We used them for 7 years and at one point we found a glitch in there system about charges and they guided us to create new account as we were 'legacy user' and we were not being treated in any category like '2sell' '2monetize' so we created second account, and BANG! Their system is designed to take the burden off selling your product (or service) so you can focus more on your work. They are up to date with all legal aspects and can handle all payment-related taxes so you can sell practically anywhere in the world. They have lots of currencies, supported payment methods, configurable pricing (subscription support which is the basis of our company), A/B testing, well-optimized templates for shopping carts and so on. What do you dislike about 2Checkout Monetization Platform? Their customer support used to be good. Sadly, the changes from Avangate to 2Checkout and now to Verifone took their toll on the quality of support. To give you some context, we've had major issues this year either with their API or their shopping cart and while their impact was noticeable, the resolutions were extremely slow. It's been two weeks since invoice generation stopped working and our account manager simply ignores our pleas for help - with each reply acknowledging the issue and promising that they will address this urgently but it seems we have different understandings of what that means. Meanwhile, our customers are turning to us for assistance and we're stuck. Invoice sending through their control panel also doesn't work so all we can do is direct our customers to the 2Checkout support - which, from what we've heard, replies in a couple of weeks and is usually not very helpful. We had a merchant account with 2checkout for 6 years.....then suddenly they closed the account. No information on WHY , but some silly generic email. Since March 2003 they can only handle payment through Paypal, how sad is that? Probably because Paypal is now also doing their "risk management" they will close many merchant accounts soon which they just do not like, especially in service related industries. So you have been warned, open an account with 2Checkout-Verifone and its just a matter of time when they will close it and just sit on your money. I have already seen many negative reviews on other well known "merchant services" websites and its only getting worse and worse since they have been acquired by Verifone. They have destroyed many small businesses already by closing their merchant accounts for no valid reason at all. We have been in good standing all along, no where near 0.5% chargebacks and practically no refunds. But that is not important for 2checkout-verifone, they will close your account and now we have to wait 180 days to receive the remaining amount of money in our account. The worst thing is that we have read already that many other businesses were not able to get their money back after that 180 waiting period. In general, all restrictive actions we take are to protect the partners and the customers from any negative scenarios. The most common reasons for closing accounts are generated by fraud scenarios, elevated chargeback rates, and consequences of banking regulations, among others. More details can be found on the Terms of Service that you agreed to when you signed up, where you can find an overview of cases where closures may be enforced. Please note that these funds are held to cover any potential refunds or chargebacks that may be received during this timeframe, and prevent your account balance from becoming negative. As long as there are no issues it works fine, but as soon as there are issues expect no support. I submitted refunds for the first time and some never got processed. Email support kept repeating the same story that they had issues and were using a third party to process. 2 months later no update and no refunds for my customers. I finally found a phone number and the phone rep was very rude and just sat on the phone not talking to me unless I asked him questions. What kind of support is that. How can you hire support who act like they don't want to talk to you and it is not their job to help you? This is the last straw and I cannot handle this company anymore. Firstly, timezones for invoices are locked to TRT (Turkey) which creates a nightmare for financial recordkeeping which we can compensate for with a bit of extra work, so we've been bearing with 2Co till now. However, over 2 weeks ago, we used the extra security feature recommended to us by 2Co in which only the IP Address provided by our company can access the 2Co merchant account. After turning on the feature, we were never allowed back in 2Co, into OUR OWN ACCOUNT. Using the same environmental conditions we used to turn on the feature in the first place (same user, same computer, same WiFi router connection) we keep getting an error that "You are not allowed to login from this IP address". We've contacted merchant support for over 2 weeks now and we've just been put in their hot potato CS system where they just list arbitrary tiers (You're case is now level 3 tier of importance) and pass the case to a different person with no actual results. WE'RE STILL LOCKED OUT. We've used the service for over $100k of transactions (which amounts to at least $2k in 2Co transactional fees) and yet they are offering no support, and no way to get back into our account. This is a huge problem because: 1. We cannot access OUR funds, for OUR products that WE sold. 2. A customer needs to get a refund from 2Co and is waiting for nearly 3 weeks to get their money back, which DAMAGES OUR COMPANY BRAND AND IMAGE. 2Co, are you willing to be liable for damages you're causing our company? This is the worst customer support I've ever received. I tried to renew antivirus software from Malwarebytes using the same business credit card I purchased the original license only to be told this time the charges will not go through, 2Checkout who processes those transactions would only tell me “Call your bank". I called the bank multiple times and they tell me they are not even seeing charges being submitted for authorization. I took it up to the parent company of my business credit card (Elan Financial Services) and they checked all the issues 2Checkout said was causing the problem and again they are not seeing any purchases being submitted for authorization, so there is a problem in between my bank and 2Checkout. I went back to 2Checkout to find if they can find out more details to get this issue fixed, who exactly is denying the purchases (this is the second time, the first time I was told they would get back to me and never did)? I was again told that I should call my bank, I asked for more information about where the purchase was being denied and the 2Checkout service representative got angry, told me to "tell your bank to do a better job, I do my job" so I asked for a supervisor and was told there are none available and if you do speak to one it will have to be in the morning and they will tell you the same thing, it is 10pm here so no supervisors will be in until the morning, I could do the math to figure out when that was. I will now change out all of my software for both my business and home, Malwarebytes loses a customer and I will look to see if 2Checkout is handing the credit card processing for any future purchase and if they are then I will go elsewhere. What a shame, you benefit by handling the sales transactions but will not even try to resolve an issue but instead treat customers poorly, play the blame game and now even your clients suffer.
