# Why does Keeper randomly lose passwords

Occasionally passwords get lost in your system.  Why does this happen?

Hi Randy, I&#39;ve had cases that the password is &quot;lost&quot; but it is in another folder.  This often happens when the password is automatically created when logging onto a site and allowing Keeper to generate the login data.  Also, the site labels it according to the URL and may make it confusing to find the record.

Sorry to hear that you&#39;re having an issue with missing passwords, but Keeper does not make manual changes to your vault records.
