# Why can't we not have the chat saved? We can save the recordings that seem to be more complex.

During my classes I take notes on the chat and the student would like to keep the annotations. Now they are used to manually copy and paste it on a notepad, but the problem is that sometimes they forget and it vanishes. It is also useful because we can know what time the class started and finished and also prove to the student that they had class on that they (in case they complain)
