What do you dislike about 3Play Media?
The 3Play Platform is great, but some of the functionality needs some polishing. For example, the people that review the audio for closed captioning sometimes are not able to understand a word of phrase and will flag those words for client review. Sometimes when trying to sort by the # of flags the system is not able to properly show them. And sometimes the info panels get frozen on the page and do not go away. The only other dislike would be the high cost of translating content to another language – I can't say that they are higher than their competitors, but my perception was that the price was higher than we were willing to pay. Recommendations to others considering 3Play Media:
If you're looking for a strong business partner to help you with your closed captioning or transcription needs, 3Play Media has been the best I've found. Our account manager is easy to communicate with and fairly quick to respond. In addition, their onboarding is comprehensive. In my experience of working with them, I don't think you'll be disappointed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What problems is 3Play Media solving and how is that benefiting you?
The biggest problem we went into our relationship with 3Play Media for was our need to be a more inclusive organization and provide all of our video users the ability to engage with our content. Not only is closed captioning mandated by countless accessibility laws in North America, but it's the right thing to do so that all of your users, regardless of impairment, can engage with your brand. 3Play Media has allowed us to be compliant with these accessibility laws while also helping us to engage further with potential customers and clients.
