Not the best software for animation, dummies instead of joints is a useless peculiarity that limits compatibility and introduces potential problems. Max script is not so bad, but the documentation about it is very poor. The deformers system is very slow and frustrating to use, I still can't believe that I have to create a deformer just to view the model UVs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The user interface is very easy to use and not too overwhelming. The modifiers are easy to operate and are very effective. Max with Vray plugin does some really good renders, very realistic and great for Architectural projects or interior design or game development.
