# Why there are so many problems with our tape backup? I really astonished if a backup job just works

I'm so fed up with arcserve I can't tell you. I even reject to take care of it any more. I am sorry I don't have the time any more to sahre all my expereinces with you. There are 33 jobs that did not work so I have to telephone to the service provides. Did I already I so fed up with Arcserve?

I’ve had a very similar experience with Arcserve UDP, especially in environments where tape backup is heavily relied on and job consistency is critical. In theory, the platform is meant to simplify centralized backup and recovery, but in practice, it often feels like it requires constant monitoring and manual intervention just to keep jobs running reliably. I’ve also found that troubleshooting usually involves going back and forth with support, which slows down resolution even further.

There can be many variables for backup failure-open files, permissions etc..It is usually an issue with the software you are using for backups. Arcserve is a great software I use and it will backup open files in both the cloud and local drives.
