# What is HEC-HMS?

I know Hydrologic Engineering Center’s Hydrologic Modeling System is abbreviated as HEC-HMS. But can someone please help me understand what the software is all about.

HEC-HMS (Système de Modélisation Hydrologique du Centre d'Ingénierie Hydrologique) est un programme informatique développé par le Corps des Ingénieurs de l'Armée des États-Unis (USACE) pour la modélisation hydrologique. Il est utilisé pour simuler les processus hydrologiques qui se produisent dans un bassin versant, tels que les précipitations, le ruissellement, l'évapotranspiration et l'infiltration.
