# Will electronic employment applications be implemented in the near future?

Having applicants fill out applications right in Jazz will not only be a simpler way of processing applications, but we wouldn't need to scan paper apps and it would make us look more modern. It is needed.

You can build an application when you post a job as Kelly Peters mentions.  At my company we like to keep the initial job posting as short and sweet as possible so as not to turn off candidates by having them fill out too much information.  An alternative is to upload your company's current application into the documents section under settings and then create an etemplate that you can send directly to candidates who you are interested in.  Hope that helps.

Personally, I agree that you should keep the initial online application short-and-sweet... especially when you have to ask EOE / OFCCP questions... just the name, phone number, email address, and attach a resume is enough in my opinion.

That being stated, I do use JazzHR to send a follow-up questionnaire electronically to the viable candidates that I identify after reviewing their initial applications...
