# When do I think about the scalability, of the solution?

I have found the solution really easy to visualize but we have 8-10 people using the platform that includes data engineers and data scientists when I should start thinking about the scalability of the solution?

Hi Balaji,
thanks for your question.
Celonis comes with a wide range of use cases for departments all across the company. Hence, there are many options and opportunities for scaling.

We suggest the following:
Start with one use case and focus on value realization. Not only look into identifying value (theoretical), but really realize it (practical). Use this as your lighthouse project which you can present to senior management.

Then, you can look into scaling - either vertically within the process/department that already uses Celonis, so diving deeper and working on more use cases within that one process. Or horizontally in a new department/process. The vertical scaling can also mean that you start with one use case in one country, realize value and then rollout the same use case in different countries/locations.

For both cases, you can leverage the material available from Celonis (e.g. from our events, but also with support from your Customer Value Manager) on new potentials inside your company.

For scaling, we recommend setting up a Operating Model with clear responsibilities to ensure a continuous cycle of value creation. All project members need to be aware of what their tasks are, what is expected from them and how frequently they should do it. Also, when setting this up, it is helpful to ensure a frequent flow of knowledge transfer. E.g. you might have power users (your current data scientists) that can help to answer questions from new users. So you might want to offer weekly office hours, when new users can ask their questions to the power users.

Lastly, senior level buy-in and support is key to scaling - as this ensures that Celonis is feeding into your overall strategic projects but also that you get more resources whenever needed. So once again - proofing the value of Celonis with a first lighthouse project will allow you to start successful scaling.
