# Why when saving a ppt in older version as a show, it does'nt keep the animation and transitions as they are peoduced in the newer version?

Simply put because of the new tech it uses.
You might be able to use them after all if you export as a video or a standalone presentation that can be used with any viewer without the need to have POWERPOINT installed.
