Control tools:
3ds max has one of the best control tools that can help someone to sculpt almost anything. With the vertex tools and the polyline edit function we can create almost any complex geometry.
Rendering Plugin:
Default rendering is equipped with almost every thing that is needed for the process. And on the other side we can use any other 3rd party rendering engine very easily, Like V-ray, Corona renderer etc.
Viewport tools:
The four viewport tools helps in viewing the model from each and every angle. The movement and selection tools in the 3ds Max are quite easy to operate. The keyboard shortcuts are almost near to each other so one can memorize and use them efficiently. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
UI: Like other software's of Autodesk, 3ds max doesn't have that much of robust look and feel, Its all blackish and dark, although it has themes for it, like the light one, but it doesn't complete the work efficiently. The tools are sometimes embedded deep inside other menus, which then get difficult to operate with.
Selection: Selection of vertexes and segments can be made more efficient, Right now it is very tough to select the vertex and the segments when your model is complex. A software's really power comes up when the complex model comes up. 3D max need to work on UI and other selection tools to let people use it more easily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
