"500px Review"

What do you like best about 500px?

I mainly use 500px as a use of inspiration. It is great once you have built a hub of great photographers to follow as then you get to see a lot of content. I have also started to upload my own photos which is great. However I think i need more content. At my company we host events, and we have also used 500px to get an image as our background image which is quite cool too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about 500px?

Honestly as an inspiration site, 500px is incredible I use a few others which i think are better as the upload more diverse artwork, however as 500px is only for photography you can't hold it against them. As a photographer, uploading work isn't as great, as I feel you have to sell yourself to be seen, and it would be cool to get found randomly and become appreciated. Just take some time to discover some photographers that can inspire you to upload your own photos. Or ones that you enjoy to use as inspiration or purchase their work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is 500px solving and how is that benefiting you?

For our company as i said before, we host events, and we actually used a photo from a photographer on 500px as our holding image. Which i think is great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about 500px?

I like the way the information (and pictures of course) is organized within the portal so you can easily search and preview the pictures, follow people, and make comments on every photo. An easy management platform and a straightforward solution for sharing content to the photo fanaticals out there Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about 500px?

Maybe, you should have the option to allow downloading small batches of photos (2,4 per month) so people get interested in what they get for free and might be more eager to subscribe to get more pictures. Also, make a connection to publish content and share content on another social networks (not onle FB, Twitter, or Instagram). I'm not sure about it but I guess you have an API to techie guys can integrate solutions with 500px to make more extensible the service offered Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering 500px:

I would like they give it a shot by using the free service and then, upgrade to a paid version. This way, they can fully feel the pleasure of having a cloud-based photo service without any hassle on managing it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is 500px solving and how is that benefiting you?

Showcasing: Since 500px has a lot of people around the site (~13M monthly), there's a good exposure that my photos/work/services can be shown to a broader audience, that way I can have more business coming in and making more profits for my showcase on 500px Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about 500px?

500px is one of the best Photography Community I ever joined. Simply it is powerful than alternatives like Flickr or Photobucket. I'm a 500px Pro user that comes with unlimited uploads and awesome customer support priority. It gives me an Ad free experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about 500px?

I don't think everyone will ready to spend $2.99 USD/mo on a Photography Community. Here Flickr beats 500px as it comes with 1TB of storage space for free for all users. Another feature I dislike on 500px is it only allows 7 uploads per week. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering 500px:

2 days back 500px announced that they will no longer allow photographers to license their photos under a Creative Commons license. Lets see what happen in future. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about 500px?
