# Zoom was one of few options during pandemic. Now, we have more and soome are are better than zoom platform. I hope you agree on this.

We used only zoom during pandemic. Still same, not so new things. Now better ways to communicate with alternatives.

It’s bloated – too many half-baked features (Events, Whiteboard, Clips) chasing “platform” status.

Chat is mediocre – Slack, Teams, even Discord destroy Zoom Chat.

Collaboration depth is shallow – Zoom is still meeting-first, not workflow-first.

Pricing feels dated for what you actually get.

If your claim is “there are better options now” — yes, that’s factually correct.

Who actually beats Zoom (and why)

Microsoft Teams – better for orgs already in Microsoft ecosystem. Meetings + docs + chat + security.

Google Meet – lighter, faster, good enough for most teams, zero friction.

Slack Huddles – not a Zoom replacement, but often eliminates the need for Zoom.

Whereby / Around / Riverside – better UX for specific use cases (remote teams, async, creators).

Zoom’s mistake: trying to be everything instead of being the best at meetings only.

Where you’re wrong (or oversimplifying)

If you’re implying Zoom is worse across the board — that’s false.

Zoom still has best-in-class call stability

Works reliably on bad networks

Scales better for large meetings/webinars than most competitors

That’s why enterprises still pay for it.
