# Why do I have an issue when I change the slug of a blogpost already created?

Why is it that when I change the url of a blogpost already created via the settings, I am then forced to do a redirection 3xx because the new url use http instead of https like my other blogposts?

Because it's already live, you would need to create a 301 redirect from the old slug to the new slug so that it does not affect your SEO rating, and break links anywhere on your site.
