In one of my concept visualization activities, I needed a quick 3D representation of a product idea before spending time creating a detailed model manually. Instead of starting completely from scratch in traditional modeling software, I used Meshy with a reference image and text prompt to generate a base 3D concept within minutes.
What I liked most was how simple and fast the workflow felt. The interface was easy to navigate, and even while testing different concepts, generating models and exporting them into other 3D tools was straightforward.
The AI-based Image-to-3D generation was especially useful during early-stage prototyping because it helped visualize ideas quickly without spending long hours on manual modeling. After generating the base model, I could further refine or optimize it in other software depending on the requirement. From a productivity perspective, it saved significant time during concept exploration and helped speed up iteration when trying multiple design variations.
The onboarding experience was also smooth because the platform was simple enough to start using without extensive training or setup. Avis collecté par et hébergé sur G2.com.
One limitation I noticed is that generated models sometimes require additional cleanup before they are fully usable in production workflows. For example, while testing more detailed or complex shapes, I occasionally encountered topology issues, uneven surfaces, or extra geometry that needed correction in external 3D software.
I also felt that achieving very precise results can require multiple prompt adjustments and retries. In some cases, the generated output was close to the idea but still needed manual refinement.
Another challenge is that credits can get consumed quickly while experimenting with multiple variations during concept exploration, especially when testing different prompts repeatedly. Avis collecté par et hébergé sur G2.com.
