The 1Factory software has many benefits and has helped reduce errors related to sending out of spec parts to our customers by identifying keying entry errors and actual out-of-spec conditions as they occur during data entry. The ability to add Mfg & Inspection Plans allows for consistent data input & automated inspection with the ability to graphically view trends & overall capability analyses. The report output also adds to the reduction of "transfer of information" errors and contains all information in a common repository for easy retrieval of both current and historical data. The linkage of the customer's part number to our own internal part number doesn't seem to allow search of part number through the use of the internal part number which is actually used more than the customer's part number. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

This software have many specific capabilities that make it a key part of our QMS and day to day operation at our company.

One of the most useful features is the Master Gage library, this can set up reminders for calibration, calibration history, serial numbers, attachments and practically anything to manage complex environments like ours with many hand gauges, tools and equipment. It gives you easy to understand color coded warnings to alert you that some of your gages and equipment are due for calibration. Plus it has built-in sorting capabilities to easily find the record that you are looking for, you can download your entire library and edit it through a spreadsheet and re upload it with all the changes saved.

There are way too many good things about this software to cover it all in this post. This software really simplifies the inspection process. It allows you to create inspection plans in a short amount of time. This includes creating a ballooned drawing where every dimension is conditionally formatted. The software also has a built in calibration log which reminds you when your calibrations are due.Once you have an inspection plan, you can easily create a fully comprehensive inspection package. 1Factory is easy to use. This sounds like a basic criteria for any software, but elegance is in simplicity and this tool delivers.

1Factory brings life to your dusty control plans and has enabled a different level of integration with our key suppliers on high risk parts. The ease of use is definitely a plus when using and training personnel on this software. All inspectors were trained within one business day, which helps with the transition from a previously used software to 1factory. As a QE the reporting side is my favorite tool that 1factory has. Before 1factory it would take a couple of days to gather all the information needed to present to the board once a month. Now with 1factory the reports make themselves, just make sure you are filling in all the required information. MSA uses the NCR charts to attack areas that need attention, whether it be supplier defects or reoccurring shop floor defects. This drives Corrective Action, which 1factory also as superb CAPA module that has a task management side to drive actions with dates! The time it used to take me to write inspections plans is cut down tremendously with being able to click on dimensions and setting frequencies to check said dimensions at. This also takes the human error out of it when looking at drawing with 50+ dimensions. Another plus is the visibility, everyone that has a seat on the software can see tasks, PPM's (Internally & externally) & supplier performance. Another plus was the customization that Nipun and his team provide. They are always striving to make this software even greater than it already is. Since we have started around a year ago our wish for Gage management, Audit findings & Approved Vendor list has been achieved and is live. Nipun and his team are always available to work through any issues we have had and they have came up with a plan to work out any issues we have had. Which is not much. I honestly cannot say I dislike anything about this software. It has been night and day compared to what I was working with prior to 1 factory.
