TextExpander at times gets in the way of the editing and writing that I do. Text snipped shortcuts are best when written to be just a few characters. This is a challenge when I don't think ahead to consider snippets that might be part of written language. TextExpander is a robust macro environment in which I can define anything from quick shortcuts to complex forms using the intuitive builder. These easy-to-implement templates help me write emails, execute complex CLI commands, and provide my customers with consistent and timely support. There are many phrases, sign-offs, sentences, and pieces of information related to my work and 'life admin' that I previously wrote up to 10 times a week. Those related to my life-admin especially, such as addresses, vehicle registration numbers, passport number, policy numbers, etc, required I look them up through my files and emails. I no longer do that! I simply type a few letters and an email appears, including separate paragraphs, or any other piece of information that I created a snippet for.

I love that it functions in ANY software or application.

I also use TextExpander to auto-correct certain words I often mistype, similar to the AutoCorrect function in Word.

I love that I can create shortcuts for making custom URL links using a customer's account IDs and other specific info with TextExpander. It's a huge time-saver! I use the same entries multiple times a week, and anything that makes it more efficient and streamlined is a win. It's also very easy to create and customize my shortcuts. I use TextExpander for a variety of written communication at work, and it saves me a ton of time. I love that it lets me create templates for long messages that I frequently send. By typing just a few letters, the full messages appear exactly where I want them, instead of taking minutes to write out everything from scratch. It's easy to use and definitely saves a lot of time. I like that TextExpander is really easy to use. It's really easy to set up within my computer. I like that there's a way to file and organize things. The forms allow for really customized templates, and utilizing the answer fields is really helpful. I love the ease of use (very user-friendly, simple to set up new macros and manage existing ones), saves me a TON of time and also gives me assurance that I don't have typos in my email correspondence and other typed documents. I also love that I can use it across multiple devices - that's incredibly helpful as I have two that I use for work and I appreciate not having to pay for two licenses.

The program was simple to install, opens and runs seamlessly in the background while I work, and works across all of my programs (another great advantage over setting up macros individually in every program I use).

As a user of TextExpander for over 12 years, I can say that's such a time saver. From being able to save my repetitive work such as weekly emails to being able to just some simple auto correct of commonly misspelled words, it's easily one of the most important tools that I use on a daily basis. *Some folk will create a snippet by using a common word and you'll be typing something somewhere and in mid-thought and a random snippet will paste itself. Those throw me for a loop when it happens. But I just go in, and will add a symbol before the word and problem solved.
