for users when dialling in.

**Official Response from Alison Stewart:**

> HI Bernard, Great to hear seamless multi-device handoff is working well, and glad the AI voice prompts have simplified your IVR setup! Your detailed feedback on admin UX consistency, number blocking, device filtering, and the security risk around exported passwords is invaluable, this will be raised to our Product team. Thank you for taking the time to document it so thoroughly.

  ### 3. Salesforce Integration Fell Short, and Inbound Recording Options Are Too Limited

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Crystal S. | Telecommunication & Mobile Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 20, 2026

**What do you like best about 8x8 Work?**

Its easy to administer. I like that its a cloud-based phone system where users can access the features of 8x8 wherever they have internet. 8x8's uptime overall is very good. Support is very responsive by phone. However, if you ask for an email vs. phone call, they call you anyway.

**What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?**

Inpro has asked for a screen pop integration to Salesforce and after a year-long project, the integration still does not work and the project was canceled.
We would like to have inbound call recording only to comply with two party notification laws across the country and that is only available for contact center users (we do not use contact center). Therefore, we do not have call recording or sentiment analysis or any sort of call note taking capabilities.

**What problems is 8x8 Work solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are trying to work through perfecting the 8x8 mobile app for our outside sales team using cellular data. When using data for mobile users, the calls often drop.

**Official Response from Alison Stewart:**

> Dear Crystal, Thanks for the honest review! We're glad the cloud flexibility and uptime are delivering for your team. We understand that Salesforce integration experience and inbound-only recording limitations are limitations for you. We're also actively working to improve mobile call stability on cellular data.

  ### 4. Simple, Easy-to-Navigate Interfaces with All the Info You Need

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John T. | IT Professional, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 20, 2026

**What do you like best about 8x8 Work?**

I like that the 8x8 Work and Admin interfaces are really simple and easy to navigate but still give you all the information you may need for a given task. The menu titles are good categories and the settings or information I nee is clearly labeled

**What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?**

I don't like that changing voicemail greetings and recording new ones and setting the ones you want or reviewing the ones you have is a reasonably complex process, for 8x8 Admin console as well! I'd like to be able to see and review/edit/delete my recorded voicemail greeting(s) from the 8x8 app and to be able to switch between the one I want active without having to navigate a complex and time consuming phone menu.

**What problems is 8x8 Work solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It makes it incredibly easy to swap phones in and out as needed and provisioning phones is easy. Its pretty easy for the average user to get the hang of, which is nice

**Official Response from Alison Stewart:**

> Hi John, Thanks for the kind words on our interface design — clear and intuitive is exactly what we aim for! Your feedback on voicemail management is spot on; switching greetings should be simple, not a maze. That's genuinely useful input and we'll take it on board. Glad provisioning is a breeze!

  ### 5. 8x8 Great Product

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Steve M. | IT Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 16, 2024

**What do you like best about 8x8 Work?**

It's a solid product, Works very well and very intuitive to users. Installation is easy whether using MSI or EXE, both take a few minutes to install. While on phone, it can be flipped to cell phone instantly, There is also an Outlook snap in for meetings. We use it on a dialy basis and most of our folks love the products. Also customer service is top notch. We'll get a call from support within hours of placing a ticket.

**What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?**

I have not come across anything i dislike about 8x8 except when placing a ticket or support call and picking the time zone. This list is very long. If they could somehow revamp this feature and make it easier to get to our time zone that would be great.

**What problems is 8x8 Work solving and how is that benefiting you?**

At this moment, everything is working as it should. We have had issues with call center in the past, but those have since been resolved.

**Official Response from Alison Stewart:**

> Hi Steve, we appreciate your positive review. It's great to hear you find 8x8 easy to use and that the support team has been top-notch. Thank you for your feedback on selecting your time zone. Thank you for choosing 8x8!

  ### 6. 8x8 Work Makes Business Communication Simple, Reliable, and Easy to Adopt

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joseph Y. | Managing director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 31, 2026

**What do you like best about 8x8 Work?**

What I like best about 8x8 Work is that it makes business communication simple and reliable. We use it mainly for calls and team communication, and the call quality has been good overall. The interface is easy to understand, so even new team members can start using it without much training.

I also like that it helps keep communication in one place instead of using multiple tools. It saves time and makes daily operations smoother, especially when handling frequent client and internal calls.

**What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?**

One thing I dislike is that sometimes the app can feel a little slow, especially when switching between features. There have also been moments where the interface feels less intuitive on mobile compared to desktop.

Another area that could improve is customer support response time for urgent issues. Overall, the platform is useful, but a few performance and usability improvements would make the experience even better.

**What problems is 8x8 Work solving and how is that benefiting you?**

8x8 Work helps us solve communication and coordination issues in daily business operations. Instead of depending on different apps for calling and team communication, we can manage it in one system.

This has helped us stay more organized, respond to clients faster, and reduce missed communication. It is especially helpful in a fast-paced work environment where clear and quick communication is important. Overall, it improves efficiency and helps the team work more smoothly.

**Official Response from Alison Stewart:**

> Dear Joseph, Thank you for the detailed feedback! We’re glad 8x8 Work helps your team stay organised and simplifies your daily communications. We appreciate your honesty regarding app speed and mobile usability; we’re constantly working on performance updates. We also hear you on support response times and are striving to improve!

  ### 7. Best Voice Over IP

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joseph Z. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 02, 2025

**What do you like best about 8x8 Work?**

I started with 8X8 in March of 2025. I was clueless on how to get started. 8X8 customer service walked me through everything I needed, including integration with Salesforce, and a Text message marketing campaign began my journey with 8X8 in March 2025. I was unsure how to get started. The customer service team at 8X8 guided me through everything I needed, including integration with Salesforce and setting up a text marketing campaign. I highly recommend this product.

**What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?**

I can't say anything negative about it. 8X8 has exceeded all my expectations.

**What problems is 8x8 Work solving and how is that benefiting you?**

8X8 was able to integrate with Salesforce. It was a nightmare for me, until customer service worked the problem and taught me how to deal with it in the future. Also, the Text messaging capability, and set it up to connect with our website.

**Official Response from Alina Maxim:**

> Thank you for your glowing review, Joseph!

  ### 8. Reliable Multi-Office Cloud Phone System, But EOL Updates Disrupt Users

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gregg F. | IT Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2026

**What do you like best about 8x8 Work?**

What I like best about 8x8 Work is that it provided a reliable, centralized cloud phone system that worked across many of our offices and gave users flexibility with desk phones, softphones, and mobile access. It allowed us to standardize phone service across locations and made it easy for users to have a direct number without being tied to a physical phone.

**What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?**

One of the main things I disliked about 8x8 Work was the frequency of end‑of‑life (EOL) client updates and the disruption they caused. Users were regularly blocked from signing in until the desktop app was updated, which generated repeated IT tickets and confusion, especially when users were unsure whether update prompts were legitimate.

**What problems is 8x8 Work solving and how is that benefiting you?**

8x8 Work helped solve the problem of providing a single, cloud‑based phone system across multiple offices without relying on on‑prem PBX hardware. It enabled users to have direct phone numbers, voicemail, and call routing regardless of location, which was especially helpful for offices with remote or hybrid staff. This reduced dependency on physical desk phones and allowed quicker provisioning when users moved offices or roles.

**Official Response from Alison Stewart:**

> Hi Gregg, Thank you for your detailed feedback! We're glad 8x8 Work has successfully unified your offices with flexible, cloud-based communication. We sincerely apologise for the disruption caused by app updates and appreciate your feedback — we'll share it with our team to improve the update experience!

  ### 9. Powerful Mobility Features, Challenging Setup Process

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** James D. | Insurance Broker, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 14, 2022

**What do you like best about 8x8 Work?**

I appreciate the mobility that 8x8 Work provides, as I can have my office line always available on my smartphone and tablet. The call recording feature helps with compliance, and I love the flexibility to add additional lines as needed. Video conferencing is also a standout feature for me since it doesn't require any software—it's web-based—making it easy to connect with clients who don't download video conference software on their devices. Plus, the video quality is excellent. I also like how it integrates with HubSpot to track calls.

**What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?**

The admin portal to set everything up can be complex. I almost need to hire a tech person to set up the phone system, auto attendant, and other features.

**What problems is 8x8 Work solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use 8x8 Work for call compliance with recording, mobile access to my work number, easy line additions, and a virtual receptionist setup. Its mobility feature keeps my office line accessible, and the web-based video conferencing offers excellent quality without needing downloads.

**Official Response from Jeremiah Mercado:**

> Hi James! Thank you so much for the feedback! Have a great day!

  ### 10. Detailed Analytics, But Lacks Reliable Support

**Rating:** 2.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ashlyn N. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2026

**What do you like best about 8x8 Work?**

I really like the 8x8 analytics feature in 8x8 Work. It's very detailed and allows me to see everything I need to, whether that's for an individual recruiter or for a specific time period. It's thorough and easy to use. We like that it helps us track how many calls are made and how long our recruiters are on the phone, which kind of allows for healthy internal competition.

**What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?**

A big one that's pretty frustrating is that a lot of the times our texts kind of get lost in the system, but I’ve heard that's kind of common for a lot of VoIP systems. This might not be something that 8x8 Work can control. One thing that's super frustrating is that 8x8 Work support is pretty lacking. Anytime we have issues, we go in circles with support, and they end up breaking our stuff more than helping, which is really frustrating. Also, the call quality on the 8x8 app on our phones drops quite a bit. And when we tried to pair it with our Bullhorn account, it just doesn't work well. It doesn't sync very well.

**What problems is 8x8 Work solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use 8x8 Work to keep in touch with candidates and clients through calls and texts. It also helps track recruiters' phone activity, supported by detailed analytics for monitoring and healthy competition.

**Official Response from Alison Stewart:**

> Hi Ashlyn, We're glad the analytics are driving productivity and a bit of healthy competition across your recruiting team! We're sorry to hear about the support experience, text delivery issues, and Bullhorn sync challenge, that's not the standard we want to deliver. Please reach out directly to reviews@8x8.com and we'll make sure the right team picks this up properly.

  ### 11. Flexible and Simple, but Configurations Can Be Pricey

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Peter W. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 08, 2026

**What do you like best about 8x8 Work?**

I find 8x8 Work to be pretty flexible and simple to manage. Our users also seem to navigate the Windows and Mobile apps really well. I personally like using the additional options in the 8x8 app for Windows or mobile instead of the Microsoft Teams calling integration. Also, it's not been super complex to add the Microsoft calling features, and I appreciate that 8x8 has been adding to their toolset, working on more options for linking through to other services and using the API.

**What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?**

I'd like to see custom ringtones added as an option, since a few users have asked about this. Sometimes the management dashboard for admins can seem 'flat,' which makes looking for particular options or menus difficult to locate. Adding Microsoft calling features wasn't super complex, but some of the additional API options and two-way sync with write-back used to be lacking. Although 8x8 Work is adding to their toolset, you might need a more robust option if you're looking for additional feature sets.

**What problems is 8x8 Work solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find 8x8 Work reasonably priced for our 250-300 office personnel, easy to manage for admins and simple for users to navigate on Windows and Mobile.

**Official Response from Alison Stewart:**

> Hi Peter, Great to hear flexibility and ease of use are landing well for your team! Custom ringtones and a more intuitive admin dashboard are solid suggestions we'll pass along. Thanks for the thoughtful, balanced review, feedback like this really helps us keep improving!

  ### 12. 8x8 Work: Reliable All-in-One Communications That Boosts Collaboration

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sanskar T. | Business Development Executive, Plastics, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 17, 2026

**What do you like best about 8x8 Work?**

What I like best about 8x8 Work is its all-in-one communication platform that combines voice calls, video meetings, messaging, and contact center tools in a single system. It makes team collaboration easier and allows businesses to communicate with clients and colleagues from anywhere. The platform is also reliable and integrates well with other business tools, which helps improve productivity and workflow.

**What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?**

One drawback is that the interface can sometimes feel complex for new users, especially when navigating multiple features like calls, messaging, and meetings in one platform. Additionally, occasional call quality issues or delays can occur depending on internet connectivity, which may affect communication during important meetings.

**What problems is 8x8 Work solving and how is that benefiting you?**

8x8 Work solves the problem of managing multiple communication tools by combining voice calls, video meetings, messaging, and contact center features into one unified platform. This allows teams to communicate and collaborate easily without switching between different applications.

**Official Response from Alison Stewart:**

> Hi Sanskar, Thrilled that the all-in-one platform is simplifying collaboration and keeping your team connected everywhere! We hear you on the onboarding learning curve, we're continuously working to make the experience more intuitive for new users. Thanks for the thoughtful and balanced review!

  ### 13. Effortless Communication, Slight Connectivity Hiccups

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jordan P. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2026

**What do you like best about 8x8 Work?**

I love how easy 8x8 Work is to use, and the admin center is great. It helps us connect to clients and between staff nice and easily. We use it with Microsoft Teams, which is great for us as we use the entire M365 suite. Using 8x8 with Microsoft Teams helps us set up our work system easily and facilitates troubleshooting as it is an easy platform. The initial setup was very easy and intuitive, which I really like.

**What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?**

I do find that sometimes the system will just drop off in terms of the signal, or there might be an issue with one of the ring groups. Eventually, it will resolve itself, but it's quite annoying that it does that in the first place as this will disrupt the day.

**What problems is 8x8 Work solving and how is that benefiting you?**

8x8 Work helps us connect to clients and between staff easily. Using it with Microsoft Teams sets up our work system smoothly and simplifies troubleshooting.

**Official Response from Alison Stewart:**

> Hi Jordan, Fantastic to hear the Microsoft Teams integration is such a natural fit for your M365 workflow! Intermittent signal drops and ring group issues are frustrating — that's not the seamless experience we want for you. Please reach out to support next time it happens so we can investigate rather than letting it self-resolve!

  ### 14. Super Quick and Easy App with Great Google Calendar Integration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nayan L. | Senior Software Engineer, Information Technology and Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 30, 2026

**What do you like best about 8x8 Work?**

The most helpful is the Google calendar integration and voicemail support. Its super useful and super quick. The app is extremely easy to navigate and the first user experience is great.

**What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?**

The android app isnt that great, I have tried it on multiple devices (flagship and entry level), it just dosent work properly when it comes to calling. The voice crackles even at low volume.

**What problems is 8x8 Work solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I dont like to have 3 different apps for calling, meeting and chatting. 8x8 is my go to app for everything that requires even a little bit of connection centric thing. In that way it helps me a lot and it dosent charge that much as well.

**Official Response from Alison Stewart:**

> Hi Nayan, thing. In that way it helps me a lot and it dosent charge that much as well.

9:36 AM
Claude responded: Love hearing the Google Calendar integration and voicemail are making your day smoother!
Love hearing the Google Calendar integration and voicemail are making your day smoother! We're sorry about the Android calling experience — crackling audio across multiple devices is definitely something we want to fix. Please raise it with our support team so we can investigate and improve it!

  ### 15. Good solution for managing multiple business numbers

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Research | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 27, 2026

**What do you like best about 8x8 Work?**

What I like best about 8x8 Work is its flexibility and ease of use for managing business calls across different regions. It allows our team to make and receive calls using both UK and US numbers from a single platform, which is extremely helpful for supporting our international operations.

The ability to assign numbers to specific users makes call handling more organised and efficient, especially as our company grows. It’s simple to set up and use, even for team members who aren’t very technical.

Overall, it provides a reliable, centralised communication system that helps us stay connected with customers and colleagues across multiple locations without needing separate tools or systems.

**What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?**

The setup can be confusing at first

You often need to configure extensions and settings before you can even start calling.
For new users, this can slow things down and feel complicated.

**What problems is 8x8 Work solving and how is that benefiting you?**

8x8 Work is solving the problem of managing calls and communication across different locations and numbers. Before, it would be harder to handle UK and US calls separately, but now everything is in one system. It also means we don’t need multiple tools, since calling, messaging, and other communication features are all in one place, which saves time and makes day-to-day work more efficient.

**Official Response from Alison Stewart:**

> Dear Customer, Love hearing that one platform is powering your UK and US operations seamlessly — that's exactly the kind of connected flexibility we build for! We hear you on the initial setup complexity and are always working to smooth that onboarding experience. Thanks for being part of the 8x8 community!

  ### 16. Seamless Communication Across Devices

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | IT Technician I, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 24, 2026

**What do you like best about 8x8 Work?**

I like that 8x8 Work is easy to use and that I can access it on all my devices like my phone, computer, and iPad. This flexibility makes communication a lot easier for me. It's really convenient to be able to pick up calls and make calls from my phone, especially since I'm not always at my computer or with my iPad. It just makes using 8x8 Work the easiest way to communicate. Also, the initial setup was really easy because I could use the Microsoft button to sign in.

**What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?**

Sometimes I miss some notifications or calls. For some reason, when the API is open on the computer, it's not notifying on my phone or iPad. It would be better if I could see the call on the computer, iPad, and phone.

**What problems is 8x8 Work solving and how is that benefiting you?**

8x8 Work makes it easier for me to communicate with both internal employees and customers. Its flexibility to be used on multiple devices like my phone, computer, and iPad ensures I'm always connected.

  ### 17. Seamless and Intuitive VOIP for Business

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mike C. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about 8x8 Work?**

I use 8x8 Work as the VOIP service for our business's phone provider. I love that the 8x8 Work app works flawlessly on both desktop and mobile with an easy, intuitive interface. This really helps reduce the minimal time our team spends on IT support as users find it simple and effective to make use of the application. Our switch from EvolveIP to 8x8 Work was driven by finding it to be a superior product, and the setup was easy enough for a small IT team to accomplish the cutover from one provider to 8x8.

**What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?**

We receive a lot of spam/robo calls, but I don't know if that's a reflection on 8x8 Work or just the industry in general.

**What problems is 8x8 Work solving and how is that benefiting you?**

8x8 Work provides us with an official business phone line, making it easy for customers and vendors to contact us. Its intuitive interface reduces IT support time for users.

**Official Response from Alison Stewart:**

> Dear Mike, Hearing that the switch from EvolveIP was smooth and that IT support time has dropped — that's a win we love! Spam calls are an industry-wide challenge, but it's something we take seriously and continually work to combat. Thanks for choosing 8x8 Work and for the great feedback!

  ### 18. Unified Communication Platform with Intuitive Interface

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** sandeep p. | Desktop Support Technician I, Hospital & Health Care, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 24, 2026

**What do you like best about 8x8 Work?**

I really appreciate 8x8 Work for bringing all our communication channels under one roof, which makes handling calls, messages, and voicemails efficient. I find the intuitive and easy-to-use interface particularly beneficial as it requires minimal training, making it super easy to implement in an enterprise environment. The call queue feature is fantastic because it ensures we don't miss any calls, as there's always someone available to assist our users, and the voicemail option when calls go unanswered is really helpful, especially when the team is busy. It supports our tech team in providing help to over 2000 employees efficiently. Our Customer Success Team members also find it straightforward to use, even without much tech knowledge, and they've shared positive feedback. The initial setup was a breeze, as it didn't require much training.

**What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?**

One thing that can be improved would be licensing, they have three different licenses which provide different levels of access to the users. It would be a great deal if we could integrate it with Azure and manage our licensing from there. While the user interface to 8x8 is really intuitive, the admin console is a different story. They have different licensing tiers that can only be managed by the 8x8 admin console. If we could integrate it with Azure, we could provide licensing using Azure groups and manage access using policies.

**What problems is 8x8 Work solving and how is that benefiting you?**

8x8 Work unified all communication channels for us, efficiently handling calls, messages, and voicemail. The call queue ensures we don't miss calls, always connecting a user with someone available.

**Official Response from Alison Stewart:**

> Hi Sandeep, Thank you for the detailed review! We're thrilled 8x8 Work has made managing communication for 2,000+ employees seamless. Your feedback on licensing and Azure integration is noted — we're always working to simplify the admin experience. We appreciate you sharing this with our team!

  ### 19. Great Option for Companies with Remote or Traveling Employees

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** KellyAnn B. | Senior Benefit Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about 8x8 Work?**

We love all the options for usage: desktop phone, cellphone app, and computer app--plus even the web app. Our employees have different needs, and some have multiple needs. We love that there are so many ways to use 8 x 8.

**What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?**

We would love the ability to block phone numbers for the whole system! We get so many repeat spam and phishing calls from the same numbers. We would love this integration.

**What problems is 8x8 Work solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A few years ago our industry implemented a call recording requirement, which necessitated our switch to 8 x 8. We've come to really value the call recordings!

  ### 20. Scalable Solution, but Pricey for SMBs

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Adam Z. | Software Developer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 22, 2026

**What do you like best about 8x8 Work?**

I find 8x8 Work to be a dependable solution, used across departments for enhancing customer experience and keeping work and personal life separate. The contact center is valuable as it allows customers to call one number, which routes to whoever is on shift and ready to assist. I like that managers can evaluate call recordings, ensuring correct care and accountability. This feature helps us identify top performers for promotions and provide additional training for others. I also appreciate how 8x8 Work has grown with us, as we expanded from a small team, adding more contact centers and managing phone numbers effectively.

**What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?**

Their pricing is a little bit steep, and a bunch of their features are costly at scale for SMBs. Besides the cost, I see that their AI can be improved to assist with basic issues like placing supply orders.

**What problems is 8x8 Work solving and how is that benefiting you?**

8x8 Work is a dependable solution for customer experience and call routing, ensuring calls reach available staff. Managers can review call recordings to ensure quality service, promote effective reps, and provide training, bringing accountability.

**Official Response from Alison Stewart:**

> Dear Adam, Thank you for such a thoughtful review! We're thrilled 8x8 Work has scaled alongside your business and is driving accountability and great customer experiences. We hear you on pricing and AI capabilities — your feedback is valuable and helps shape where we invest next.

  ### 21. Intuitive Design with Responsive Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eriberto C. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 21, 2026

**What do you like best about 8x8 Work?**

I really find 8x8 Work intuitive. I like that a lot of our employees enjoy having the 8x8 Work desktop option, which they can use either on a phone or a desktop desk phone. It's great that they can choose either option. The texting via the app on the desktop is also something I appreciate. I find it easy to contact support if needed, and they're very responsive. The desktop is very simple to use, allowing me to manage contacts, see who I've been calling, and how long I've been on calls. The desk phone option, which some people prefer for its physical feel, is another feature I like. Additionally, the support is very responsive, whether it's managing phone numbers or solving any issues. They are quick to respond when reviewing payments, billing, or calls, which I appreciate.

**What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?**

i think that 8x8 is pretty solid and there are not a lot of features that I would second rate.

**What problems is 8x8 Work solving and how is that benefiting you?**

8x8 Work helps our company reach customers through voice and text, allowing mass text messaging to coordinate appointments effectively.

**Official Response from Alison Stewart:**

> Hi Eriberto, Thank you for such a detailed and thoughtful review! Flexibility is everything — giving your team the freedom to work from a desktop app or a physical desk phone is exactly the kind of choice we believe people deserve. Thrilled our support team has been there when you need them. We appreciate you!

  ### 22. Streamlined Communication, Superior Usability

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Diann P. | VP Finance and Accounting, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 20, 2026

**What do you like best about 8x8 Work?**

I like that the platform is very easy to use, both on phones and computers, allowing for mobile and flexible use. Being able to quickly grab my phone instead of relying on a computer or landline is handy. As an admin, I can easily change user specifications, which is important. I appreciate the ability to quickly respond to customer inquiries and facilitate interaction between employees internally. Having features like ring groups and answering calls after hours is very helpful. I also like the ability to do instant messaging between employees and track phone calls, as well as the ease of contacting support.

**What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?**

not all admin features are available on my phone and i have to log into the portal.

**What problems is 8x8 Work solving and how is that benefiting you?**

8x8 Work helps us quickly respond to customer inquiries and facilitates seamless internal employee communication. It's easy to use across devices, allowing us to answer calls on phones or computers and manage ring groups efficiently, ensuring smooth operations even after hours.

**Official Response from Alison Stewart:**

> Hi Diann, Thanks for the glowing review! We love hearing that flexibility across devices is making such a difference for your team. Your point about mobile admin access is noted. Great to know 8x8 Work is keeping your customers and team connected!

  ### 23. Efficient and Easy to Configure, but Needs Enhancements

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jesus J. | Help Desk Supervisor, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2026

**What do you like best about 8x8 Work?**

I really like how easy 8x8 Work is to use, it makes handling calls and managing our site across different departments straightforward. The configuration options are beneficial too, as they make it easier to manage sites from a distance. One of the reasons we switched to 8x8 Work from Spectrotel was because it's a cloud system that's easier to manage.

**What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?**

I find scheduling to rotate users in a ring group or call queue lacking, and the AI automated answering for calls before they get to the person in a ring group or call queue could be improved. I'd like an option to add blocked numbers in a call queue or ring group. Also, having the ability to duplicate call holiday schedules to avoid re-entering holidays would be beneficial.

**What problems is 8x8 Work solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use 8x8 Work for handling calls, managing call queues, making remote site management easy, and automating voicemail with messages.

**Official Response from Alison Stewart:**

> Hi Jesus, Thank you for the thoughtful feedback! We're glad 8x8 Work has made managing calls and remote sites so much easier. Your suggestions around ring group scheduling, AI answering, blocked numbers, and duplicating holiday schedules are valuable — we'll make sure they reach our product team.

  ### 24. Affordable Yet Challenged by Porting Issues

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eric B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 17, 2026

**What do you like best about 8x8 Work?**

I find the cost of 8x8 Work to be really reasonable, which is great. The app itself is pretty good, and I particularly appreciate the incredibly useful feature that allows me to create or have a robot create the auto-attendant. This tool helps make a friendly greeting within the voicemail setup, which is very helpful. Additionally, the ability to send text messages is incredibly helpful as it allows communication without giving out personal cell phone numbers, especially in today's world where cell numbers get spammed frequently.

**What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?**

Oh my god. Their porting portal is a dumpster fire. And it has never worked for me, not even once. I can't get the porting portal to ever work. Some things are intuitive, some things are not. The only issue I continue to have as far as support requests is the fact that it won't take a real email address as username unless you do LDAP integration. And I can't always do LDAP integration. So a lot of users actually request what the hell is my username well I don't remember and so I'm always logging into the portal just to figure out what's going on. But in general their support people are very nice it is overseas support but it really hasn't affected much.

**What problems is 8x8 Work solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use 8x8 Work for its auto attendant feature, which is incredibly useful for setting up a friendly voicemail greeting. The ability to send text messages without sharing personal numbers is also very helpful.

**Official Response from Alison Stewart:**

> Hi Eric, Thank you for your honest feedback! We're glad the AI-powered auto-attendant and texting features are making a real difference for your business. We hear you on the porting portal. Your input helps us improve. We appreciate you!

  ### 25. User-Friendly 8x8 Work App with Plenty of Features and Flexible Plans

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Narsing Y. | IT Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2026

**What do you like best about 8x8 Work?**

The 8x8 Work app is user-friendly and offers an ample number of features, such as call parking and the ability to retrieve calls. Fax service is also available. It also provides many plans to choose from, depending on your needs.

**What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?**

Honestly, there’s nothing I dislike about it. However, when I use the 8x8 Work app all day, sometimes a white box appears on my Windows machine’s screen. When that happens, I have to kill the 8x8 services and restart the 8x8 Work app.

**What problems is 8x8 Work solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are a recruiting organization that uses JobDiva as our talent management system. If integration with JobDiva is possible, it would be highly beneficial for us.

**Official Response from Alison Stewart:**

> Hi Narsig, Thrilled the app's features — call parking, fax, and flexible plans — are working well for you! We're sorry to hear about the white box issue on Windows and will flag that for our team. The JobDiva integration idea is great feedback — worth exploring with your Customer Success Manager!

  ### 26. Effortless Setup, Consistent Communication

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Derek D. | Office Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 03, 2021

**What do you like best about 8x8 Work?**

I appreciate 8x8 Work for its easy implementation across our organization, making it possible to set up in less than a week even after moving to a new location. It helps maintain our corporate identity consistently through all contact modes. I like the low costs involved, and I'm impressed by the nice desktop phones and the easy-to-use softphone solutions, which are great for those who don't want a physical phone.

**What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?**

The old Admin Center was better - new Admin Center is much more confusing.

**What problems is 8x8 Work solving and how is that benefiting you?**

8x8 Work makes implementation easy across the organization, maintains corporate identity consistency, offers low costs, and provides convenient softphone solutions.

**Official Response from Joemar Jardiel:**

  ### 27. One of the best softphone solution across the country

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Loganathan V. | MIS - Infrastructure Support Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 27, 2024

**What do you like best about 8x8 Work?**

I like what they have done with the smarter AI connect with their products, better admin controls and even more deeper integrations across the systems.

**What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?**

Their 8x8 mobile applications needs a bit more frequent patch updates. I hope they would improve it in upcoming days.

**What problems is 8x8 Work solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before using 8x8, we had different apps for calls, messages and meetings, this was confusing and information was often lost between tools. Having a unified platform like 8x8 makes communication smoother and faster.
With some team members working remotely we needed a reliable way to stay connected and communicate effectively across different locations. thats where 8x8 came into picture as its cloud based and remote employees can use it just like they would in the office.
Our sales and support team struggled to track customer interactions coz our tools were not linked to our CRM.
With 8x8 integration with our CRM allows our teams to see all customer interactions in one place.

**Official Response from Alison Stewart:**

> Thank you so much for taking the time to leave such a positive review! We're thrilled to hear that our all-in-one platform has streamlined your workflow, eliminating the need to switch between different apps.

Your feedback on our customer support, especially regarding technical assistance, is particularly heartening. We strive to provide exceptional service, and it's rewarding to know our team has been able to support you effectively.

Thank you once again for your support and for sharing your experience. We look forward to continuing to serve your communication needs!

  ### 28. Seamless Communication and Mobility with 8x8 Work

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Grayce H. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 31, 2026

**What do you like best about 8x8 Work?**

I really do love 8x8 Work because I'm able to transfer it from my computer to my phone if I need to move. It's super convenient since I tend to walk around a lot when I'm on calls. I love that I'm able to use it on my phone or laptop as needed, which avoids the inconvenience of carrying my laptop around.

**What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?**

In the beginning, it was a little difficult understanding the system, which might be trying for somebody starting out. But once you get it down, it becomes second nature pretty quickly. Initially, to understand how to navigate everything can be a little difficult because there's so many features, maybe too many. There's a lot of features we don't even use.

**What problems is 8x8 Work solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use 8x8 Work for seamless communication with patients and team members, even on joint calls. It's easy to transfer calls and check coworkers' status. Plus, I can switch calls between my computer and phone effortlessly, which is super convenient.

**Official Response from Alison Stewart:**

> Dear Grayce, Thank you for your thoughtful feedback! We're glad the seamless call flipping between devices keeps you mobile and productive. We're happy to hear that using the system is now second nature!

  ### 29. Efficient Navigation, Needs Better Integration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 28, 2026

**What do you like best about 8x8 Work?**

I like how easy it is to navigate between different views like call legs and call summaries, and it's great that the ring group summary is available. It's valuable to have the ability to review and manage the phone system through a singular portal. Also, once I understood the Admin Console setup it was pretty easy to access what I needed quickly across offices.

**What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?**

Honestly, I wish it was all combined with 8x8 Contact Center. It is hard to see when calls are transferred to a contact center and the end result of that call. The 8x8 and HubSpot integration setup was also pretty taxing.

**What problems is 8x8 Work solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use 8x8 Work to access clinic call data, review call metrics, and manage our phone system through a single portal. It also allows us to provide feedback effectively.

**Official Response from Alison Stewart:**

> Dear Customer, Managing clinic call data across offices from one portal is exactly the kind of clarity we aim to deliver! Your point about tighter integration between 8x8 Work and Contact Center is well heard. Thanks for the detailed, thoughtful feedback!

  ### 30. Effortless Remote Work and Seamless Integration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris W. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 25, 2026

**What do you like best about 8x8 Work?**

I love that 8x8 Work allows our users to connect from anywhere in the world, which is fantastic for our hybrid users as they no longer need to use any third-party systems to connect. The mobile app is great too. Since we started using 8x8 Work, support tickets for connection issues and poor speech quality have reduced significantly, which means our IT administrator can focus on more business-critical tasks. The roll-out was effortless with all software being customer-facing and easy-to-follow guides for every aspect of deployment. Our staff have had nothing but good words to say about 8x8 Work and mention how much easier it has made their day-to-day jobs. We can administrate the system ourselves, allowing for quick changes, which was challenging with our old system.

**What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?**

The amount of software updates can sometimes be too frequent. We have deployed the .msi installer, which means our IT administrator needs to check for software updates and push these out to Users. It would be good if we could be notified via email when a new version of software has been released so that we don't need to be checking for a later version.

**What problems is 8x8 Work solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find 8x8 Work centralizes our communication, eliminating VPN hassles for remote work. It cuts down on support tickets, allowing IT to focus on critical tasks. Our team connects globally without third-party tools, and setup is straightforward, improving daily operations and enabling quick adjustments.

**Official Response from Alison Stewart:**

> Hi Chris, Thank you for the glowing feedback! We're thrilled 8x8 Work has streamlined your hybrid operations and reduced IT support tickets. Your suggestion about email notifications for software updates is excellent — we'll pass that along to our team. We truly appreciate your recommendation!

  ### 31. Stable and Intuitive, Enhances International Calling

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alan A. | Sales Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2026

**What do you like best about 8x8 Work?**

I like using 8x8 Work for calling customers from work. It allows us to have a German office number even if we're not there, which is a great feature. The system is fantastic; you just put the phone number in, and it dials straight away. Even when you put the international dialing code, it reduces it, which speeds up the whole process of doing an international call and makes it much quicker and easier. It's a really good phone system, and we've also integrated it with our CRM, so we can press the call button from our CRM, and it links straight into it. I would recommend it 10 out of 10; it's a superb product.

**What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?**

Setup was a little bit faffy. It wasn't straightforward to install, unfortunately. Maybe a messaging feature could be added.

**What problems is 8x8 Work solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use 8x8 Work to call customers, giving us a German office number while located elsewhere. It also speeds up international calls by reducing dialing complexities. The system integrates smoothly with our CRM, making calls easier to initiate.

**Official Response from Alison Stewart:**

> Hi Alan, Thank you for the 10/10 recommendation! We're delighted that 8x8 Work has streamlined your international calls and CRM integration. We appreciate your feedback on the setup process and will work to improve it.

  ### 32. Centralized Management with Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vance B. | System Engineer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 20, 2026

**What do you like best about 8x8 Work?**

I like the centralized management and ease of administration that 8x8 Work provides. It saves time on day-to-day telecom work, allowing me to manage users, roles, and phones on a single platform. I appreciate being able to use it for monitoring as well.

**What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?**

It needs to do a little bit more. For instance finding ring groups people are in is a bit cumbersome. Right now, when someone reports that their phone isn't ringing, I can check their account which might be set up correctly. But when I dial their DID, it will ring to their phone, yet in the ring group, which I just spent 20 minutes finding, they are not logged in.

**What problems is 8x8 Work solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use 8x8 Work for centralized management of users, roles, and phones, which simplifies administration and saves time on day-to-day telecom work.

**Official Response from Alison Stewart:**

> Hi Vance, Thanks for the detailed feedback! We love that centralized management is saving you time. We appreciate you sharing the specifics about ring groups; it helps us build a better experience!

  ### 33. One Platform That Handles Team Communication Well

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vibhu V. | Manager, Construction, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2026

**What do you like best about 8x8 Work?**

Business communication, team chat, Managing calls and meeting become more easier. It has been useful for remote coordination because the call quality is generally reliable

**What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?**

One main issue is that, internet connection is unstable, due to this issue, it takes few second to reconnect, specially in the meeting time. Apart from that some setting in the admin panel feel hard to find than they should be

**What problems is 8x8 Work solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before using 8x8 Work, our team was juggling between different apps for calls, meetings, and quick updates, which created confusion and delayed communication. After moving to 8x8 Work, everything became more organized in one place. It’s helped reduce missed messages, improved response time between team members, and made remote coordination feel much smoother during daily operations.

**Official Response from Alison Stewart:**

> Hi Vibhu, Fantastic to hear 8x8 Work has brought your team's communications together and made remote coordination so much smoother! We understand reconnection delays during meetings are frustrating, while connectivity can depend on local internet, we're always working to improve resilience. We'll also take note of the admin panel navigation feedback!

  ### 34. User-Friendly with Great Features, Needs Improved Call Queue Management

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rus M. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 08, 2026

**What do you like best about 8x8 Work?**

I like the mobile app, it's great. The desktop app has a nice interface and is easy to use for the most part. I appreciate the ability to quickly look a user up and call them directly. 8x8 Work has nice features and is easy to use overall.

**What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?**

It's really just the call queues. 'My assigned queues' is blank. But, I am a member of multiple queues. If I view 'Call Queues', I can see them. I don't know what the difference is between these. It has potential to cause confusion to other users if I were to force them off a physical phone and over to 8x8 Work.

**What problems is 8x8 Work solving and how is that benefiting you?**

8x8 Work provides a summary view and ease of operations for monitoring call legs and lifespan.

**Official Response from Alison Stewart:**

> Hi Rus, Glad the mobile and desktop experience are working well for you! The confusion around "My Assigned Queues" versus "Call Queues" is a valid UX point, clarity there really matters for wider team adoption. We'll flag that for our product team, and in the meantime our support team can help clarify the difference!

  ### 35. Comprehensive Communication, Needs Smoother Video Experience

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joe A. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2026

**What do you like best about 8x8 Work?**

I find the chat feature incredibly advantageous, as it allows us to communicate without needing to pick up the phone, getting messages across to staff and various groups quickly. I also think the video works great, providing a positive experience. Chat is one of the top uses for us, and it works great, making it a pretty much all-around good experience for me and my team.

**What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?**

I think the video could be easier to use, similar to a Zoom or a RingCentral. Also, I won't say the initial setup was that easy. There's a lot of work to be done moving away from an on-prem system to a cloud-based system.

**What problems is 8x8 Work solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find 8x8 Work chat helps us communicate without picking up the phone, allowing quick messaging to staff or groups.

**Official Response from Alison Stewart:**

> Hi Joe, Thanks for the great feedback! We love hearing that chat is keeping your team connected and productive. We hear you on video usability and migration complexity — we're always working to make both smoother. Appreciate you sharing your experience!

  ### 36. 8x8 Work - Simple, Effective and Reliable

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ian M. | Senior Field Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2026

**What do you like best about 8x8 Work?**

As a day to day user of 8x8 Work, it just acts as second nature to work with. All aspects of UC are covered within the program, messaging, video calling and conferencing. Simple to use and any issues generally remain as part of firewall programming, rather than app bugs.

**What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?**

When deployed within a strict FW environment, sometimes updates do not get pushed out and therefore the user experience degrades. This could possibly be overcome by an auto emailing to the end user to remind them to upgrade.

**What problems is 8x8 Work solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Initially we were using Avaya platform with on-premise server. Moving to a cloud based platform enabled much more fluid communication and increased mobility and availability whilst not in an office environment. This has led to improvements in efficiency when out in the field.

**Official Response from Alison Stewart:**

> Hi Ian, thank you for the great feedback! We’re thrilled that 8x8 has become second nature for your team and improved your field efficiency. We appreciate the suggestion regarding update notifications for strict firewall environments; it’s a valuable insight as we continue to refine our user experience.

  ### 37. Reliable, Easy to Use, and WhatsApp-Friendly

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Telecommunications | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 20, 2026

**What do you like best about 8x8 Work?**

It doesn’t fail like other systems. I can use WhatsApp, and that’s a big plus for my operation. It’s also very easy to use.

**What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?**

There are no reports, so I have to manually count how many calls I make per hour, and that ends up taking a huge part of my time.

**What problems is 8x8 Work solving and how is that benefiting you?**

8x8 Work has helped me solve communication inefficiencies. Before using it, I had to juggle multiple tools for calls, messaging, and meetings, which made it easy to miss important information and slowed down collaboration. With 8x8 Work, everything is centralized in one platform, so I can communicate with my team and clients faster and stay more organized. As a result, my productivity has improved, delays have been reduced, and it’s easier to respond to issues in real time.

**Official Response from Alison Stewart:**

> Dear Customer, Reliability and WhatsApp integration making a real difference — love to hear it! Thank you for the valuable feedback on reporting. We are thrilled that centralizing your communications has boosted productivity and cut through the chaos!

  ### 38. Seamless Integration, Clear Calls

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Telecommunications | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 03, 2025

**What do you like best about 8x8 Work?**

I like having all my work contacts in one place with 8x8 Work, which lets me make and receive calls on both my desktop softphone and my personal mobile phone. The interface is easy to navigate, and calls are clear on both mobile and desktop, making it really easy and stress-free to adapt to the system. The initial setup was seamless and easy.

**What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?**

On the mobile application, I am unable to see past history of my SMS messages. I'd like to have historical data available to view on my mobile softphone, in the same way I can see the historical SMS messages on my desktop softphone.

**What problems is 8x8 Work solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have all my work contacts in one place and can make and receive calls on both desktop and mobile. The interface is easy to navigate, making adapting stress-free.

**Official Response from Alison Stewart:**

  ### 39. Effective Call Management but Needs Backend Simplification

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** tenielle.w . | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 01, 2026

**What do you like best about 8x8 Work?**

I like that 8x8 Work is cloud-based and can be accessed through an app on my phone. This means I don't have to give out my personal number when I'm out and about on the road or carry a second phone. It allows me to have work hours set and only carry one phone with me.

**What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?**

The back end of 8x8 Work admin is overly complicated and not particularly user-friendly. It's not logical as to where to go to change something. It also doesn't integrate with any of our software, which would be very beneficial.

**What problems is 8x8 Work solving and how is that benefiting you?**

8x8 Work assists in managing high volume incoming calls with ring groups. It's cloud-based, allowing me to carry one phone without sharing my personal number and set work hours, which is great for being out on the road.

**Official Response from Alison Stewart:**

> Hi Tenielle, Thank you for your feedback! We're glad 8x8 Work's cloud-based flexibility is keeping your personal and work life balanced on the road. We hear your concerns about the admin backend and integrations and will share your valuable feedback with our team for improvement!

  ### 40. Essential for Daily Work and Personalized Customer Calls

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2025

**What do you like best about 8x8 Work?**

I utilize 8x8 Work every day and it's an integral part of my job. I like that 8x8 Work has the ability to add contact information to my account, so when repeat customers call, their call is identified by their contact information. It makes personalizing my calls so much easier. In addition, when I have questions or concerns, the customer support reps are quick to assist and get answers for me.

**What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?**

I think one downside is that the contact information that I or my colleagues create isn't transferable if one of us gets additions to our portfolio.

**What problems is 8x8 Work solving and how is that benefiting you?**

8x8 Work helps solve the issue of who is calling and from where, and that benefits me in that I'm able to already have some information before even answering the phone. It cuts down on unnecessary questions.

**Official Response from Alison Stewart:**

> Dear Customer, thank you for your feedback! We're delighted that 8x8 Work enhances call personalisation and support. We appreciate your feedback on the limitation of transferring contact information. Your insights are invaluable.

  ### 41. Intuitive and Fast Communication Tool

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David Alejandro C. | Desktop and network consultant, Information Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2026

**What do you like best about 8x8 Work?**

I appreciate that 8x8 Work helps solve communication problems and reduces miscommunication, especially with channels like Teams and email. It's easier to reach clients via voice call or SMS. The intuitive interface makes it very easy to use, and it's fast. Plus, we don't have any spam problems with the calls. It works well across different platforms like Android, iOS, PC, and Windows. The setup was very easy and fast, with responsive support from the commercial and technical teams.

**What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?**

Nothing at this moment

**What problems is 8x8 Work solving and how is that benefiting you?**

8x8 Work solves our communication issues and miscommunication, making it easier to reach clients via voice or SMS. It's easy for users to work with, and the interface is intuitive.

**Official Response from Alison Stewart:**

> Hi David, What a wonderful review — thank you! We're thrilled 8x8 Work is cutting through the communication noise across all your platforms and devices. It's great to hear the setup experience and our teams made a strong first impression. We look forward to continuing to deliver for you!

  ### 42. Needs Modernization, But User-Friendly for End Users

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jennifer P. | End User Support Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 27, 2026

**What do you like best about 8x8 Work?**

I like 8x8 Work because it's pretty easy to use. It's pretty self-explanatory for an end user. You just open it, dial a number, and it works.

**What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?**

As an 8x8 Work administrator, it's complicated to set up always. It's not easy to find what you're looking for in order to check settings. It seems to kinda make no sense the way that you set up a phone number, and it just could be a lot easier. The look and feel of it is archaic, it looks like it's from fifteen years ago, that portal.

**What problems is 8x8 Work solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use 8x8 Work to eliminate the need for physical phones and phone lines, utilizing existing hardware to support our remote workforce.

**Official Response from Alison Stewart:**

> Dear Jennifer, Thank you for the honest feedback! We're glad 8x8 Work keeps things simple for your team. Your admin experience deserves better — we hear you on portal navigation and setup complexity. These insights go straight to our product teams. We're committed to making every experience as seamless as the calls you're making.

  ### 43. Smooth, Flexible, but Needs Text Group Features and Transcriptions and notes on calls.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Arthur G. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2026

**What do you like best about 8x8 Work?**

I like the simplistic interface of 8x8 Work. It's not overcomplicated and doesn't feel crowded, which I appreciate. It runs really smooth, making my work communications seamless whether I'm chatting or calling. Also, the initial setup was super easy, which is always a plus.

**What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?**

Yeah. I wish that we could have, like, a, a text group or, like, an inbound text queue so that, you know, if we got text to, like, a main number, as a group, we could answer those texts.

**What problems is 8x8 Work solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use 8x8 Work to avoid sharing my personal phone number and to gain flexibility when moving in and out of the office. The setup was super easy.

**Official Response from Alison Stewart:**

> Hi Arthur, Great to hear overall admin management is working well for you! The extension search issue when adding users to ring groups is a frustrating one — thanks for flagging it clearly. We'll make sure this gets raised with our product team.

  ### 44. Efficient and Intuitive Communication Hub

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Richard L. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2026

**What do you like best about 8x8 Work?**

I like how 8x8 Work helps me keep my team connected and organized by creating groups and easily identifying titles and departments. I appreciate that it offers external SMS, allowing me to message people outside the organization safely. When maintaining department organization, I really like being able to identify who is reaching out to me. I even liked the way they offer a mobile app so I can stay on top of what's required. The initial setup is self-explanatory, with no complex words or technical terms.

**What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?**

Nothing in specific, it's been very useful.

**What problems is 8x8 Work solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use 8x8 Work to keep my team connected and organized. It helps by creating groups, easy to identify titles and departments, and allows safe messaging outside the organization. Identifying who reaches me is also a great feature.

**Official Response from Alison Stewart:**

> Hi Richard, Thank you for the wonderful feedback! We're thrilled that 8x8 Work is keeping your team connected and organized. It's great to hear that the external SMS, mobile app, and easy setup have all been valuable to you. We truly appreciate your support!

  ### 45. Easy Internal Calling with Handy Presence Status

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2026

**What do you like best about 8x8 Work?**

It’s very easy to make internal calls with coworkers, and I can also quickly see their presence status.

**What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?**

The music on hold is not transferred to parked calls. Also, the admin console sometimes changes settings even when no admin has made any changes. For example, the External caller ID gets changed for no reason.

**What problems is 8x8 Work solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We needed to upgrade our voice solution to a product that didn’t require on-prem hardware. With 8x8, everything is in the cloud, so we don’t need to maintain or monitor local equipment anymore. The solution is scalable, which makes it very easy to add extensions whenever we need them.

**Official Response from Alison Stewart:**

> Dear Customer, Love that presence status and internal calling are making teamwork so seamless! The music on hold for parked calls and the unexpected settings changes, particularly around external caller ID, are definitely worth investigating. Please raise those with our support team so we can get to the bottom of it quickly!

  ### 46. Customizable and Accessible Anywhere

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Noelle P. | Hospital Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 18, 2026

**What do you like best about 8x8 Work?**

I like how it is customizable and can be accessed from outside of the office

**What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?**

Although the customization is great, I find it a little confusing at times, could be more user friendly for people who aren't tech savy

**What problems is 8x8 Work solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ability to adjust our open hours, also the email transcripts I receive as manager are very helpful. The recordings are a tremendous training tool as well

**Official Response from Alison Stewart:**

> Hi Noelle, Great to hear the flexibility and remote access are working well for your team! Making customization more intuitive for non-technical users is valuable feedback we'll pass along. And it's brilliant that call recordings and email transcripts are powering your training and management, exactly what we love to hear!

  ### 47. Streamlines Call Management, Excellent Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Christian S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2026

**What do you like best about 8x8 Work?**

I like how 8x8 Work allows us to take a large number of calls from different numbers and route them all into one phone line that can be easily managed. The customer service is really great if you ever have any issue. They are very helpful and will solve whatever the problem is. I also found the initial setup to be very simple.

**What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?**

The spam number blocking leaves a lot to hope for, because it's a lot of different phone numbers all being routed into one number. So when I block a spam call, they can just call on one of our other lines, and it is still able to get through.

**What problems is 8x8 Work solving and how is that benefiting you?**

8x8 Work lets us take many calls from different numbers and route them into one manageable line.

**Official Response from Alison Stewart:**

> Dear Christian, Thank you for the great feedback! We're happy 8x8 Work is streamlining your call management, and our support team has been helpful. We sincerely hear your concerns about spam blocking and will share your feedback with our team to help improve it!

  ### 48. Decent VOIP Solution with Billing Challenges

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Salim R. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 22, 2026

**What do you like best about 8x8 Work?**

I use 8x8 Work for helpdesk IT purposes, and I like that it provides VOIP instead of relying on physical phones. The feature that allows us to sync 8x8 Work with Teams is particularly helpful. Additionally, having the capability to manage users effectively is something I appreciate about the software.

**What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?**

The billing process didn't cancel the unwanted licenses in time, which was frustrating. The team handling that part really needs to do their job better. The initial setup wasn't easy, according to my team, though they eventually figured it out.

**What problems is 8x8 Work solving and how is that benefiting you?**

8x8 Work replaces physical phones with VOIP, and we can sync it with Teams. I can manage the users effectively.

**Official Response from Alison Stewart:**

> Dear Salim, Thank you for the positive feedback on our Teams integration and user management! We sincerely apologize for the billing and setup frustrations — that's not the experience we want for you, and we're committed to inproving the process.

  ### 49. Simplified Communication with a Solid Mobile App

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jacob M. | Technical Support Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 06, 2026

**What do you like best about 8x8 Work?**

I really like using the mobile app of 8x8 Work and prefer it over a desk phone any day. As a support rep, I find the SMS features excellent. Additionally, the setup process was a lot easier than I anticipated and much simpler than using our previous Cisco system.

**What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?**

The only thing that I think could be improved is the Faxing, but it's E Fax and it's not the most reliable.

**What problems is 8x8 Work solving and how is that benefiting you?**

8x8 Work helped us replace a complex system and I love the mobile app, preferring it over a desk phone. The SMS features are excellent for my role as a support rep.

**Official Response from Alison Stewart:**

> Dear Jacob, Thrilled the mobile app and SMS features are making your support work so much smoother — and great to hear the switch from Cisco was easier than expected! We take your point on eFax reliability and will pass that feedback along. Thanks for being such an enthusiastic advocate for the platform!

  ### 50. Effortless Call Management, Seamless Mobile Integration

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dawn J. | Director of Nursing, Health, Wellness and Fitness, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 15, 2025

**What do you like best about 8x8 Work?**

I like the ease of integrating the system on my cell phone with 8x8 Work that allows me to receive calls when I'm away from my desktop. Since I'm often running around in the office and can't sit at my desk all the time, having my cell phone with me ensures that I'm always available if anyone is trying to reach me. Also, the initial setup was very easy with assistance from the IT team.

**What do you dislike about 8x8 Work?**

Wearing a headpiece is not comfortable. I use earbuds but the sound is not as good. Earbud quality that is specific for 8x8. The headset in general is not comfortable.

**What problems is 8x8 Work solving and how is that benefiting you?**

8x8 Work allows my company to receive calls through computers rather than traditional phone lines, which is very helpful for intercompany communication.

**Official Response from Alison Stewart:**

> Hi Dawn, thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear you have had issues with 8x8. We'd like to help you with so please let us know your issues by emailing reviews@8x8.com.
