# Why does Beautiful.ai feel more restrictive than Slaide for complex PowerPoint decks?

We originally used Slaide, then switched to Beautiful.ai because we wanted to try the Smart Slide approach and liked the idea of making presentation creation even faster.

For simple presentations, Beautiful.ai definitely does that well. But for more complex business decks, we increasingly struggled with the layout restrictions and especially with continuing the work in PowerPoint. We ultimately switched back to Slaide because it gives us more freedom with complex and information-dense slides while still producing PowerPoint presentations that we can properly edit afterwards.

I’m curious whether other Beautiful.ai users have had a similar experience. Do you mainly use it for simpler decks and move to PowerPoint for more complex work, or have you found a good way to get the same level of flexibility and PowerPoint editability that tools like Slaide provide?
