The support from their staff is amazing; they are always there whenever I have a question or need to bounce ideas off someone. The speed and reliability of my sites hosted with them are impressive, and the custom interface feels similar to cPanel in all the right ways without the quirks. I feel like I have a team that truly cares about my business. The value I get from the machine power for the price is fantastic, and I trust in their service because of their attention to detail and overall candor in communication. They provide quick responses and efficient solutions, like when they set up a Docker instance for me in under thirty minutes. Everything from setup to moving my data over has been super easy and seamless. Realistically, the only gripe I have with ScalaHosting is their backup system on the SPanel server. The local backups have weird issues with timestamps being inaccurate, sometimes showing the wrong date or time. SPanel will show one timestamp on a backup file, but when I FTP and see the same file on the server, the timestamps are different; it seems like a quirk with their automated backups. For example, if I delete an automatically-generated backup in SPanel Admin, it'll come right back since there's no time-specific scheduling functionality like "run automatic (daily/weekly/monthly) backups ONLY at this time of day." As a result, if my server's configured to run daily backups, and I delete one of these daily backups (to free up space), it silently backs up again right after I delete it. This can cause hiccups with timestamps (sometimes being off by hours, sometimes being off by days) which may become an issue in terms of general usability, data retention, auditing, and disaster recovery.
