Their availability and "bend over backward" approach. We were using them for staff augmentation of infrastructure services and one of the techs was struggling with an Exchange issue. 7 Layer brought in an Exchange expert level tech to assist their infrastructure person through the issue. They don't provide all areas of need that I have for technical resources. I am responsible for Service desk and application support. Which are lower level resources. 7 Layer focuses on the technical needs that are high level (and higher cost) than PC support or Application support. Recommendations to others considering 7 Layer Solutions: If you are a small business and just want someone to take the technical services off your hands or if you are an enterprise that needs staff augmentation or somewhere in the middle, 7 Layer's market approach has something to fit your need. If I have a need related to Microsoft Cloud, such as Azure or O365, they are my goto vendor for assistance. They were both able and willing to grow and adapt to our business needs. We started with them over eight years ago, when we had fewer than 50 employees in a single office. That said, I think they could be more proactive during our quarterly reviews by suggesting new technologies or strategies that align with our growth and the changes happening within our business. In hindsight, I would set the schedule upfront and commit to having the right stakeholders attend each session to ensure we stay aligned and can implement new ideas in a timely manner. What problems is 7 Layer Solutions solving and how is that benefiting you? 7 Layer Solutions manages our entire IT and cybersecurity infrastructure, including the setup and termination of our employees’ laptop and tech-stack environments. Our firm is primarily remote-based, with hundreds of employees across the US. They’ve done a fantastic job developing a state-of-the-art technology environment for us, so we benefit from solid uptime and avoid business disruptions or security incidents. Resources could come in and hit the ground running with many tasks thrown at them, this made reaching project timelines much easier from a management point of view, as there was little delay in getting the resources up to speed. I feel like 7 Layer Solutions is a trusted partner, especially when it comes to getting questions answered about software and dealing with security issues. They provide IT solutions including software and provisioning laptops for new employees, which is super crucial for a mostly remote company like ours to have a centralized place that manages everything. They are quick to respond whenever I need IT services, and issues are always handled relatively quickly. We feel assured that we will have the support we need when we need it from technicians that are very skilled.
