All extensions get all features for the edition selected, and there is no fee for each extension, ring group, queues, etc. No nickel and dime. They are also constantly improving the product with major releases every year.

  ### 15. A complete IP PBX Solution

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Banking | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 24, 2020

**What do you like best about 3CX?**

We have been using 3CX for almost 10 years and I can say that there has been an enormous improvement with the product.

Some of the advantages of using 3CX from my point of view are as follow:

1-It is licensed based on concurrent calls not the number of extensions
2-Large number of web meeting participants is already included in all licenses
3-No additional fee for web meeting and cellphone app
4-easy installation on-premises and cloud
5-Easy to maintain
6-easy to train end users

**What do you dislike about 3CX?**

If I want to list cons about 3CX, will be as follows:

1-So many updates
2-New updates do not respect the previous versions' features
3-Some features remove in the new releases while the client has been already using them
4-So many changes in user interfaces cause that end-user to lose trust in the product
5-even after all years of developments, the product is not mature enough and it constantly keeps changing

**What problems is 3CX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The 3CX phone system is ideal for small to medium companies with less than 100 users and locations in the same geographical regions. It cannot replace Trading Systems or users who are used to use CUCM.

If the client meets the criteria for using 3CX meaning no special requirement, 3CX would be the easiest and the most cost-effective solution.

Users with tight budget would love 3CX as an all-in-one solution.

  ### 16. Perfect product for communications and phones

mobiles Apps,

Cloud VoIP, multisite VoIP, webmeeting

**Official Response from Tamara Naudi:**

  ### 17. 3cx is the best phone system on the market

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 13, 2020

**What do you like best about 3CX?**

The licensing is affordable. Plus the tech just works. No fussing around fighting with systems to get everything working.

**What do you dislike about 3CX?**

The support could be better but the forums are very helpful. I've heard others struggle with getting answers out of support but we haven't had to use it at this point.

**Recommendations to others considering 3CX:**

Find a good authorized 3cx reseller so they can guide you through the process of switching to 3cx.

**What problems is 3CX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We saved over $75k by moving to SIP channels from traditional analog phone lines. The customization available in 3cx is also great. We have found some pretty innovative ways of using the call flow designer.

**Official Response from Tamara Naudi:**

> Thank you for your detailed response.

  ### 18. 5 years in 500 extensions we're big fans.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dale S. | Network Admin, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 13, 2020

**What do you like best about 3CX?**

Easy to use and configure. Excellent reliability. Great Value.

**What do you dislike about 3CX?**

I wish I could have unique music on hold for each of my 35 locations. I wish it handled fax extensions differently. Not complaints, just wishes.

**What problems is 3CX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Moving from a super reliable Avaya Definity G3. We cut out telcom expenses to about 15%. We gained more control and of course the amazing feature set of 3CX.

**Official Response from Tamara Naudi:**

> Thank you for your feedback, we will look into your wishes :-)

  ### 19. 3cx Changed our Telephony Experience

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Insurance | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 26, 2020

**What do you like best about 3CX?**

Management and Visibility across all extensions.

**What do you dislike about 3CX?**

When having two trunks and assign the same extension to both trunks editing an extension removes one extension from a trunk.

**What problems is 3CX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are users coming from Asterisks/Freepbx the move is one of the best yet.

**Official Response from Tamara Naudi:**

> Thank you for your feedback. With regards to your issue with extensions - Please note that this is a bug which will be fixed in next update

  ### 20. Offers a lot of feature at a competitive price

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 13, 2020

**What do you like best about 3CX?**

3CX is very easy to install, manage, and maintain. There is an academy section on the website that contains many tutorials and educational articles. They also have a forum that anyone can ask questions about 3CX issues and members and staff help users with their experiences.
The pros can be listed as follow:
1-Easy to Install
2-Easy to manage
3-Extensive feature list
4-Low licensing fee
5-can run in a small VM
6-The phone system works great
7-It delivers whatever it promises to deliver with no bug!

**What do you dislike about 3CX?**

Although 3CX offers many great features, it has some downsides as well.
The cons are as follow:
1-Too many updates
2-Some updates remove features which were available in last releases
3-List of supported hardware is very limited
4-However, you have to pay for the maintenance annually, it provides very little to zero support from 3CX
5-3CX support is not helpful based on my 5-year+ experience of dealing with them
6-Lack of enterprise features such as Barge-in on ip-phones
7-Even though 3CX has been around for 15+ years, it seems like a startup with an immature product that needs constant update and development
8-3CX changes user interface in new updates which is very annoying for end users. It requires re-training the users

**Recommendations to others considering 3CX:**

This is a very cost-effective, easy to manage, and robust phone system for small businesses with no special or complicated requirements.
It delivers what it promises and it never has a bug (maybe missing features but never a bug).

**What problems is 3CX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This phone system is ideal for small size businesses that don't want to break the bank over their phone system. When there is a client who doesn't need advanced features and has a tight budget, I would suggest them to use 3CX.

  ### 21. 3CX_Review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Public Relations and Communications | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 13, 2020

**What do you like best about 3CX?**

The interface and usability of the console
The reporting feature that is built-in
Ease of use
Training available

**What do you dislike about 3CX?**

Some random issues with 3CX app. Also, the dashboard could involve more details about the usage statistics

**What problems is 3CX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Internal as well as external communications. Also, as a part of work from home, our users were able to use the 3cx app on their phones.

**Official Response from Tamara Naudi:**

> Thank you for your feedback regarding the app.

  ### 22. 5+ Years Installing and Supporting 3cx

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John H. | President, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 11, 2020

**What do you like best about 3CX?**

The flexibility of its deployment and agnostic use of SIP Trunks and hardware

**What do you dislike about 3CX?**

The technical support really needs some work. This has been a point of contention since day 1, 5 years ago and has really never improved. The staff there are difficult to work with and often are very unhelpful. Extremely unhelpful would be best described. Almost instructed to be as unhelpful as they are. We have basically had to learn on our own through trial and error with very little manufacturer provided backing and support through questions and issues.

**Recommendations to others considering 3CX:**

Find an integrator or partner that can help you with deployment and questions along the way before you start out with 3cx either as an integrator / installer or for in house use. This will save you a lot of headache and hours wasted on finding answers that someone else has already been through before you have. The price of entry and the features are the best attributes to 3cx but plan carefully before going live.

**What problems is 3CX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cost of entry barriers are the biggest sell point. We can deploy a system for near close to what normal ISP or Telco is charging for standard POTS lines with old key style PBX systems. This is the biggest win in my book for 3cx.

  ### 23. 3CX is easy to setup and runs from the cloud or on-site

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Non-Profit Organization Management | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 10, 2020

**What do you like best about 3CX?**

3CX is easy to setup and runs from the cloud or on-site. The admin interface is great and can import users from Active Directory.

**What do you dislike about 3CX?**

Using the mobile app is not always successful for user at connecting calls. This is a great advantage for remote workers or people away from a desk or on the move but it can be frustrating when calls do not work well.

**Recommendations to others considering 3CX:**

Use 3CX if you want a phone system to be easy to manage and rich in features that keep improving all the time. 3CX is easy to manage and is easy for users to use on a Yealink phone, PC or Mac computer, IOS or Android. I would recommend it to anyone that needs flexibility and convenience in a modern phone system.

**What problems is 3CX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

3CX works great with our desktop phones software phone on desktops or in the Google Chrome browser with the plugin. It is easy to make quick changes to the phone system especially in the changing times we are in today.

**Official Response from Monika R:**

> Hello and thanks for your review. We're glad to hear you find 3CX easy to set up and manage, and that it's supporting flexibility across devices and locations. We appreciate the feedback on mobile app performance and this is noted as we continue to refine remote capabilities. Thanks again for your feedback.

  ### 24. Easy Upgrade & Intuitive System

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sarah F. | IT Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2020

**What do you like best about 3CX?**

The system has been really intuitive for a company of all different tech knowledge levels. It has advanced features for those that want it, but is simple for those that just need the basics. It has been a life saver in today's times of working remotely. We were able to pick up and go without missing anything.

**What do you dislike about 3CX?**

I think the biggest adjustment/learning curve from the implementation has been for our receptionist and learning her new normal on answering and transferring an abundance of calls.

**Recommendations to others considering 3CX:**

I really like the platform because it allows anyone in our organization to pick up and go. We have people using only the mobile app, people only using it on their PC, and people using a mix of desk phone, mobile app, and PC. It's great that it's so intuitive and easy to pick up.

**What problems is 3CX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We solved a need to upgrade, whether it was with our old system or something else. We have cut out a third party phone support vendor, cutting costs and the middleman. Our biggest realized benefit has been the flexibility to pick up and go from our desk to our home offices.

  ### 25. Lightweight and easy to manage

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dirck H. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2020

**What do you like best about 3CX?**

The fact that the system is vendor-agnostic for SIP phone hardware is great and allows us to try out a lot of different options. The PBX being software-based gives us hardware flexibility as well as multiple cloud hosting options that don't have to be particular to SIP. You can use almost any SIP provider for dial tone which also helps keep the overall costs down.

**What do you dislike about 3CX?**

Call reports could be a little more visually appealing and offer more options for productivity monitoring.

**Recommendations to others considering 3CX:**

Give it a try. It's easier than you think and you don't need to know anything about SIP or PBX's to set it up.

**What problems is 3CX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's very cost-effective. Not being tethered to a big IP phone system that requires you to buy their appliance, their phones, additional licenses for every little thing, it all adds up to cost savings and flexibility. We've been able to utilize the video conferencing to achieve remote orientations that would've otherwise been very costly. There is a lot that we still haven't taken advantage of. The biggest problem it solved was getting rid of POTS lines and allowing us to do so without having to get in bed with a pricey phone system. We can get phones on Amazon. Try out different SIP products like speakerphones for the conference room and do so with almost any vendor we want. We chose the perpetual license at the time and our only cost now is the maintenance. Overall very happy with our decision. It's been a win all around.

  ### 26. User - Reseller - Worked our way up - Solutions Provider (Distributor)

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stuart R. | Senior Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2020

**What do you like best about 3CX?**

3CX is a fantastic product, which is constantly evolving, the human-computer interface design makes it easy to use, both for resellers and end-users. 3CX is a great company to work with as a reseller, we have progressed from the lower levels, to become a Solutions Provider, Preferred SIP Trunking Provider, and today, thank 3CX for this opportunity by supporting a significant number of the UK resellers.

**What do you dislike about 3CX?**

There are no downsides to 3CX, it is constantly growing, and gaining market share, some resellers do not like the fact that 3CX offer free / trial licenses, to me they are not seeing the bigger picture, they are now seeing the opportunity to nurture that trial license to increase in terms of both simultaneous call count and feature set by upgrading to the Pro or Enterprise feature set.

**Recommendations to others considering 3CX:**

Look at 3CX, and you don't waste anytime looking anywhere else!

**What problems is 3CX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

3CX is an open standard SIP unified communications platform, we support a large number of 3CX resellers been different in the market place, and love helping them grow in terms of their position within the 3CX partner program, we do this by providing qualified Sales Leads, Support, and making our resellers different in a very competitive landscape. Our partners win, we win, and 3CX wins, Win-Win-Win sounds like a Happy Home for UC-Resellers

  ### 27. A fantastic solution to impower companies to run their own PBX

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nicholas M. | Systems Administrator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2020

**What do you like best about 3CX?**

The 3CX solution provides a great all-in-one solution for unified communications. The included soft client and web meeting keeps everything within the 3CX system. This allows the system admins to easily manage the whole system. Plus the consistent experience for all of the users is always appreciated.

**What do you dislike about 3CX?**

The 3CX platform is missing some of the important management features and power options. For example, there is no audit log and the admin access is not granular. So if an extension wants to make a change to the IVR or queue they also get access to the SIP trunks, backups, etc.

**Recommendations to others considering 3CX:**

3CX can definitely be a great solution for many companies. My recommendation would be to fully understand what functionality you are currently using and ensure 3CX can match it. Then see what additional options 3CX provides and see if they fit into your use case.

**What problems is 3CX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I've have used 3CX to provide a truly unified communications system to clients that require security but also flexibility in how they operate. The benefit to having all of the apps and phones fully supported allows for a smooth and simple roll out of the solution.

  ### 28. Good planning up front led to a solid communiction system for normal times and not so normal times.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Court S. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2020

**What do you like best about 3CX?**

3CX has proven flexible in our application. We were able to convert sound files and offer an automated story telling system for our patrons. During the COVID outbreak in the spring of 2020 we were able to easily transition staff to remote work by installing the 3CX app on their smart phones giving them their desk extension wherever they are. The ability to manage individual extensions from any web based computer makes life simpler and more efficient. The relative ease of recording and activating different greetings has proven invaluable during the time of the virus crisis. I like the ability and ease of running the system from a PC based operating system and accessing via browser. It is very accessible for our entire IT dept., not just a designated "phone guy".

**What do you dislike about 3CX?**

If I had to pin down a dislike it would be that some of the updates to telephone model templates override custom programming we've written into the current templates.

**Recommendations to others considering 3CX:**

Do your homework. Find someone in your industry or a closely business that uses 3CX and talk with them about what they've learned. If time allows map the system out up front. Since it's PC based it was relatively simple to setup a test system, configure all our phones, groups and routing, test most all of it before going live. On the day of going live we swapped phones on desks, booted the server and basically were operational.

**What problems is 3CX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before 3CX we had a system for offering dial in stories. It was antiquated but it worked. During the switch over to 3CX we found that with some creativity we were able to use the flexibility of the system offer the same story telling service in an integrated packed freeing us up from old hardware and obsolete methods. Among the other benefits we use is the ability for managers to easily manage and forward phones from a web interface.

  ### 29. Easy to setup -- Easy to use.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tim J. | Senior Network Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2020

**What do you like best about 3CX?**

The 3CX Administration panel has stayed consistent throughout version 9 all the way to its latest release, 16. With that said, its always been easy to find extensions, customize inbound/outbound rules, setup DID's/trunks and work with ring groups. This is by far my favorite things about the system. If I had to rank a 2nd item, the phone firmware and templates that we use is always updating, which allows for easy to push/provision firmware/config updates to the phones on my LAN. Configuring a new phone is also quite easy to use.

**What do you dislike about 3CX?**

For multiple sites where I'm hosting, I wish I had the ability to configure one central panel where I could break the extension into multiple groups, all while administrating under the single pane of glass. Configuring STUN for remote employees, especially while we've been in COVID-19 lockdown, has been been a challenge.

**Recommendations to others considering 3CX:**

If they are struggling with other VOIP software out there, I think others would find 3CX easy to use administration and overall use of phones connected through it to be. Its much more affordable than some of the big boys out there.

**What problems is 3CX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Because how easy 3CX server is to administrate I'm able to setup new phones, configure existing extension and use modern features like web client across my company. The benefits are hosting 3CX in all of my sites, means all I have to pay for is maintenance and no hosting fees. It runs on a 2 core, 8 GB VM, which is pretty lightweight for an office under 30 people. 4 Cores, 16 GB should be suitable for 100 people. In short, its very lightweight for the amount of simultaneous calls that can occur.

  ### 30. Greatest VoiP Phone System Ever

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** MICHAEL E. | Director of Information Technology, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2020

**What do you like best about 3CX?**

Whats not to like. Easy phone provisioning, supports a wide range of phones, Constantly improving it, apps for both iphone and android, webmeeting w/video support, remote control of other user computer systems for tech support and the list goes on and on.

**What do you dislike about 3CX?**

Needs more sip trunk documentation for non certified providers like ATT. I know I said non certified but lets be real sometimes you have to use such because some businesses might under contract and will need to use the service until their contract expires i.e. Att Sip Trunks

**What problems is 3CX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With Covid -19 over half of our office had to start working from home with out any prior warning, Was able to have them up and running with a full feature phone setup including video conferencing within one day. Its like they are still in the office and the ability to collaborate on day to day issues has been great.

  ### 31. VOIP Phone System Flexibility with Long Term Support Behind it - Open SIP Phone Capable

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Electrical/Electronic Manufacturing | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2020

**What do you like best about 3CX?**

Prior to choosing 3CX in 2011, I had experience with: Executone (traditional PBX) , 3COM NBX (early VOIP), and an open source SIP PBX. I chose 3CX for several reasons and those reasons still hold true today.
1. 3CX supports many options for SIP phones. Instead of being tied to one vendor, I can choose from several vendors for SIP based office phones and they are provisioned and managed from inside 3CX. If I decide I no longer like 3CX that investment can be utilized on a different vendor's phone system.
2. 3CX is simple enough and well documented that I could do all the setup and I did not need to hire a phone provider or IT company to do the work. This saved significant dollars at setup and in yearly local support.
3. 3CX is licensed per concurrent calls, not per number of phones you have. This frees me to add as many phones in our warehouse and other places without worrying about having to buy another license. This is big!
4. My ongoing costs are reasonable. I can choose to buy my yearly subscriptions to software upgrades separately from any official paid support. Most years I don't need paid support, so this is a cost savings.
5. The software is feature rich.
6. The software is activity developed and supported. Look at the releases, their frequency, and the features included. The parent 3CX company is doing a good job furthering their software.
7. You can run the 3CX PBX server software hosted or on-premise. Physical or virtual. Windows or Linux.
8. Nice Iphone, android, and softphone apps included
9. Webmeeting capability included

**What do you dislike about 3CX?**

I don't have many complaints.
- Sometimes it seems 3CX takes something that is working well (the windows helper application for example) and does a rewrite on it and you wonder why they spent the time when it was working well. But in the end (after a few releases) the resulting product is usually better than the original and so you have to trust that they do know what they are doing!
 - $$ - I looked at 3CX a few year ago for a small private elementary school and could not justify it vs a small appliance PBX from a competitor that included software upgrades at no extra cost. While it would have been easier for me to support only one platform, it was better for them to have the one time cost and so 3cx did not make sense for that smaller install.

**Recommendations to others considering 3CX:**

Consider your options. You can try the demo version, if needed, to prove out that you will be happy. If you are not comfortable with the tech side, there are reasonably priced consulting companies that specialize in 3CX.

3CX gives great flexibility since it utilizes standard SIP phones. If you don't like it, you have other options that can use the same phone hardware.

**What problems is 3CX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

- Able to support incoming call queues
- off site extensions, voicemail to email
- use both physical lines coming to our facility (PRI in our case) as well as SIP line providers. This gives us extra disaster recovery capabilities since we can fail over between the two.

  ### 32. Saved My Company Money and Time. Works As Well If Not Better Than Our Old Cisco Platform

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paul A. | Chief Technology Officer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2020

**What do you like best about 3CX?**

This has been a real money save for us. For a total project cost of less than $25k, we were able to do more than what a comparable Cisco system that would have cost well in the 6 figures. Maintenance / support is very inexpensive. We spend little if any time administering the 3CX system. What administration that is needed is very intuitive. The system is very full-featured. Not only did we replace a Cisco PBX with the 3CX, but we were also able to scrap a separate add on call recording system.

**What do you dislike about 3CX?**

The reporting features could be better That is my main complaint.

**Recommendations to others considering 3CX:**

Although the system is easy to implement, I recommend teaming with a certified reseller., This will help speed you through the implementation.

**What problems is 3CX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We run a call center along with our regular business. The previous PBX did not have these features in its standard offerings. We are able to easily handle and measure the effectiveness and efficiency of operators and schedule appropriate resources for peak calling times.

  ### 33. Perfect Voip solution for MSPs

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Elijah K. | Professional Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2020

**What do you like best about 3CX?**

Very low overhead meaning that an instance on your cloud provider of choice can be spun for cheap. The pbx express makes the deployment of the pbx just clicking a few buttons, you don't even need to know Linux (which is the platform of choice for this PBX and the corresponding SBCs). Easy to use interface so that those without experience with voip can still do basic functions, supports a decent range of handsets, web interface is terrific and lets users control a lot of features and settings, cool features like call flow designer and speech to text translation using google api. The pace of development is pretty rapid, meaning existing features get improved and new ones are added regularly.

**What do you dislike about 3CX?**

Super sensitive to firmware updates, have seen a pbx crash due to a phone with an out of date firmware causing a memory leak. Meeting features are behind more robust platforms like Teams, mobile app is improving but still has lots of room to grow.

**Recommendations to others considering 3CX:**

Make sure that you're ready to train your staff on supporting this platform before taking on a lot of business, and the networks are optimized for voip (multiple isps, managed switches, etc).

**What problems is 3CX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our clients are benefiting greatly from the ability to easily work remotely during this lockdown, without having to bring their handsets home. 3CX price points makes it easy to move clients over from antiquated hardware based pbx solutions, and to move over from other voip providers whos support suffered from growing way too fast. Also, with high availability available, and the support for softphone and mobile app, 3cx is resilient against outages at the customer sites, or even the hosting providers if you're smart about where your other instance lives.

  ### 34. Excellent VOIP phone system

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Josh S. | Network Technician, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2020

**What do you like best about 3CX?**

3CX is simple to maintain. It took a bit to setup, but their support helped a lot. The system has a wide selection of compatible VOIP phones to choose from. We settled with Yealink, and the setup process is very simple.

**What do you dislike about 3CX?**

There are countless options to configure and setup and it was a little tough to find the right documentation. 3cx did not natively support out old Cisco phones, but was able to provide custom firmware that required several steps and forum post reading.

**Recommendations to others considering 3CX:**

If you are looking for a solid VOIP system, 3CX is for you. Once setup, implementation has been smooth, and their sales/support team has provided us with everything that we need.

**What problems is 3CX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We replaced out previous Cisco VOIP system to provide local extensions for our campus. We also tie in our emergency alert system. We were also looking into an emergency alter system for fire/weather/etc. We were able to find a system that implemented alongside 3cx to meet this need.

  ### 35. Cost effective and powerful

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Roger M. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2020

**What do you like best about 3CX?**

The best thing about 3CX is the price compared to other vendors, but that's not it's only selling point. There's isn' much we can't do with 3CX. We run 3CX across lots of sites connected via SDWAN, and the flexibility of the program gives us a host of failover options. From a user standpoint, they love it. We have a phone system that can do everything they need from easy work from home to conferencing

**What do you dislike about 3CX?**

The bad is not even that bad. We have a boutique setup in the we have some retail operations that have paging/music requirements. 3CX was slow in getting back to us for solutions, but they are all addressed. Albeit slowly.

**Recommendations to others considering 3CX:**

Do the trial.

**What problems is 3CX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had to 86 our old PBX and every vendor we spoke to was user subscription based model that just did not work because we need lots of phones in our stores. 3CX's pricing model is based in reality compared to other providers.

  ### 36. This beats whatever phone system you're using!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ray R. | Moderator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2020

**What do you like best about 3CX?**

It might just be because I've had to work with other phone systems before this, but this phone system is so much easier to use and configure it's a huge weight off my shoulders. They also update their software all the time with updates and bug fixes and have excellent technical support for those really tough problems. It's a very flexible platform and I've used nearly every feature they offer at one time or another including video conferencing.

**What do you dislike about 3CX?**

Sometimes an update will break some things even though they're trying to fix others, but what software doesn't that happen with? Still much easier to deal with than some other competing phone systems.

**Recommendations to others considering 3CX:**

Work with them to see demos and how it might be the right choice for you. Their staff are very responsive and can answer any questions you may have including offering trials and good pricing.

**What problems is 3CX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Using a softphone allows greater flexibility for our clients in creating extensions, using virtual and physical phones as well as the app on iOS and Android. It ties into landlines for backup and a bunch of different SIP providers as well. This system has saved our clients time and money by being reliable and secure.

  ### 37. Like a fine wine 3CX only gets better with age.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matt W. | Senior Communication Engineer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2020

**What do you like best about 3CX?**

I have been in Telecom for around 20 years. When I first found 3CX I was astonished at how simple it was for end users and administration. It was that moment that I knew I had to get involved with them and I haven't looked back since. The product is like a fine wine and only seems to be getting better with age. Every update and release amazes me with how they listen to partners and end users in an attempt to keep fresh new usable features at our finger tips.

**What do you dislike about 3CX?**

Honestly there really is nothing I dislike about 3CX. From the simplicity of use, management and design to pricing....it's amazing.

**Recommendations to others considering 3CX:**

Look at the features and benefits, weight them against the competition. If that doesn't check all your boxes, look at how you can manage the system in-house to help save money.

**What problems is 3CX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With traditional PBX's from the time a client signs to cutover it can be weeks or months. During this time of work from home due to COVID-19 we are able to have customers on their new 3CX working from home in a matter or hours, not days.

  ### 38. 3cx helps solves business issues for our corporate clients

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** jeff c. | President, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2020

**What do you like best about 3CX?**

The abilty to seamlessly go from their desktops, to their mobile devices, to their home computers and maintain their business presence is key for our Law Firm clients. The ease in which we can deploy a remote phone using 3CX STUN provisioning allows us to have our distribution partners ship a phone for self easy install at the end user's home or office. The management capability using the 3CX Web Admin makes punching down wires and using cumbersome PBX management interfaces a thing of the past.

**What do you dislike about 3CX?**

Some users feel that there are too many nice features with the product and cannot utilize them all. A good problem to have!

**Recommendations to others considering 3CX:**

take advantage of the free licenses, then roll it out.

**What problems is 3CX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

with the ability to redundantly bridge 3CX systems across wide areas over the internet and utilize low cost SIP trunks has kept costs for our clients down to fractions of what they used to pay.

  ### 39. 3CX experience as an MSP hosting multiple instances for customer

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Colin H. | Systems Engineer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2020

**What do you like best about 3CX?**

It's very easy to deploy and keep updated if you run it on the Debian version. The GUI is intuitive and makes management a breeze. The associated costs fit the SMB space well and has great features for remote workers built in which is particularly pertinent in the current situation.

**What do you dislike about 3CX?**

There is no useful single pane management if you host multiple instances. There used to be a cloud version which gave you centralized management but that went away in more recent versions. It would be really useful to have a single place to go where you could push updates to multiple instances rather than having to manage each instance separately. Having to log in 50 different places to patch/update creates a lot of extra work.

**What problems is 3CX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As mentioned above, during the current crisis 3CX provides a lot of benefit to our customers as businesses need employees to be reachable and able to handle business calls while also staying safe in their homes.

  ### 40. Feature packed monster that is extremely easy to use and convenient for a muiltidude of industries.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matt S. | VoIP Specialist / Network Technician, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2020

**What do you like best about 3CX?**

I love the fact that 3CX is a webclient based phone system. Everything revolves around it, from the control of your phone (CSTA) to having chat, voicemail, web conferencing and also the ability to control the call flow of your extension without admin intervention.

**What do you dislike about 3CX?**

Admin features seem to fall a bit short. This is the only PBX that I can confidently say that it focuses mainly on the user and not the admin. But this is not a bad thing! In fact, it's a great quality to have considering it's robust design!

**Recommendations to others considering 3CX:**

Go for it! You won't regret the ease of use!

**What problems is 3CX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With the COVID 19 pandemic, 3CX has made it easier than ever for us to deploy hosted systems for clients that need to work remotely. It has also allowed us, as a telecommunications provider to work remotely from our home as well and support our clients to the same degree that we did when we were in the office.

  ### 41. Highly Recommended

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2020

**What do you like best about 3CX?**

Ease of management. Overall views of system status, extensions and users is extremely easy to map

**What do you dislike about 3CX?**

Lack of LDAP integration to tie extensions to users. Office hours feature needs to be present in Digital Receptionist settings rather than just trunk. A 'related items' field would be nice. We'd also like to remove the 3CX logo in more places since we're a re-seller. We're not hiding the fact it's 3CX, but we would like a little more brand customization

**Recommendations to others considering 3CX:**

Just because this is tapped as a 'small' application, doesn't mean that it's not capable. If you're looking for dialplan matching like you get in Cisco, you're out of luck, things have to be expressly designed, but almost all features we've encountered with any other product are matched in some way or another by 3CX, and there are great 3rd party integrations if you need a particular featureset

**What problems is 3CX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Almost everything when it comes to phone systems has been easier with installation of this system. We're an MSP and have deployed this in multiple places transitioning from older non IP phone systems and even from Cisco Call Manager. The cost savings are insane compared to almost any other solution. Support is quick to respond and overall this has been a great solution. The onboard diagnostics have also effectively replaced the need for wireshark.

  ### 42. Best IP Based Phone System We've Used

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Thomas H. | Licensed Realtor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2020

**What do you like best about 3CX?**

The ease of configuration, management and end user training makes 3CX the best system we've deployed to the smallest and largest of our clients. Support and message boards make troubleshooting, deploying, tweaking and administering 3CX easy and pain free!

**What do you dislike about 3CX?**

None! You won't be disappointed with 3X!

**Recommendations to others considering 3CX:**

Do it, you won't be disappointed. Follow the recommendations for using supported hardware and SIP vendors and the ease of installation, management and training will make you wish you did it 10 years ago!

**What problems is 3CX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We've solved problems from customers not getting any calls with their previous system and now not able to handle the volume of calls (which is a good thing!) to uniting property management companies in telephony on one 3CX platform from dozens of remote sites that used single analog lines.

Cost savings benefits are huge from the smallest client to the largest utilizing SIP services and consolidating multiple offices into one!

  ### 43. Cost-efficient Phone Solution

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alexander M. | IT Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2020

**What do you like best about 3CX?**

The cost savings were huge. We have many numbers with very little external usage, other than our sales staff. As such, excluding overhead on our IT department, we went from ~$35/month/line to $7/month/line pricing for hundreds of users.

**What do you dislike about 3CX?**

Missing some features that I would like, such as single sign-on, or a RESTful API access. With those features 3CX would be everything we have been looking for. Also, I wish more company branding was an option as well, even for an extra price.

Also, we had an instance where we didn't update our instance for a few months and it resulted in losing our 3cx.us domain. It caused a lot of initial hardship, but at that point we had ~20 extensions ported over and not our entire company.

**Recommendations to others considering 3CX:**

Fully experiment with it and your needs first. We use it on Polycom phones, Yealink phones, desktop soft phone, and app soft phone -- not all work to the same levels of the others.

**What problems is 3CX solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Cost and management. While cost was a reason for switching, management was another one as well. Being that we have control over easily creating new extensions, as well as troubleshooting, it makes it easier when problems or last-minute changes arise.

We really like the Web Client and Mobile App

**What do you dislike about 3CX?**

The does not see to be the ability to bulk import DID numbers or extensions. Also, there is not a simple way to create phone templates. Some features that we have been use to like Page & Announce, Remote Voicemail dial in and accessing other voicemail boxes is not available in 3CX.

**Recommendations to others considering 3CX:**

Make sure you weight the features of each system you are evaluating. If mobility, ease of setup, good documentation, etc are things are looking for, then 3cx might be the right solution for you.

**Official Response from Tamara Naudi:**

> Thank you for your feedback. The reason we offer updates for certain components (e.g. SIP Trunk templates) even if they aren't currently used on the system, is because we make sure that if at some time in the future you do decide to use them, they will be up-to-date and with the correct settings. Not all components are updated if they are not configured, only the ones that cannot be updated after their creation.
