Deception Technology reviews on G2 come from a very small pool for two of these three: sixteen reviews each for Tracebit and Labyrinth, worth keeping in mind before weighing them against Cynet&#39;s much larger review base. That said, the mechanism each describes is different enough to matter regardless of sample size. Tracebit&#39;s cloud canaries and Labyrinth&#39;s imitation network hosts are both built so that any interaction at all is the alert, which is a cleaner signal than a bundled platform&#39;s deception module competing for attention with everything else it also does.
The post&#39;s own closing question is worth answering directly, since a vendor whose whole product is deception has more incentive to keep decoys realistic and low-friction than one where deception is a smaller feature inside a broader EDR and SOAR platform, even if Cynet&#39;s lightweight agent doesn&#39;t slow down endpoint performance. For a team that wants deception to disappear into daily operations, specifically, a dedicated vendor&#39;s narrower focus is probably the safer bet until Tracebit and Labyrinth&#39;s review bases grow enough to say more confidently.
